{"title":"THE ADMISSION OF ALBANIA TO THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS","authors":"Armend Mehmeti","doi":"10.58885/ijllis.v12i12.41am","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.58885/ijllis.v12i12.41am","url":null,"abstract":"The aim of this research is to bring to the public one of the most significant moments in the history of modern Albania. At the end of World War I the winning powers (Entente Allies) had to set up a new world order. For this purpose a Peace Conference was convened in Paris in January 1919. But, Albania was not included in new European projects, since its independence and territorial integrity was not respected. At the same time a new international organization – League of Nations – emerged. The League of Nations was an international organization whose mission was to maintain peace and collective security around the world. Therefore, the Albanian political elite viewed admission to the League as their best hope to preserve Albania. Albania's request for admission was rejected on the ground that the political and legal status of Albania had to be confirmed. In the meantime, news about the discovery of oil resources in Albania attracted the attention of British diplomacy. In exchange for granting a concession for oil exploration and exploitation to a British company, the British government facilitated Albania's admission to the League of Nations. The paper “The Admission of Albania to the League of Nations” aims to elaborate on the circumstances that led to the rejection and then the admission of Albania to the League of Nations, to argue that economic and strategic factors and interests are the main determinants of international policies. Albania’s membership in the League was of critical importance for political affirmation, preservation of its independence and territorial integrity. The perspective used in this paper is based on a comparative and chronological approach. Furthermore, after an in-depth analytical approach to the use of podcasting in language learning, it aims to unveil some of the main students’ cognitive activities, related to the podcast content and facts, as seen from the object performance perspective, which helps them recall the previous empirical knowledge content and facts by linking them to those conveyed by the podcasting content. Such an analysis between the two types of processed content results in a strong impact on structuring ‘a new blended knowledge with the students’ in both oral and written language productivity. Furthermore, it highlights the contributions of Arab scholars in interpreting Islamic texts and the emergence of linguistics as a distinct field in the 19th century, particularly through the works of Wilhelm von Humboldt and Jacob Grimm. Additionally, the research will delve into establishing a typology of translation strategies in Albania. Building upon the pioneering efforts of the researchers in previous work, which involved the translation of English and Albanian texts using linguistic, stylistic, and semantic techniques, this study also pays meticulous attention to the intricate relationship between the translation process and its resulting product. By focusing on the development of comparable corpora, this research presents a valuable opportunity to enhance both the theory and practice of utilizing bilingual corpora in the context of translation teaching, learning, and research. The outcomes of this research endeavor will provide the foundational framework for the future formulation of a streamlined pedagogical typology specifically addressing the use of comparable corpora in teaching and learning translation strategies in the English-Albanian context. This typology, once developed, will further serve as the basis for generating a series of project concepts with the overarching goal of establishing cooperative agreements. Modern political leaders often use elements of traditional IR theory when articulating solutions to national and international security dilemmas. But these solutions then translate into modern policies capturing courses of action for accomplishing national objectives with varying strategic implications. It appears that policies of today convert into acts aiming at strengthening power and influence, via corporations and military means. The movie not only focuses on Jammu and Kashmir but also presents an ingenious point of view that connects us with the real drawbacks of human society. Hamlet is not only about revenge; it is about the theme of the disappearance of King Hamlet, where Prince Hamlet is pretending to be insane to trap his uncle. It is also about the corruption that prevailed in Denmark and the sufferings that the women had to go through. The plot of Denmark is replaced in Haider by the plot of the Kashmir conflict in 1995 and enforced civil disappearances. While factors such as diabetes, sedentariness, psychostress, genetic predisposition, hypertension, smoking, and hyperlipidemia are well-known in the etiology of atherosclerosis (Ath) of coronary arteries. Recent studies have also identified high concentrations of lipoproteins (a) [Lp(a)] as a risk factor. In fact, high concentrations of Lp(a) above 30mg/dl (reference value-30mg/dl) have been found to be a risk factor for Ath, leading experts to develop medications aimed at reducing Lp(a) concentrations and preventing atherosclerotic manifestations. The European Atherosclerosis Society has also released clinical guidelines for testing and treating high concentrations of Lp(a) as part of the global assessment of cardiovascular risk.THE GOAL OF THE STUDY: The goal of this study is to investigate the concentration of Lp(a) in patients with coronary disease and its connection to the presentation of atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries in patients with CVD compared to a control group of healthy individuals. Through this study, we hope to gain a better understanding of the role of Lp(a) in CVD and its potential as a target for prevention and treatment. By identifying and addressing risk factors like high Lp(a) concentrations, we can work towards reducing the global burden of CVD and improving health outcomes for individuals around the world.THE AIM OF THE STUDY: The aim of this study is to determine the concentration of lipoprotein(a) in patients with coronary disease, its connectivity and role in the presentation of atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries in patients with CVD compared to the control group of healthy individuals.MATERIAL AND METHODS: As working material, the blood taken from the vein of patients with coronary disease was used - N0=80, (with an identical average age of 55.70±6.00 years old, of which 35 were female while 45 were male. In the study, there was also a control group: N0=80 healthy volunteers (45 were male and 35 female) with the same age as the patients. Blood for analysis was taken at 8 o'clock in the morning, at room temperature of 19-24°C, every three months in a period of 12 months.Echocardiography and EKG were also performed on all the patients with Toshiba SSH-140A machine, color Doppler probe 3.7Hz, sectorial type, taking into account as key parameters the thickness of the back wall of the left ventricle and the thickness of-Left ventricular internal diameter end diastole (LVPVd) and interventricular septal end diastole (IVSd>12 mm). Together with the examination of Lp(a) concentrations, the lipid profile was also analyzed. In particular, opinions were expressed about the period of active development of short stories, their development and their importance today. Also, scientific conclusions are given about the fact that short stories in Khorezm entered the stage of growth at the beginning of the XIX century, that Andalib was the creator of this growth, and that he created several works in the style of folk epics mixed with prose and poetry for the first time. After that, the tradition of copying folk epics in the form of short stories was further developed, short stories became popular in the middle of the XIX century, an example of which is the collection of short stories by H.Vamberi with Mulla Ishaq, short story writers worked specially in the Khan's palaces, in the audience of intellectuals.
