Various fuzzy logic methods are conveniently employed for path planning of mobile robots as they are most helpful in handling uncertain data. In this work the robot starts from a fixed initial location towards a goal destination without colliding with obstacles in between within a shortest path possible both in static as well as dynamic environment. Here an analysis of fuzzy rules for path planning of a mobile robot for various membership funcions is done. Both simulation results and real time implementations on I Robot create platform are shown in this paper. Fuzzy tool box in Matlab is used for simulation. Three combinations of membership functions with 24 rules are considered. These include-Trapezoidal and Triangular, Bell and Trapezoidal and finally triangular and Bell. Initially, the animal images are segmented using maximal region merging segmentation algorithm. The Gabor features are extracted from segmented images. Further, the extracted features are reduced based on supervised and unsupervised methods. In supervised method, we have used Linear Discriminate Analysis (LDA) dimension reduction technique to reduce the features. The reduced features are fed into symbolic classifier for the purpose of classification. In unsupervised method, we have used Principle component analysis (PCA) dimension reduction technique to reduce the features. The reduced features are fed into K-means algorithm for the purpose of grouping. Experimentation has been conducted on a dataset of 2000 animal images consisting of 20 different categories of animals with varying percentages of training samples. This step is essential for characterizing videos in any video processing system. Reliable detection of shots in videos is still a challenging issue. In this work, we address automatic detection of abrupt shots in video sequences. We have proposed a method termed as Midrange LBP (MRLBP), which enhances the discriminative capability of basic LBP. Each frame of a video is processed to extract LBP histogram values based on midrange statistics for its description. A dissimilarity measure is applied on the feature vectors of adjacent frames and the distance values obtained are used for shot detection process using adaptive threshold approach. To check the efficacy of the proposed method, we carried out experiments on a subset of standard video data set TRECVID 2001. These tests involve simulation of thermal and vacuum environments for the space which are performed in thermo-vacuum chambers as well as thermal cycling tests for appendages. Temperature variations in these tests are performed by radiatively coupling the test object with an active surface heated and cooled by the media flowing within. Usually thermocouples placed on the test object act as the process value to which the control system responds by manipulating the temperature of the media in the active surface. Unlike other process applications where a fault in the control channel value can be tolerated or rectified, sensors in thermo-vacuum chambers are inaccessible. The failure of this thermocouple leads to loss of control or wrong control action. This paper introduces the application of model identification techniques to simulate the test object thermocouple data. The same simulated value is used as the process value for the control system. The developed application identifies linear models viz. ARX and ArMaX and non-linear models viz. NLARX and Neural. The simulated process value for the control system is automatically selected in case of constraint violation by the actual sensor value. Process dynamics can be observed and either PID or Fuzzy control can be applied. Recently partial detection of face is necessitate and magnetizing much observation in the information science and technology society. However this research has been done to explore new ideas for identifying a particular person in a crowd along with occluded facial information. This paper derives from an in-depth study of face detection under partial visibility such as chrominance, illuminations, Pose variations and Saturations etc. In this paper, we give an introduction of new data processing techniques and framework for the partial detection of face and recognize a particular person in a crowd. The transformations that are trivially concurrent by the partial face recognizer. A thresholding effect is demonstrated for the Rician fading channel; it is shown that the OC-ICE performance is near optimal (i.e., similar to that for the maximum ratio combiner (MRC)) below a (Rician K factor dependent) threshold irrespective of the pilot channel received SNR. Above the threshold, the performance degrades and in certain cases approaches the performance of the Rayleigh fading case. A new analytical evaluation of the bit error probability of the OC-ICE in Rician fading is presented. Initially, text documents are processed to extract significant terms present in them. For every term extracted from a document, we compute its importance in preserving the content of a class through a novel term-weighting scheme known as Term_Class Relevance (TCR) measure proposed by Guru and Suhil (2015) [1]. In this way, for every term, its relevance for all the classes present in the corpus is computed and stored in the knowledgebase. During testing, the terms present in the test document are extracted and the term-class relevance of each term is obtained from the stored knowledgebase. To achieve quick search of term weights, B-tree indexing data structure has been adapted. Finally, the class which receives maximum support in terms of term-class relevance is decided to be the class of the given test document. The proposed method works in logarithmic complexity in testing time and simple to implement when compared to any other text categorization techniques available in literature. These messages contain various characters to display the message. A single character is displayed by a matrix containing a particular number of rows and columns. By combining a number of characters we displayed any message on LED display board. The message shown with the help of LED is the LED text. The LED text is very hard to detect because it shows discontinuity. This paper proposed a method to solve the problem of LED text detection and recognition. To perform the method we need to extract the board region from natural image. The work is developed by firstly inputting an image. The input image is then processed to convert the colors to gray-scale. Then, the image is segmented to extract the rectangular region. From this paper we can detect even a single character with single character extraction method. Noise generated in environment or channel tends to degrade the performance of speech recognition systems. Such unwanted noise signals may alter the main characteristic features of voice signals and corrupt the quality of speech signal and information contained in it. This causes a significant harm to human-computer interactive systems. Noise processing of these signals for speech recognition systems is generally articulated as a digital filtering process in which noisy speech is passed through linear filter to obtain the clean speech estimation. This paper focuses on noise estimation, removal and speech enhancement techniques. In this paper, initial findings support Gamma tone filters instead of conventional Weiner filters and Line Enhancers. In Positioning Navigation Timing (PNT) application, measurement is affected by some intentional and unintentional sources of error. This Measurement also depends on the volume of tetrahedron created by the geometry of measuring satellites. The Satellites geometry is measured by single dimensionless numbers called GDOP. Lower the GDOP value, the better the satellite Geometry, hence the position measured by the system is more precise. Currently, IRNSS system has six active satellites in an orbit. In this paper performance analysis of IRNSS, GPS and IRNSS+GPS are investigated by computing the GDOP due to all satellites in view. The performance analysis is done using ACCORD IRNSS receiver which is provided by SAC, ISRO, Ahmedabad.
