Approximation expressions for rate coefficients of kinetic processes on the basis of the solutions of Boltzmann equation for electrons in constant electrical field are used. The main chemical species and kinetic processes were taken into account in our simplified kinetic model. The model enables to calculate an electrons, atom and molecule concentrations, specific energy deposition in active medium, and power of generation. The correlation between power of generation and concentration of major chemical species is investigated","PeriodicalId":370622,"journal":{"name":"2006 International Workshop on Laser and Fiber-Optical Networks Modeling","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132958465","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Only when intrinsic pre-pulse of 5 kA is eliminated and proper pre-pulse are adopted, the uniform plasma could be formed and lasing in Ne-like Ar at 46.9 nm are obtained. The plasma columns are pumped by a 28-36 kA current pulse with 80 ns half-cycle duration in a 3.1 mm-diameter and 12 cm-length capillary channels filled with Ar in the region of 20-50 Pa.
