Extended Context Free Grammars (ECFG) are suitable for modeling the above test requirements. A tool is built that accepts a test design in the form of an ECFG and generates test data or scripts automatically. With the objective of providing a user-friendly interface for expressing test designs in ECFG, a visual formalism using data-flow graphs is provided by the tool. However, in order to maximize energy production, associate control strategy must manage Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) for each source as efficiently as possible. This paper proposes an original control strategy for a stand-alone photovoltaic-wind HPS with batteries storage, also applicable to grid-connected systems. An individual Multi-Inputs Multi-Outputs (MIMO) controller is applied to each power source. The photovoltaic generator is thus managed by Sliding Mode Control (SMC), including an internal MPPT algorithm, whereas the wind generator employs a Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) state feedback control, designed by Linear Matricial Inequalities (LMI), and combined with a MPPT algorithm. To support Integrated Modular Architecture (IMA) [2] partitioned software architectures, the proposed hypervisor adapted to the aerospace application domain the Popek and Goldberg's [3] fidelity, efficiency and resource control virtualization requirements, and extends them with additional ones like timing determinism, reactivity and improved dependability. A distinctive feature of this hypervisor is its I/O device virtualization approach that guarantees real-time performance and small trusted computing base. The underlying class is the Input-Output Place-Transition Petri net (IOPT-nets) class extended with asynchronous channels and time domains. IOPT-nets benefits from an existing tool chain framework, which supports the development of automation and embedded systems, from the specification to implementation (through automatic code generation) in hardware and software platforms. The tool presented in this paper extends the existing tool chain framework, to support the verification of GALS systems. With the generated state space is possible to check the properties of each component of the GALS system and their interactions, allowing the verification of behavioral proprieties of the entire GALS system. The Petri net model of the GALS system is represented in PNML format and translated into a C program, assuring a good execution performance of the tool, even when handling large models (due to the compilation approach). Main advantage of type-III control loops (compared to type-I,~II) is their ability to track fast reference signals since they eliminate higher order errors at steady state (zero steady state position, velocity and acceleration error.) Type-III control loops are characterized by the presence of three pure integrators in the open loop transfer function. The proposed PID control law consists of analytical expressions that can be applied to process models consisting of n poles plus time delay d. The application of the the proposed control law to a large class of processes (model with known transfer function) shows that regardless of the process complexity, the overshoot of the step response of the final closed-loop control system exhibits a certain level. This feature results effortlessly to the automatic tuning of the PID controller's parameters since by exploiting the analytical expressions of the proposed PID control law, controller parameters are tuned such, so that the step response of the control loop exhibits the specific overshoot. For applying the proposed method, an open loop experiment of the process is necessary for starting up the algorithm. The proposed tuning technique assumes that access to the states is impossible as it frequently happens in many industry applications. One of the most significant applications is health monitoring. This paper is aiming to propose a fuzzy logic system based on multi-sensor vital and environmental data, in order to detect distress situations. Also, a data accuracy fuzzy system is presented in order to estimate the network confidence. Both systems have been evaluated in order to demonstrate their validity and usefulness. The outputs of the aforementioned systems are associated so as to trigger the optimal acting tasks. The design makes possible the selection of the PI controllers' gains in a manner that is more independent from the system parameters. To this end, a system and controller analysis is conducted that results in the determination of an effective time constant for the closed-loop system. It is proven that this variable time constant results from the response of an arbitrarily selected lead or lag transfer function. This enables to select an arbitrary integrator gain that leads in an initial time constant which is corrected by the selection of suitable proportional gain values. For a given integrator gain, small enough proportional gain values lead to slower responses while large enough proportional gain values lead to faster responses. The proposed algorithm removes the necessity of coding for two steps - Run Before and Total Zeros from the conventional CAVLC and thereby making it capable of achieving higher bit compression than the conventional one.
