Many scholars used the topic model to analyze the theme development, such as LDA. However, these methods need a pre-specified number of latent topics and manual topic labeling, which is usually difficult for people. Aiming to this problem, this paper proposes a method to analyze theme development with topic clustering. Different from the existing works, this paper uses the sliding window to cluster topics extracted in different time incrementally, the topic distance can be measured with KL-divergence. Optical transmission using POF has received much attention due to its low weight, large core diameter, flexibility, and easy install, specially its high bandwidth make POF a very attractive candidate for transmission media in transimition network based on OCDMA technology. In conventional OCDMA system only allows finite units to transmit and access simultaneously according to the number of channels which be restricted by BER. To resolve this problem, a novel protocol based on slotted ALOHA is proposed in this paper. By using the reservation scheme and a distributed arbitration algorithm, channel collision and destination conflict can be avoided. The protocol can efficiently support the transmission of multimedia messages that require the different time-delay. The network throughput and average delay has been investigated by numerical analysis and simulation experiments. It is showed that the multipriority reservation protocol in this POF network is valid and efficient.","PeriodicalId":364568,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Advanced Computer Theory and Engineering","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131901961","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A permission is a linear value associated with some piece of state in a program and \"fractions'' are used to distinguish reads from writes, with which we are able to check interference among parallel threads. In order to detect race conditions and deadlocks in a multithreaded program, we transform expressions and statements into action traces, then permission check all possible interleavings among traces in parallel. We show the operational semantics as well as some selected permission type rules.","PeriodicalId":364568,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Advanced Computer Theory and Engineering","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127797277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The solution is obtained using the method of separation of variables. Using the solutions obtained, some diagrams are prepared and the relevant consolidation behavior of soil with vertical and horizontal drainage under time-loadings is discussed. For nonlinear material properties, average degree of consolidation can be defined either in terms of settlement or in terms of effective stress. And consolidation will be slower when compared to the cases with constant material properties. And the difference depends on the external loading pressure Nsigma, and the construction time Tvc.","PeriodicalId":364568,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Advanced Computer Theory and Engineering","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127905439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) Detection Technology is widely used to detect the defects of various pipelines. Because the environment where well casing is laid in is usually very complicated, the system which based on magnetic flux leakage technology is not mature yet to detect well casing defects. The method of defects detection with RBF neural network based on Gaussian kernel is studied, by which parameters of well casing defects can be recognized. The training data samples were gathered from both the simulated data sets for 3-D finite element model and measured MFL data. Detection system suitable to casing inspection is established. The experiment result indicates that the system can detect the defect and identify its parameters effectively.","PeriodicalId":364568,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Advanced Computer Theory and Engineering","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127986657","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The population included undergraduate and post graduate (except PhD.) students in Ferdowsi (to examine the SIM OPAC) and Shiraz (to examine the PAZ OPAC) universities. Data gathered by a questionnaire from 380 persons of whom 275 (145 of 200 from Ferdowsi and 130 of 180 from Shiraz Universities) returned the questionnaire. Findings showed understanding rate of interface vocabulary was %35.1 for SIM OPAC and %33.9 for PAZ one. Any significant difference was not observed in readability of interface vocabulary between various degree students. Understanding rate of vocabulary used in SIM OPAC interface did not show any significant difference with the same rate in PAZ OPAC. In SIM OPAC and PAZ, a significant difference was observed between vocabulary readability of first page and other pages (for other pages). The impact of users' experience in SIM and PAZ OPACs on their understanding rate of interface vocabulary did not show any significant difference among correct answers obtained from students of different school years. The impact of study areas (humanities, basic sciences and engineering) on vocabulary readability of SIM and PAZ OPACs was examined and results showed a significant difference between means gained from respondents' scores of the three areas in Ferdowsi University (SIM OPAC). In Shiraz University, that impact was not significant. This study was limited to a certain population in two Iranian universities that cannot be easily considered as an representative of the heterogeneous population of academic environments. In addition, the data collected was based on a researcher made questionnaire rather than a standardized one. Most studies in this area are dealing with user satisfaction and emphasize on how much OPAC interfaces satisfy users. However, this paper addresses an aspect of them that has received little attention up to now. The paper explores users' comprehension of OPAC vocabulary, and the elements that affect it.","PeriodicalId":364568,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Advanced Computer Theory and Engineering","volume":"121 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121295555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These errors can be categorized into two domains, technical flight skill errors and non technical flight skill errors. This paper summarizes two intelligent agent paradigms, being developed by the KES/AERO research group, that operate within both the technical and non technical flight skill domains. The first paradigm describes three intelligent agents, two situated in the cockpit and one situated at the aerodrome, which function as a team. The second paradigm describes a single intelligent agent which functions in the education and training domain where inappropriate, and potentially unsafe, flight skills are first learned. These intelligent agents are designed to operate as either improvements to flight deck automation or additional flight crew.","PeriodicalId":364568,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Advanced Computer Theory and Engineering","volume":"33 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129193227","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
