We used a quantitative, descriptive, and correlational research approach to scientific production to carry out the analysis, which involved extracting 7,937 articles from the Web of Science and distributing them into three search equations. Using SciMAT v1.1.04 software, we processed the data and conducted a descriptive analysis of scientific production, enabling the creation of maps highlighting scientists with the most and least researched topics. The analysis of published articles, author performance, most productive journals, and most cited articles provided a detailed view of the dominant trends and approaches in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and business. The analysis showed that there is a significant evolution in the scholarly output, with themes such as \"Value Creation\", \"Artificial Intelligence\", \"Business Intelligence\", \"E-Commerce\", \"Decision Making\" and \"Management\" emerging as central in different periods, indicating their continued importance. Additionally, we note the inclusion of emerging themes like 'Customer Experience', 'Chatbots', 'Internet of Things', and 'Machine Learning', which reflect the dynamics and evolution of research concerns over time.  The results of the analysis have significant implications for business policy and strategy formulation. Understanding emerging trends can help organizations make informed decisions and proactively adapt to changes in the artificial intelligence and sustainability landscape.","PeriodicalId":36430,"journal":{"name":"Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology","volume":"121 44","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141821017","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An electronic questionnaire containing five questions was distributed to the academic groups that received the lesson using augmented virtual reality (Metaverse). The aim of the questions was to evaluate their experience, and after they answered the questions, the answers were analyzed in the form of percentages and frequencies. The study sample consisted of (97) students from Al-Ain University enrolled in the programs of (special education, nutrition, and applied sociology), to whom the experiment was applied using augmented virtual reality in teaching during their academic course. The results revealed that (83%) of the respondents reported that the augmented virtual reality contributed to understanding the concepts of the lesson well, (79%) felt enjoyment in using this technique, (75%) suggested that the technique enhanced their involvement in the content well, (68%) suggested that augmented virtual reality could be a useful educational instrument in the future, and (77%) confirmed that the lesson's objectives were achieved by using metaverse technique in teaching. However, several challenges were faced by students, including the used language (only English) and the negative effects of bad quality of used glasses. Based on the findings, the study recommended addressing several key areas for optimizing the use of augmented virtual reality (AVR) in teaching. For example, diversifying language options for AVR content is crucial to accommodating the linguistic diversity among students, thereby enhancing accessibility and comprehension. Additionally, we should invest in high-quality equipment and implement regular maintenance protocols to enhance the quality of equipment, specifically addressing issues related to the negative effects of subpar AVR hardware. ","PeriodicalId":36430,"journal":{"name":"Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology","volume":"122 51","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141822153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study was carried out at the Agrarian Experimental Station Illpa (AESI) of the National Institute of Agrarian Innovation (NIAI) in Puno at 3824 meters above sea level. 120 guinea pigs were used (females n = 60 and males n = 60) with an average age of 22 days. The morphometric characteristics evaluated were: body weight (BW), chest circumference (CC), abdominal perimeter (AP), neck perimeter (NP), head length (HL) and head width (HW). To evaluate the effect of sex on morphometric characteristics, a completely randomized design was used. To determine the equation that best predicts body weight, stepwise regression was used, and correlations between morphometric characteristics were obtained using Pearson's correlation. The results show that the sex factor does not significantly influence BW, CC, AP, NP, HL, and HW (p≥0.05); likewise, the equation that best predicts the body weight of the guinea pigs was: BW = -530.50 + 21.98(CC) + 12.72(AP) + 10.16(NP) + 57.23(HW), with R2 = 84%. Pearson correlations between morphometric characteristics were of high magnitude, positive, and statistically significant (p<0.001). It is concluded that in conditions of the Peruvian highlands, the sex factor does not influence the morphometric characteristics. It is also possible to predict body weight from CC, AP, NP, and HW, and the correlations were high and positive.","PeriodicalId":36430,"journal":{"name":"Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology","volume":"11 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141822434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sustainability is recognized as one of the most significant concepts for all nations and organizations worldwide. The Japanese government, its corporations, and its culture are not exempt from delivering their nation's sustainability goal with the utmost support. Their initiatives taken towards sustainability include introducing Society 5.0, the 'improved society' concept Japan has contemplated before the rest of the world. Society 5.0 for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which originated in Japan, is an aspiring concept that views changes and challenges as opportunities and proceeds to associate them with medium-to long-term development, which leads to the resolution of global challenges. Financial performance focuses on accounting performance through the Return on Equity (ROE). The ESG scores and financial data of 351 listed companies in Japan from 2018 to 2022 were collected from the Thomson Reuters Eikon data stream to study its impact. The regression analysis shows that all environmental performance (EP), social performance (SP), and governance performance (GP) positively and significantly affect profitability, or the Return of Equity (ROE). Meanwhile, the control variable, firm size (SIZE), does not support the study. The findings also found that all ESG performances positively correlate with each other. These results highlight the importance of ESG policy adoption by companies to improve their financial performance. The study’s contributions add value to Japan’s industry practitioners and stakeholders and highlight the importance of ESG to their nation.","PeriodicalId":36430,"journal":{"name":"Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology","volume":"10 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141018151","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study utilized a quantitative-causal research methodology to gather data from a sample of 420 Culinary (SMEs) that had been operating for a minimum of 5 years. The acquired data was then subjected to analysis using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate significant potential for market orientation and entrepreneurship to bolster dynamic capabilities and subsequently enhance SME performance. Furthermore, the study found that dynamic capabilities positively influence SME performance. Importantly, the study identifies an indirect pathway through which market orientation and entrepreneurship can augment SME performance by leveraging dynamic capabilities as a mediator. Practical implications emphasize the critical importance for Culinary SMEs to cultivate robust market orientation, harness entrepreneurial potential for strategic risk-taking and innovation, and fortify dynamic capabilities. Strengthening these facets enables SMEs to effectively translate market insights into actionable strategies, thereby fostering sustainable growth in a competitive business landscape. In essence, this research provides valuable insights into the interplay of market orientation, entrepreneurship, dynamic capabilities, and SME performance, offering actionable guidance for Culinary SMEs in West Java Province and beyond to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities for sustainable development and competitiveness.","PeriodicalId":36430,"journal":{"name":"Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology","volume":"21 18","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140674940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

State-owned enterprises (SOEs) are often criticized for underperformance and political manipulation, raising doubts about the efficiency of implemented corporate governance mechanisms. Additionally, this research examines the moderating role of board diversity on the relationship between good corporate governance (GCG) and performance. This study adopted a quantitative method to analyze secondary data from SOE’s financial statements from 2012 to 2019. The key independent variable is the GCG score, while return on assets is the dependent variable. The regression model incorporates managerial diversion variables and control variables. Surprisingly, the results found that corporate governance practices adversely affect the performance of Indonesian SOEs, particularly when board members have political affiliations. Institutional theory explains the negative relationship between the implementation of GCG and the performance of state-owned companies from coercive and mimetic perspectives. The phenomenon often happens in a developing country when a new system is adopted without fully understanding its mission. Additionally, the significant role of the Board of Commissioners' political connection as a moderating variable supports the conjecture of the managerial diversion perspective. This research contributes empirical insights for SOE stakeholders about corporate governance implementation and the performance of Indonesia's SOEs from the perspective of an emerging economy. The paper contributes novel views to agency and institutional theory for developing countries.","PeriodicalId":36430,"journal":{"name":"Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology","volume":"54 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140742947","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Disability empathy is an important competency for pre-service teachers who teach children with disabilities. The subjects of this study were 49 university students who were completing a qualification course for pre-service teachers who teach children with disabilities. First, through theoretical learning, interest and understanding of disabled infants and toddlers were raised, and educational program production activities were carried out to increase understanding of disabilities.  Project-based cooperative learning was conducted for a total of 30 hours over 15 weeks. As a result of the study, it was found that the disability empathy of pre-service early childhood teachers significantly increased after the implementation of project-based cooperative learning, and the active interaction item score was the highest in the class satisfaction area. As a result, it was found that project-based cooperative learning has a significant effect on pre-service early childhood teachers' disability empathy and promotes active interaction. The significance of this study is that it empirically verified the effect of project-based cooperative learning on preservice teachers’ disability empathy. It is hoped that the results of this study will be used as teacher education materials to improve pre-service teachers’ disability empathy.","PeriodicalId":36430,"journal":{"name":"Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140262110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
