It engages in a dialogue with two Simondon-inspired projects: on the one hand, Yuk Hui’s concept of cosmotechnics, and on the other, the transductive theory of systems outlined in the Deleuzoguattarian Thousand Plateaus. A new reading of a marginal thread of the latter, i.e., the universe of technical objects associated with the nomadism of the Great Steppe of the Bronze and Iron Ages, leads to the crystallization of the concept of chaosmotechnics, according to which the substrate of technical activities is the contingency of the cosmos. Answering the question of locality, the chaosmotechnic perspective allows for the untimely emergence of an alternative cosmology of the contemporary digital image from nomadic metal technical objects. The author answers questions about why the grassroots initiative, which has no formal structures or external funding, has lasted so long, and analyzes its structure and mechanisms for effective interaction and cooperation with the local environment. The initiative is embedded in an existing local network, while drawing inspiration from the transnational activist movement. The aim is to highlight selected new literary phenomena related to the awareness of the ecological crisis and to attempt their preliminary characterization. Referring to the notion of parenesis, which is rooted in culture, as well as more recent phenomena from the borderline between literary studies and other disciplines, the author points out the operational capacity of such categories as the eco-regional novel and, above all, the eco-parenetic novel. The expansion of the financial sector is enabled by a credit money mechanism that takes on a fictitious character. As a result, financialization leads to the reproduction of social inequality and the subordination of individual behavior to the logic of financial markets. According to critics of the process, local culture is being destroyed by credit money. In this paper, the author points to the social basis of financialization by demonstrating the ways in which local communities produce money – personalizing it and creating its meaning based on debt relationships. He illustrates the influence of culture on money using the example of microfinance and its criticism. Finally, the author proposes a different perspective on financialization, which – by combining the mutual influence of culture and money – allows for changing the categories of thinking about contemporary sources of locality and the divide between the global and the local.
