We show through analytical results that it can not only fast localize an inter-domain link failure between different domains but also localize an intra-domain link failure that affects inter-domain traffic faster than any localization protocol known in the literature.","PeriodicalId":364233,"journal":{"name":"2012 Seventh International Conference on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115531053","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Today's \"multi-X\" world requires new analysis tools revealing a wide range of perspectives -- static and dynamic, detailed and abstract. Our goal is to design tools to support low-level program comprehension tasks ranging from malware analysis to mainframe code-base evolution. This paper presents the design and implementation of a prototype Integrated Comprehension Environment (ICE) with multiple analysis plugins designed to provide reverse engineers with the perspectives they need to analyze today's software. Leveraging the simplicity of the Reverse Engineering Intermediate Language (REIL), this prototype provides plug in modules designed to correlate low-level and high-level perspectives of both static and dynamic information. Our goal is to determine if this generalized design may in fact enable tool sets to be unhinged from specific instruction sets, permitting the same analysis modules to be applied to code bases made for drastically different architectures, such as x86 versus HLASM.","PeriodicalId":364233,"journal":{"name":"2012 Seventh International Conference on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115868025","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents an adaptation to a parallel computer architecture based on estimation of distribution and genetic algorithms (EDAs and GAs) hybridization. In this master-slave topology, the master selects portions of the search space, and slaves perform, in parallel and independently, a GA that solves the problem on the portion of the search space they have been assigned. The master's work is divided into 4 phases which progressively narrow the areas explored by the slave's GAs, using parallel dynamic K-means clustering to determine the basins of attraction of the search space.. The improvement of solution quality and comparative reduction in computation time reveal the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":364233,"journal":{"name":"2012 Seventh International Conference on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128033560","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One particular aspect of these social networks widely discussed in the news and heavily researched in academic circles is the privacy of their users. In this paper we introduce six new privacy leaks in Facebook and Twitter. First, we reveal how an attacker can map users email addresses to their real names using Facebook's account recovery service. This mapping helps an attacker accumulate more information about the holder of an email address which could then be used to launch targeted spam attacks. Second, we introduce how an attacker can reconstruct the friend list of a victim on Facebook, even though that user's privacy setting does not allow the attacker to explicitly view the victim's friend list. Third, we show the additional privacy leaks due to the introduction of Facebook's Timeline. Fourth, we show how the unprecedented connectivity offered by social plugins breaches a user's privacy. Fifth, we introduce the social network relay attacks. Sixth, we show how an attacker can permanently withhold a victim's Facebook account after the first take over. Moreover, we propose solutions for each of these privacy leaks.","PeriodicalId":364233,"journal":{"name":"2012 Seventh International Conference on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132874171","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The framework permits comparison, evaluation and improvement of competing and complementary models. Our proposal focuses on the computationally intensive tasks associated with near-field parallelism to process environmental conditions in real-time to deliver informed warnings to populations at risk. By keeping a human-in-the-loop, we include new services that support crowd-sourcing within the framework, allowing integration of sensor data with media-rich voluntary participant input. Monte Carlo simulations of relevant ocean models highlight necessary precursors and likelihoods of potential threats. This naturally leads to the division of the game world into many partitions, each controlled by a single server. To provide players with the illusion of a single large world, some MMO systems divide their game world across servers and synchronize all nearby activity between them. To accomplish and synchronize player movement and interaction between servers, a system of inter-server locks are employed. These locks introduce considerable software complexity and network traffic overhead. We discuss the practical problems of such locking systems, and present an alternate approach. A lockless middleware design is described which implements sequential consistency using inter-server remote writes. This approach provides consistency across all clients and servers, allowing for seamless movement of clients within an arbitrarily large game world. We compare the lockless architecture to the traditional locking design, and analyze its performance.","PeriodicalId":364233,"journal":{"name":"2012 Seventh International Conference on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing","volume":"168 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131960644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Alternatives to overcome these issues on a specific opportunistic infrastructure, called UnaCloud, are presented. We designed and implemented a UnaCloud extension to allow automatic recovery of the execution of MPI applications. This extension will provide new opportunities for research groups, allowing researchers to run MPI applications with a minimum overhead and at a low cost. We tested our implementation running a large application for several hours: Gromacs MPI, a molecular dynamic application that uses MPI to predict and redefine the tertiary structure of a particular protein. Our results show that running such an application is indeed possible, even if the underlying infrastructure exhibits high volatility. This provides a setting to introduce UnaCloud as an opportunistic platform that can be used to run Bag of Tasks (BoT) and MPI applications.","PeriodicalId":364233,"journal":{"name":"2012 Seventh International Conference on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129913242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the various characteristics of distributed systems as well as system's and application's requirements, a variety of data replication techniques have been proposed in the distributed computing field. One important distributed computing paradigm is that of P2P systems, which distinguish for their large scale and unreliable nature. The study and application of replication techniques becomes a must in such systems. While it is well understood and easy to achieve replication of immutable information (typically files) in P2P systems, it becomes more challenging to implement data replication techniques of dynamic data under highly dynamic nature of large P2P systems. Indeed, replicating documents that could change over time requires addressing the consistency issues. In this paper we study some data replication techniques for P2P collaborative systems. We identify several contexts and use cases where data replication can greatly support collaboration. We then consider as a case study replication techniques for dynamic documents in the context of a peer-group based P2P system of super-peer architecture. P2P collaborative systems arise in many groupware applications, such as collaborative work in online teams, having requirements for high availability and system reliability (e.g. in disaster management scenarios). We propose a replication system for documents structured as XML files to address the dynamics of the documents at peers and use the super-peer to ensure a satisfactory level of document consistency among peers.","PeriodicalId":364233,"journal":{"name":"2012 Seventh International Conference on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132791034","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is primarily due to the lack of domain knowledge, as a client would have to understand and visualize the arrangements of a garden and this may also be a haphazard process of landscape architects trying to express the idea using an existing software solutions which delivers a two dimensional view of the garden design. Thus, all of these issues are of utmost importance to be addressed since the process is very time consuming and expensive. This paper analyses numerous approaches to landscape designing CAD designing tools and critically evaluating research carried out on 2D and 3D based CAD designing tools. for the purpose of this study, few interior designing tools/approaches also have been critically evaluated.
