Semistructured interviews were conducted with multiple participant groups (n = 18), including athletes (n = 7), practitioners (n = 6), and researchers (n = 5) across differing disciplines within professional sporting organizations and/or national governing bodies. Combined content and thematic analysis provided an insight into the specific factors influencing current sport nutrition practices. A common theme highlighted among all participant groups was the paradoxical struggle between adequate fueling for training and competition demands, and the fear this may impact body mass and body composition goals. This tension was identified as being rooted within athletes’ perceptions of body image and driven by other participant groups and wider societal ideals. Each participant group also highlighted influences on cravings and approaches to food and dietary supplementation, centered around individual perceptions and challenges driven by symptomology associated with the female menstrual cycle and contraceptive use. To address these challenges, all participant groups called for more research to inform future change and continuing education pathways. In summary, this study contributes to providing a more complete understanding of elite female athlete sport nutrition experiences than currently exists. In a similar vein, women in strength and conditioning (S&C) encounter workplace challenges at all levels. Given the lack of representation of women in S&C, it is important to delve into the potential contributing factors. The aim of this study was to gain a deeper understanding of women’s experiences in S&C. A total of 19 female S&C coaches at the collegiate level participated in our study. Participants were interviewed individually by both investigators via Zoom video calls using a semistructured interview guide. An overwhelming interest in participation among female S&C coaches allowed for interviews to be performed past the stage of saturation. Career experience among participants ranged from 4 to 26 years (M = 12.87 years). Results uncovered five central themes: (a) entrance into the S&C field and navigating a male-dominated culture, (b) appearance and presentation, (c) pressure to hire women, (d) support community and mentorship, and (e) family. Despite the perceived barriers described by these women, all participants stressed the love and passion each has for their career. Exercise physiologists focused their research on understanding basic mechanisms of how the body responds to exercise and how to increase fitness. Most researchers and almost all research participants were male. Over the next two decades, and coinciding with the passage of Title IX, a few remarkable female exercise scientists emerged whose research and leadership had a profound effect on the field and directly influenced girls’ and women’s sports participation. This commentary presents an overview of the contributions and impact of several of these groundbreaking female exercise physiologists, Josephine Rathbone, Barbara Drinkwater, Priscilla Clarkson, Christine Wells, and Emily Haymes. Players were forced to stay at home for an undefined period of time and not allowed to use any training facilities or even exercise outdoors. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the effects of the COVID-19 lockdown on physical performance and body composition in elite female football players. During the confinement period, 19 players (n = 19, M = 27 years; SD = 4.19) volunteered to participate in the present study. Participants were confined during 5 months and performed six remotely guided sessions a week, designed and structured by a certified fitness coach. Pre- and postconfinement period, players were tested for body composition, strength in the squat exercise, vertical jump, 30-m sprint, kicking velocity, and intermittent endurance capacity (Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Level 1). Fat mass and muscle mass remained unaffected after the confinement period, while only body mass showed a significant increase between periods (1.19%; p = .014). In addition, physical performance measures postconfinement showed positive changes in kicking (p < .001; effect size = 1.02), in contrast to a reduction in mean propulsive velocity against 40-kg load and Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Level 1 total distance covered (p: .041 and .010, respectively). Latihan yang dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan kecepatan dan kelincahan adalah latihan acceleration sprints dan in-out sprint. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis tentang: (1) pengaruh latihan acceleration sprints terhadap kecepatan, (2) pengaruh latihan in-out sprint terhadap kecepatan, dan (3) perbedaan besar pengaruh latihan acceleration sprints dan in-out sprint terhadap kecepatan. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa putra semester IV angkatan 2014, Jurusan Pendidikan Jasmani Kesehatan dan Rekreasi, Fakultas Olahraga dan Kesehatan, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha Singaraja dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 36 orang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu.Proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan tes kecepatan(lari sprint 30 meter) pada saat pretest dan posttest. Selanjutnya data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS seri 21.0. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut : (1) latihan acceleration sprints berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kecepatan. (2) latihan in-out sprint berpengaruh signifikan terhadap  peningkatan kecepatan. (3) Tidak terdapat perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan antara latihan acceleration sprints dan latihan in-out sprint terhadap kecepatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran penjas melalui metode latihan mental imagery. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang dilaksanakan selama 4 minggu dengan intensitas pertemuan satu kali dalam seminggu, total ada 8 kali pertemuan, pada bulan Mei – Juni 2021. Sampel didapat melalui total sampling sebanyak 19 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan postest. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS menggunakan uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa latihan mental imagery sangat cocok diterapkan pada siswa karena dengan metode latihan mental imagery motivasi belajar siswa dapat meningkat. Karena dengan program latihan mental imagery siswa dapat mengeluarkan kemampuan terbaik. Siswa dapat membayangkan idolanya dalam menampilkan performa saat proses belajar berlangsung. Kesimpulan bahwa metode latihan mental imagery dapat meningkatkan mental siswa  sehingga siswa dapat mengeluarkan kemampuan terbaiknya. Pada metode Latihan mental imagery terbukti dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Untuk pembinaan keprofesian guru diperlukan pengukuran kompetensi guru PJOK secara berkala. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kompetensi guru PJOK di Bojonegoro. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yakni desciptive study dengan metode survey kadar keguruan guru PJOK untuk mengetahui kompetensi guru. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Guru PJOK di Sekolah SD, SMP,dan SMA di Bojonegoro berjumlah 30 orang menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuisioner kadar keguruan PJOK dengan mengunakan rentang nilai 0%-100% (Suroto, 2016). Kuesioner ini menggunakan skala empat poin tipe Likert (1 = katergori kurang, 2 = kategori biasa, 3 = kategori baik, 4 = kategori hebat). Hasil penelitian kadar keguruan kompetensi guru PJOK secara keseluruhan hasil dari 30 orang sampel penelitian guru PJOK berdasarkan semua tingkatan yang masuk pada kategori kurang dengan skor persentase 23,3%, guru PJOK yang masuk kategori biasa dengan skor persentase 30,0 %, guru PJOK yang masuk kategori baik dengan skor persentase 33,3 % dan guru PJOK yang masuk kategori hebat dengan skor persentase 13,3 %. Metode latihan yang tepat sangat dibutuhkan dalam peningkatan kondisi fisik khususnya daya tahan aerobik sebagai upaya pembinaan dan proses pelatihan. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah membandingkan penerapan metode latihan interval yang ekstensif dan metode latihan interval yang intensif dalam meningkatkan daya tahan aerobik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian menggunakan nonequivalent control grup design. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui daya tahan aerobik mengunakan Tes Multi Tahap (Bleep Test). Subjek yang dijadikan partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 mahasiswa dari salah satu program studi Pendidikan Jasmani Kesehatan dan Rekreasi yang berada di wilayah 3 Jawa Barat dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa: (1) Metode latihan interval yang ekstensif memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan daya tahan aerobik. (2) Metode latihan interval yang intensif memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan daya tahan aerobik. Kurikulum yang sedang diterapkan di Indonesia adalah Kuriukulum 2013. Mata pelajaran yang ada di dalam Kurikulum 2013 adalah Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga dan Kesehatan.  Masalah yang timbul adalah guru belum menerapkan pembelajaran yang memacu keterlibatan aktif siswa, waktu pembelajaran tidak sesuai, sistem penilaian yang diterapkan belum sesuai standar Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran PJOK Kurikulum 2013 di Kabupaten Banyumas Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survey. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu 26 guru dan 828 siswa SMA Sederajat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Pemberlakuan physical distancing mengharuskan untuk mengurangi mobilitas dan menuntut perubahan secara drastis. Mahasiswa yang harus menghentikan proses pembelajaran secara luring menjadi salah satu kelompok yang terkena dampak, baik dari kesehatan fisik dan mental. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan pola aktivitas fisik dan status gizi sebelum dan selama pandemi covid-19 pada mahasiswa olahraga. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian survey. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 117 mahasiswa olahraga bukan atlet profesional mengisi angket penelitian berupa pengukuran antropometri dan aktivitas fisik menggunakan kuesioner IPAQ. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan perhitungan uji beda Mann Whitney. Terdapat penurunan yang signifikan pada aktivitas fisik (p=0.000) dan peningkatan yang signifikan pada status gizi yang dilihat dari nilai IMT (p=0.000). Penurunan aktivitas fisik dan perilaku sedenter yang berkepanjangan meningkatkan akumulasi lemak sehingga dapat berakibat pada peningkatan berat badan dan risiko obesitas. Diperlukan pemahaman tentang penerapan pola aktivitas fisik yang tepat yang dapat dilakukan selama physical distancing dan pemantauan kondisi fisik secara berkala untuk dapat mempertahankan imunitas tubuh.
