The CPT current decompositions result in several current terms, which are associated with specific physical phenomena (average power consumption P, energy storage Q, load and source distortion D, unbalances N). These current components were used in this work for the definition of different current compensators, which can be selective in terms of minimizing particular disturbing effects. Compensation strategies for single and three-phase four-wire circuits have also been considered. Simulation results have been demonstrated in order to validate the possibilities and performance of the proposed strategies.","PeriodicalId":371843,"journal":{"name":"2010 International School on Nonsinusoidal Currents and Compensation","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115024328","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, when employed in systems with high frequency variability such as micro-grids, the synchronization method required for operation in the synchronous reference frame or for dynamic retuning of the resonant controller may experience poor performance or even loss of phase-lock. A method is presented here based on CPC current decomposition that allows control of grid connected converters without direct supply synchronization. In this paper the proposed method is described and then performance is evaluated for systems with high frequency variability and non-ideal supply voltage conditions.","PeriodicalId":371843,"journal":{"name":"2010 International School on Nonsinusoidal Currents and Compensation","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130773889","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, proposing a generalized time-domain method is pursued in order to achieve full cancellation of the source-end neutral current under unbalanced and distorted load voltage waveforms. The suggested technique makes it clear that any time-domain methods, capable of eliminating the neutral current under non-ideal load voltages, necessarily uses the proposed technique. Additionally, the IRP, the CMIP and the Z_GTIP methods are reviewed as the well known successful algorithms in cancelling the zero sequence current under non-ideal circumstances. Apparently, these methods are dissimilar and there is no relationship among them. Then, a comprehensive analytically performance assessment on these methods is presented to extract the precise reason of their efficiency under non-ideal load voltages. As another contribution of this paper, it is concluded that the aforementioned methods are derived from the same root, involving in the proposed idea. Thus, the significance of the proposed idea in cancelling the source end neutral current will be clear.","PeriodicalId":371843,"journal":{"name":"2010 International School on Nonsinusoidal Currents and Compensation","volume":"46 25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127129864","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An approximation of the solution is based on the use Galerkin's method and an extension of differential equations of one variable of time to equations of two variables of time. The results of calculations for processes in a three-phase MRFC with buck-boost topology are obtained in the form of a double Fourier series and compared with the numerical method.","PeriodicalId":371843,"journal":{"name":"2010 International School on Nonsinusoidal Currents and Compensation","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123021591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A procedure appropriate for searching the loads causing voltage fluctuation is proposed. The procedure utilizes two measures of fluctuation: Pst indicator as well as minimal and maximal values of voltages and currents. An analysis is included of four exemplary measuring results, recorded in a LV network. The effect of this analysis is a conclusion whether a disturbing load appears or not. The first Example illustrates the state in which it was possible to designate a disturbing load. The other Example shows a situation in which an unequivocal conclusion is impossible. In Examples 3 and 4 it was found that the loads under investigation are not dominant sources of voltage fluctuation. By means of the hereby analysis of measurement data the authors prove the diagnostic potential of the proposed procedure for searching for disturbing loads","PeriodicalId":371843,"journal":{"name":"2010 International School on Nonsinusoidal Currents and Compensation","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128618095","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
