Aimed at older populations, Kantaki offers a variety of services, including home-visit nursing care, day care, and overnight care. This study clarified the factors that affect the estimated revenue of Kantaki services through a secondary analysis of detailed information released by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW). Our goal was to provide information that may facilitate the stable management of Kantaki operations across Japan. Methods: We conducted a secondary analysis of official statistics data and detailed information released by the MHLW in April 2020. As such, we calculated the estimated revenue for Kantaki services. We then conducted a logistic regression analysis with estimated revenue set as the dependent variable in order to assess the magnitude of each influencing factor. Results: A total of 594 multifunctional in-home long-term care services were established. Of these, 506 met the requirements for Kantaki set in this study’s analysis. The logistic regression analysis showed that items with large odds ratios included tube feeding (2.59), enhanced working conditions for care workers (I) (2.58), and colostomy/ileostomy care (1.76). Conclusion: To achieve stable management practices for Kantaki, it is important to handle at-home medical needs through the use of skilled care workers, who must be properly trained and ensured stable employment.","PeriodicalId":370734,"journal":{"name":"Asian journal of human services","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116703233","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Patients and Methods: This prospective observational study included 30 Japanese patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer (PS 0–1) who were starting standard first-line chemotherapy. QoL was assessed using the European Organization for Research and Treatment for Cancer Quality of Life Core Questionnaire, version 3.0. Anxiety and depression were measured using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale. Assessments were performed at baseline, 2 weeks, and then monthly during chemotherapy. Results: At baseline, the global health status (GHS) score was low (50/100), and 9 patients (30%) were experiencing significant levels of mental distress. Scores for the GHS, five functional scales (physical, role, emotional, cognitive, and social), nine symptoms (fatigue, nausea and vomiting, pain, dyspnea, insomnia, appetite loss, constipation, diarrhea, and financial difficulties), anxiety and depression generally did not deteriorate during chemotherapy. However, the QoL scores varied during chemotherapy according to the patients’ characteristics. Patients who achieved tumor control tended to have well-controlled QoL scores. A high survival rate was significantly associated with having a high baseline GHS score. Conclusions: Japanese patients with unresectable pancreatic cancer might maintain their QoL during standard chemotherapy, with tumor control being associated with well-controlled QoL. In addition, a high QoL at baseline was associated with a good prognosis.","PeriodicalId":370734,"journal":{"name":"Asian journal of human services","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124672673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the current situation is that it is being promoted without investigation of reliability and validity. The purpose of this study is to verify the reliability, content validity, and construct validity of Shimonoseki city university Lecturer Evaluation Scale (SLES), which is a lecturer evaluation by students. The subjects were 1,286 students in the freshman to senior of economics. SLES is a comprehensive scale can be applied to three types of lectures: face-to-face lecture, simultaneous bidirectional lecture, and on-demand lecture. The reliability was verified using Cronbach’ s α co efficient, and construct validity was verified using structural equation modeling. As a result of the analysis, the reliability was 0.912 for the face-to-face type, 0.930 for the simultaneous bidirectional type, and 0.919 for the on-demand type. In terms of construct validity, a high degree of suitability was shown in all lecture form. This study suggests that SLES can be used effectively with undergraduate students. and on-demand lectures. Further investigation with large samples with larger sample size is recommended.","PeriodicalId":370734,"journal":{"name":"Asian journal of human services","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123933130","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, correlations between verb acquisition and parents’ approaches to their children were analyzed. Participants were parents having children with Down syndrome that had acquired meaningful words (n=27). The “words and grammar” version of the Japanese MacArthur Bates Communicative Development Inventories (JCDls) was administered to examine the parents’ involvement. The results indicated that when the total number of expressed vocabularies exceeded 200, the rate of acquiring verbs increased even in children with Down syndrome, which indicated that “200 words” was an important criterion. Moreover, results suggested that reading and writing letters and numbers as well as teaching children the polite use of language used by parents supported verb acquisition by children with Down syndrome. polite language.” Otomo et al. (2005) examined language development in TD children from early childhood to childhood and suggested “teaching polite language” might provide new perspectives and expression methods to children, which were not previously in the children’s repertory. The results of the present study suggest that parents’ approaches to DS children, i.e., teaching polite language, might increase expressive vocabulary words.","PeriodicalId":370734,"journal":{"name":"Asian journal of human services","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129815056","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Method: Self-administered questionnaires were distributed by mail to the educators responsible for international nursing education (one per university) at 42 nursing departments of national universities. The survey period was from July 1 st to September 30 th 2016. Results: Responses were received from all 20 universities with full-time educators. For the 22 universities without full-time educators, information was collected by phone, email, and from the homepage of their specific university. As a result, information was obtained for all 42 universities. Of these, 85.7% implemented international nursing education and 52.4% have established it as a compulsory subject. In all, there were 61.9% universities with full-time nurses acting as academic advisors. Most of educators considered that “understanding of different cultures,” “world health policies,” and “content relating to international cooperation” were essential contents for education in the future. Discussion: As 52.4% of the universities that were surveyed treated international nursing as a compulsory subject, it is considered that whether or not one receives lectures on international nursing education is largely effected by the system of the university and the choice of the student. Regarding issues in the future, the construction of a curriculum aiming for the development of human resources with the capacity for practical application and rich in internationality is necessary.","PeriodicalId":370734,"journal":{"name":"Asian journal of human services","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130904942","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there are a few concrete teaching programs to improve social skills according to the characteristics of ADHD tendency, and the effectiveness of its teaching programs has not yet been verified. The purpose of this study is to decide on the social skill training program for the children with ADHD tendencies in regular classes. We searched the practical reports on children with ADHD tendencies in foreign countries by using the ERIC-Institute of Education Science thesis database. Among them, 23 papers were related to practical reports. Since there were practices listed in the review paper, a total of 12 cases were analyzed. There were many programs that used rewards, such as token economy, thereby indicating that a program promoting voluntary activities with a reward is believed to be effective for children with ADHD tendencies.","PeriodicalId":370734,"journal":{"name":"Asian journal of human services","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131685473","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
