Many mobile ad hoc applications depend on the hierarchical structure, and clustering is the most popular method to impose a hierarchical structure in the mobile ad hoc networks. Only is some single factor is considered in most existing clustering algorithms, they have very limited application scenarios. In this paper, we propose a novel weight-based clustering algorithm (WBCA). The proposed clustering algorithm takes the mean connectivity degree and battery power of mobile nodes into consideration. A large number of deployed low-cost devices enhanced with sensors is observing the physical world. That way, real-world data is provided to business and workflow applications fully automated and in real-time without suffering from media-breaks, that means no manual and only few automated transformations of data formats are allowed. Status information like battery status, CPU and memory utilization are to be gathered in order to manage such a device fleet. In this paper a distributed monitoring service architecture to gather the required status data automatically is presented. The architecture is designed with respect to scalability requirements for a heterogeneous landscape mainly consisting of limited and low-powered devices. A prototype has been implemented and evaluated with respect to CPU and memory utilization. This paper proposes an aggressive rectangle truncation (ART) localization algorithm for locating objects in a fading radio signal environment. The paper further presents a location verification mechanism to increase the accuracy and consistency of the estimated object location. Many of the proposed on-demand routing algorithms for MANET assume that the given network is an undirected graph. Some modifications or new algorithms have been proposed to solve the unidirectional link problems. Those methods eliminate unidirectional links from the route computation procedure or cost overhead very much. This paper proposes a new scheme called NMM (neighbor monitoring mechanism) to solve the problems. The paper introduces the NMM mechanism, analyzes its performance and is compared with hello and blacklisting mechanism. One method is pulse width modulation (PWM), the other is changing modulation depth. Using these proposed methods, we can achieve both dimmer i.e. brightness control and wireless communication at the same time. We discussed the relationship between PWM frequency, LED brightness, and communication performance. The results show that we can control brightness from 0% to 87.5% when we use PWM and data transmission possible when PWM frequency is high enough. We replace the warmup interval discussed in [2,11,13] with a shorter and/or simpler simulation interval. We present an implementation of time-parallel simulation, with the compressed history as the warmup method. Such information can lead road users to avoid congested areas as well as to waiting in a better condition for the end of the congestion. In a way, they increase congestion, in another way, they reduce it. Our research aimed at explaining the reasons why some people behave in a way and another one in. We assumed that travel time messages may be interpreted from several points of view, depending on driver knowledges in memory, experience and will, and as a result, the decision taken. SyncML is designed for use between mobile devices that are intermittently connected to the network and network services that are continuously available on the network We've designed and developed the data synchronization system based on the SyncML protocol[1], and evaluate the throughput of the system using SPNP(Stochastic Petri Nets Package), and analyze the relationship between the arrival rate and the system resources. Using this model, we evaluate various performance measures in a different situation, and we estimate relationship between the arrival rate and the system resources. On the other hand, there is little research on facilitating communication between a sink and the user. In a dynamic environment-in terms of node mobility as well as in terms of steadily changing device parameters-the clusterhead election process has to be re-invoked according to a suitable update policy. Cluster re-organization causes additional message exchanges and computational complexity and it execution has to be optimized. Our investigations focus on the problem of minimizing clusterhead re-elections by considering stability criteria. These criteria are based on topological characteristics as well as on device parameters. This paper presents a weighted clustering algorithm optimized to avoid needless clusterhead re- elections for stable clusters in mobile ad-hoc networks.
