Munawaroh, Dhesy Puspitasari","doi":"10.17509/ijost.v7i2.50800","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17509/ijost.v7i2.50800","url":null,"abstract":"This study aims to utilize benzotriazolium salt-ionic liquids (ILs) as solvents in the oil palm empty fruit bunch (EFB) waste pretreatment along with bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer. Three ILs have been synthesized and tested as EFB solvents by a microwave-heating method. Those are organic salts of 1,3-methyl-octyl-1,2,3-benzotriazolium ([MOBzt]+) cation with three kinds of anions such as bromide ([Br]-), acetate ([CH3COO]-), and thiocyanate ([SCN]-). The bibliometric analysis showed that new research needs to be conducted to improve the development of research relating to biomass pretreatment. The highest solubility of EFB is in [MOBzt]CH3COO is about 7,5% w/w. The effect of anions on the ability to dissolve EFB is CH3COO-SCN-Br-. When subject to ILs pretreatment, EFB exhibited increased cellulose crystallinity, changed in the structure of cellulose I to cellulose II, reduced particle size, and decreased lignin content compared to untreated one, improving the glucose yield from enzymatic hydrolysis. The highest glucose yield (1,237 mg/mL) was obtained when the EFB was pretreated by [MOBzt]CH3COO with enzymatic hydrolysis for 24 hours. Carbon quantum dots (CQDs) are the new generation of nanoparticles that have attracted interest for their utilization as modifiers. In this study, a composite of metakaolin(MK)/CQDs was synthesized and tested for methylene blue (MB) removal. The heating and acid-alkali treatment of kaolin transformed it into MK. The interaction between MK and CQDs was analyzed using XPS to detect the binding of pyridic NH2 and C-N. By loading CQDs into the kaolin matrix, the surface area was improved and the removal of MB increased. For a lower MB concentration at 5 ppm, the removal efficiency could reach 96%. We determined the cytotoxic and anti-metastatic activity of isolates obtained from EA rhizome extract. IC50 value for 1,7-diphenyl-6-heptene-3-one, sitostenone, sinapyl alcohol diacetate, and sinapyl alcohol acetate were 134.59; 170 ; 128.11; and 161.96 μg/mL, respectively. The compounds also had anti-migration activity. 200-μg/mL Sitostenon exhibited the lowest migration rate (3.32%). The free bond energies of sitostenon, 1,7-diphenyl-6-heptene-3-one, sinapyl alcohol acetate, and sinapyl alcohol diacetate were -11.81; -8.25; -6.64; and -6.28 kcal/mol, respectively. All compounds were more effective in stabilizing the Matrix metalloproteinase 1 complex. To quantitatively estimate the increase in nonlinearity, the barotropic hydrodynamic model was applied in an idealized junction domain, inspired by the Ota River Estuary junction. Even though the model was simplified, it successfully reproduced the increase in nonlinearity at the junction apex. A sensitivity analysis of tidal nonlinearity to the width of the upstream channel at the junction was performed by varying the upstream channel width from the same width as the branch channel width to three times the branch channel width. The relationship between the upstream channel width at the apex and tidal nonlinearity was not linear. Tidal nonlinearity was maximized when the apex width was twice the branch channel width. The convergence of the tides in the small width junction induced an increase of some positions of quarter-diurnal tidal constituent that raised the tidal nonlinearity. Here, we compared the anticancer effect of CLA with its lipid forms (FFA and phosphatidylcholine [PC]) on the breast cancer cell line MCF-7 with Soy-PC as a control. CLA-FFA, CLA-PC, and Soy-PC caused a dose- and time-dependent inhibition of MCF-7 growth. However, the lowest antiproliferative activity was observed with CLA-PC. These results were consistent with Hoechst staining and protein expression of apoptosis markers Bax and Bcl-2. Interestingly, CLA-PC uptake was four times lower than that of Soy-PC, which may have affected its antiproliferative effect. Many papers showing that phospholipid forms of functional compounds have superior activity than intact forms have been reported, however, our results suggest that the PC form of CLA was inferior to its FFA form in inhibiting MCF-7 cell growth. The experimental conditions for the gelling of the Fe (III)-H3PO4 system are defined.  Potentiometric Time Titration (PTT) and Potentiometric Mass Titration (PMT) methods were used to investigate the acid-base surface chemistry of obtained phosphate. Variations of surface charge with the contact time, Q = f(t), are examined for time contact ranged from 0 to 72 hours. The concentrations suspensions used for this purpose were 0.75, 1.25, and 2.5 g/L. The point of zero charges (PZC) and isoelectric point (IEP) were defined using the derivative method examining the variations , at lower contact time. A value of 5.4 was obtained for both PZC and IEP. Q in the function of the t method is performed for synthesized FePO4. 2H2O in NaCl and KCl electrolytes. The optimal surface charge of 40 C corresponding to insertion of 4.2x10-4 M of Na+ or K+, is achieved in explored conditions. It produces a low-value by-product of ash and is rich in silica that can become a precursor for zeolite production. In this study, acid-treated corn leaves combustion was performed to produce high purity silica (SiO2). The diffraction pattern suggested that the extracted silica was amorphous without the impurities phase. Additionally, the nitrogen isotherm indicated that the material was highly mesoporous silica with a total surface area of 200 m2/g. The hydrothermal method was then applied with a composition molar ratio of 1.25SiO2:1Al2O3:5Na2O:250H2O to synthesize zeolites from the silica. The temperature and time effect on the hydrothermal zeolite’s synthesis was investigated. The diffraction pattern shows that high crystalline zeolite Na A-X was produced at temperatures of 100°C and 8 h hydrothermal time. According to nitrogen physisorption analysis, the zeolite Na A-X consisted of micropores with a total surface area of 270 m2/g. The morphology of zeolite Na A-X was cube for the Na-A and octahedral for the Na-X. The hydrothermal temperature and time highly affected the zeolite formed. These properties are influenced by moisture content and grain type. This study aimed to determine the effect of moisture content and grain type on the mechanical properties of white rice. There are three different types of white rice, namely short-bold (Koshihikari), long-medium (IR 64), and very long-slender (Basmati) grains within three levels of moisture content of 9%, 14%, and 19% were used as the samples in the experiment. The experiment was designed into Completely Randomized Design, factorial 3 x 3. The dimension, internal friction angle, and rupture force of the grain samples were respectively measured using a digital calliper, direct shear cell apparatus, and compression test apparatus. It could be concluded that moisture content, grain type, and the interaction of these two factors significantly affected almost all parameters of the mechanical properties of white rice. The UHI represents environmental quality decrease and able to change a microclimate in the long term. It phenomenon can be estimated using multi-temporal remote sensing imagery data. This study aims to analyze the spatial dynamics of UHI in the urban region of West Java from 1998 to 2018. We only used remote sensing data from different datasets. Information of land-surface temperature is extracted from Landsat-5 TM and Landsat-8 OLI images using radiative transfer equation which validated using MODIS data in the same period. This study showed that UHI intensity in the urban region of West Java reach 5.11oC in 2018. For 20 years, the land-surface temperature increased to 4.44oC. The UHI distribution is concentrated in the central business district, industrial area, harbor, terminal, airport, and traffic jam zone. The UHI significantly increased in Depok and Cimahi, which are known as satellite cities for the surrounding megapolitan (Jakarta and Bandung Raya). This model has high validity result with a correlation value of 0.74. The standard MPPT algorithms for partial-shading conditions are: (i) conventional; (ii) mathematics-based; (iii) artificial intelligence; (iv) metaheuristic. The main problems of the conventional methods are poor power harvesting and low efficiency due to many local maximum appearances and difficulty in determining the global maximum tracking. This paper presents MPPT algorithms for partial-shading conditions, mainly metaheuristics algorithms. Firstly, the four classification algorithms will be reviewed. Secondly, an in-depth review of the metaheuristic algorithms is presented. Remarkably, 40 metaheuristic algorithms are classified into four classes for a more detailed discussion; physics-based, biology-based, sociology-based, and human behavior-based are presented and evaluated comprehensively. Furthermore, the performance comparison of the 40 metaheuristic algorithms in terms of complexity level, converter type, sensor requirement, steady-state oscillation, tracking capability, cost, and grid connection are synthesized. Generally, readers can choose the most appropriate algorithms according to application necessities and system conditions.
