The results show that the distributions of the number and of the volume of transactions can be characterized as Ushaped and the distribution of the mean per transaction as three-peaked. However, there are important differences when it comes to the comparison of the different market states and the differentiation between sell and buy transactions. Moreover, this study detects stylized facts about the market regarding the number of trades and the volume during the day. Sell transactions are higher in each market state. This highlights the fact that this market is used widely to deposit excessive liquidity in all intervals during the day. Furthermore, differences within these variables during different market states can be observed, which highlights the importance of this analysis. This study can strengthen our understanding of the interbank credit market as it is important for policy makers and the daily trading strategies of banks. Additionally, implications can be seen as the basis for further empirical and econometric research.","PeriodicalId":363851,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Research","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133285870","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data was collected from key informants who were either the marketing manager or the Chief Executive Officer of the firms. The theoretical foundation of the study was based on the Market Based View which provided theoretical perspectives on how external environmental factors including competitive rivalry in the industry can influence firm performance. The study was cross-sectional in nature and it targeted 39 firms that were members of the Kenya Security Industry Association (KSIA). A census was done because the population was relatively small. A total of 37 firms participated in the study and this translated to a 95% response rate. Data was collected from the respondents using a structured questionnaire whose measurement scales met all the requirements of reliability and validity tests. Descriptive statistics were used to gain a good understanding of the respondent and firm characteristics. Simple linear regression was used to establish the effect of competitive intensity on firm performance. Results of the regression analysis indicated that competitive intensity had a positive and significant effect on non-financial performance of private security firms. The study concluded based on the results of the regression analysis that competitive intensity has a positive and significant effect on the non-financial performance of private security firms in Kenya. It recommended that the management of private security firms and other firms operating in industries where the industry rivalry is high should be proactive and adopt a competitor orientation in their firms by monitoring the strengths and weaknesses of competitors and anticipating competitor actions that may affect the firm. However, the study also recommended that the firms should not be too competitor oriented otherwise they may lose their focus on customer needs and this may be detrimental to firm performance. Future studies should investigate the influence of government regulation on the relationship between competitive intensity and firm performance. This study was quantitative in nature and future studies should consider using qualitative approaches to data collection and analysis to establish if the findings will be similar.","PeriodicalId":363851,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Research","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134277023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article aims to propose airport terminal operations in a pandemic situation at Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport based on the views of passengers. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Primary research data was collected through in-depth interviews with 27 passengers at Hasanuddin Airport with various destination destinations classified using Atlas it software l; and secondary data collected through literature study. Airport redesign during a pandemic refers to Brownrigg (2020). The data analysis technique uses four stages of qualitative data analysis techniques, namely data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that: (1) Airport facilities are still inadequate. (2) Compared to other international airports in Indonesia, Hasanuddin Airport still lacks facilities and services. (3) The sense of security at the new airport is minimal. (4) Passenger satisfaction is still in the unsatisfied category. (5) Facilities needed during a pandemic are still relatively lacking. (6) Airport technology facilities are still relatively underdeveloped because most services are carried out manually or with old technology. (7) Facilities during a pandemic need to be permanent. (8) Airport human resources need to improve their professionalism to be more capable of running the latest airport technology.","PeriodicalId":363851,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Research","volume":"154 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115547527","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data WAS collected using a questionnaire distributed through Google forms. Descriptive analysis and multiple regression were carried out. The results show that entrepreneurship education does not have a big influence on students’ interest in entrepreneurship. However, family support, social support and personality have significant effects on students’ entrepreneurship interest. Personality is the strongest influencing factor. There is a significant difference between Indonesian and Malaysian students as to entrepreneurship intention. The most significant difference lies in the personality of students. This implies that entrepreneurship education in higher education institutions should emphasize developing personality for entrepreneurship.","PeriodicalId":363851,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Research","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116543164","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to analyze the technical efficiency of tea farms in Thainguyen province and subsequently to identify the key factors affecting their technical efficiency. The data envelopment analysis (DEA) method was first used to compute the technical efficiency levels. Tobit model was then used to determine factors affecting the inefficiency level of tea farms in the study area. The data of 50 farmers were collected by interview technique. The findings investigated that the average technical efficiency of tea farms was 0.73, implying that tea farms could increase their efficiency level by using inputs more efficient. The results of the Tobit regression model in the second stage revealed that factors related to age, education, and experiences had a significant positive influence on the technical efficiency of tea farms, therefore, to improve the efficiency of tea farms, the government should address policies to encourage tea farms to attain more education through extension system and training and technological transfers activities to help tea farms in adopting high technology in production to improve their efficiency level.","PeriodicalId":363851,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Research","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122092149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, economic development has made competition increasingly fierce in the world of trade, which operates in various sectors, for example in consumer noncyclicals companies. This study aims to examine the effect of profitability, intangible assets, leverage on dividend policy and corporate value of main board index companies in the consumer non-cyclicals sector on the Indonesian stock exchange during the 2017-2021 period. Profitability is measured by return on assets (ROA), intangible assets are measured by the logarithm of the book value of intangible assets (IAS), leverage is measured by the debt to equity ratio (DER), dividend policy is measured by the dividend payout ratio (DPR) and company value is measured by price to book value (PVB). The population of this study is the health sector companies that are on the Indonesia Stock Exchange as many as 57 companies and 26 are taken as samples. The data collection period is from 2017 to 2021, with annual data. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis to test the hypothesis. The results show that profitability and leverage have no significant effect on dividend policy. Meanwhile, intangible assets have a negative and significant effect on dividend policy. Profitability and leverage have no significant effect on firm value. Meanwhile, intangible assets and dividend policy have a positive and significant effect on dividend policy.","PeriodicalId":363851,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Research","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123949214","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
