However, because of the development of technology, recent years, people spend a lot of time to use smartphone. This makes people start to use smartphone to absorb knowledge, even these knowledges come from books. The situation also let people, especially young people, preference to read book from smartphone. Moreover, electronic book, which is also a popular way to preserver precious documents and graphic materials, also become a new method for providing people knowledge as same as paper book. Thus, for better maintain the advantage of using smartphone, such as easy to carry, and keep the advantage of reading paper book, such as the reading quality, we develop an intuitive operation mobile application for people, to simulate a near-realistic reading experience through VR and AR technology while people using smartphone.","PeriodicalId":371828,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Conference on Human System Interaction (HSI)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121028761","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially, teleoperation technologies are expected to play an important role. Therefore, this study proposes bilateral haptic feedback control for different working ranges based on force-information transmission. Conventional bilateral control systems for the different working ranges are based on a dimensional scaling method which utilizes position/velocity-forces hybrid control. In dimensional scaling, the position of the master system tracks the speed of the slave, and the velocity of the slave system tracks the position of the master system. The proposed method can achieve a dimensional scaling control with force feedback by transmitting only force information with the performance equivalent to the conventional method. The proposed method can reduce the amount of haptic data traffic because of the utilization of only one type of information. Simulations evaluate the proposed method with a comparison to the conventional methods.","PeriodicalId":371828,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Conference on Human System Interaction (HSI)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125295097","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there is currently no systematic SoA evaluation method within the context of heavy machinery operation. With our research, we intended to develop a SoA scale for heavy machinery operation (SoAS-HMO). The scale evaluated the psychological experiences of operators while they voluntarily operated heavy machinery. To build this scale, we conducted two surveys: a semi-structured interview survey to initially prepare the scale items, and a questionnaire survey to explore and confirm the scale structure. Subsequent factor analysis revealed one factor and twenty-one items that were related to the SoA experienced during operation, with sufficient reliability and validity, specifically with goodness of fit index (GFI) = 0.933, adjusted GFI (AGFI) = 0.911, comparative fit index (CFI) = 0.909., and Cronbach's a = 0.97. Therefore., this scale can successfully measure the subjective SoA of the operator and be applied to evaluate machinery efficiency. Our study provides progress towards improving heavy machinery systems that can be intentionally controlled by operators.","PeriodicalId":371828,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Conference on Human System Interaction (HSI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130127453","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various body function measurement tests have been designed to assess a child's GM performance, but the assessment process is a laborious manual task; hence, IT automation combined with activity recognition (AR) is highly desirable. This paper focuses on GM assessment deep-learning (DL) by expanding the previous fruitful result of GM classifiction, which utilized OpenPose to detect childrens' skeletons, a specific person tracking algorithm to recover the OpenPose's drawbacks, conversion of the skeleton's time-series data into motional time-series images, and its data augmentation technieque. A procedure for building a database containing assessment information is presented, and a new CNN-based deep learning network that performs both GM classification and evaluation simultaneously is proposed. Applying these methods to actual GM assessment including 13 types GM motions including 155 combinations of GM assesment scores, the new GM-AR could classify them with a very high accuracy of 99.6%.","PeriodicalId":371828,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Conference on Human System Interaction (HSI)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131538627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to confirm the effectiveness of the assistance using our first prototype TENS device (ver. 1), a virtual space walk experiment was conducted for one participant, and the distances between the participant and obstacles were investigated. As a result, the effectiveness was confirmed by comparing the assistance case with the non assisted (U test, p<.05). Furthermore, a new portable TENS device (ver. 2) equipped with an ultrasonic distance measurement device and a wireless BLE communication device was developed in this study since the first TENS prototype device was not suitable for carrying due to the wired-style. It is important to evaluate the condition of rheumatoid arthritis in order to give the suitable treatment. However, the evaluation task takes time and is necessary to experience of the doctor. Therefore, it is desirable to develop the automatic evaluation system. Our objective goal is to develop the automatic evaluation system that can be updated using the revised data obtained by the doctor. It is clear that the evaluation system of the doctor consists of the recognition system and the classification system. This paper proposes the recognition of the joint in the X-ray photograph using the machine learning. To realize the system, we separate the recognition system into four procedure; convert procedure, training procedure, validation procedure, and feedback procedure. And the effectiveness of the proposed system is investigated using the real X-ray photographs of the patients with rheumatoid arthritis. As a result, it is clear that a lot of correct data are necessary to improve the accuracy. Therefore, it is clear that the it is more effective to improve the accuracy, if the revised data obtained by the doctor are feedbacked to the training system.","PeriodicalId":371828,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Conference on Human System Interaction (HSI)","volume":"124 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133557051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It focuses on the cooperative realization of a complex task. For this purpose, we propose a human-agent interaction model based on game theory to describe the decision making between the human operator and the assistant agent. The proposed model is based on searching Nash equilibria for a repeated two-player game in which each player has a choice between two actions. In particular, the assistant agent knows how to calculate the equilibrium that depends on information coming from the context (human operator and work environment). This approach allows us to consider a context aware human-machine system. Then, the assistant agent knows how to optimize its intervention with regard to the human operator assisted by this agent during a complex task. For the validation of our model, we highlight the efficiency of the assistant agent using this principle by considering a road traffic simulator using Netlogo. An analysis of the simulation results is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of our approach.","PeriodicalId":371828,"journal":{"name":"2020 13th International Conference on Human System Interaction (HSI)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114143106","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
