The extensive use of digital technology and the internet in recent years has significantly changed how people read, write, and create literature. This has significantly affected the propensity for English literature. People can now easily access a huge amount of English-language literature from all around the world thanks to digital literacy. Additionally, the availability of internet resources, like e-books and audiobooks, has increased the accessibility of literature to a larger audience. Additionally, digital platforms where readers may exchange and discuss their passion for English literature have also been made possible thanks to digital literacy. Connecting with people who have similar literary interests has become simpler thanks to social media networks like Goodreads, for instance. Overall, by making English literature more accessible and enabling the development of reader communities, digital literacy has had a significant impact on the propensity toward it. This impact will probably only get stronger in the future as digital literacy develops even further.","PeriodicalId":36407,"journal":{"name":"Turkish Online Journal of Qualitative Inquiry","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48791728","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Stories set in the present that don't contain fantasy elements are considered contemporary fiction. Contemporary fiction aims to give readers a glimpse into a particular aspect of everyday life and what it's like to stand in someone else's shoes. Language analysis looks at strategies authors employ, including figures of speech, literary devices, choice of words, the structure of sentences, register, or tone, to convey meaning. Linguistic elements such as discourse, vocabulary, grammar, and syntax, are examined. To further comprehend how language shapes literature and interpretation, this research seeks to highlight stylistic and functional elements of language in contemporary English fiction. The study can contribute to literary studies, linguistics, and language education, and guide the recommendation of reading materials for language learners and language education programs.","PeriodicalId":36407,"journal":{"name":"Turkish Online Journal of Qualitative Inquiry","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44726340","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
{"title":"The Concept of the Anti-Hero in Modern Literature: An Analytical Study","authors":"","doi":"10.52783/tojqi.v11i3.10008","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.52783/tojqi.v11i3.10008","url":null,"abstract":"In contemporary India, the idea of the anti-hero has become a well-liked literary and cinematic cliche. Characters that embody flawed, complex, and frequently conflicting attributes are considered anti-heroes. They lack standard heroic traits like selflessness, morality, and nobility. With its more complex depiction of human nature, this archetype challenges conventional ideas of morality and heroism. The modernization of India's social and cultural scene is responsible for the anti-hero's rise. The notion of the ideal hero has lost some of its appeal because of globalization and the emergence of a more individualistic society. The way that Indian characters are portrayed in literature and film has also changed because of increased exposure to Western media. In contemporary Indian literature and film, the anti-hero is frequently portrayed as an outsider, a rebel, or a victim of circumstance. These characters are approachable and human since they frequently battle their inner demons and societal standards. In general, the idea of the anti-hero in contemporary India differs from the classic heroic archetype and provides a more accurated representation of human behaviour.","PeriodicalId":36407,"journal":{"name":"Turkish Online Journal of Qualitative Inquiry","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46887626","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are two examples of the cutting-edge technology that, only a few years ago, were considered science fiction. However, they are now an essential component of everyday life. The distinction between augmented reality & virtual reality is the one that causes the most misunderstanding in the world. While Virtual Reality is entirely immersive, augmented realities is a synthetic, computer-simulated reality or reproduction of a real-time setting that allows a user to interact with the reproduced actual settings. Optical head-mounted displays (OHMDs), which combine virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR), are close to becoming common gear that consumers may purchase and use to do 3D tasks. Front-facing cameras are a feature of certain OHMDs that enable augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) capability. Seeing the actual world may alter interaction with virtual items in addition to preventing collisions with the surroundings. It is unknown if virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) provides any advantages over one another for almost all jobs.","PeriodicalId":36407,"journal":{"name":"Turkish Online Journal of Qualitative Inquiry","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71002756","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
