We consider one source (S), one destination (D), one passive eavesdropper and multiple amplify-and-forward (AF) relays. The relay node is selected based on the best instantaneous signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the first hop. Closed-form expressions for lower-bound of ergodic secrecy capacity (ESC) and secrecy outage probability (SOP) are derived over independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) Rayleigh fading environment. Moreover, we present a comparison between the proposed system and the secure AF relaying system with reactive relay selection (RRS). In the RRS, the relay is chosen based on the best SNR of the second hop. Simulation results are presented to verify the exactness of our proposed mathematical analysis.","PeriodicalId":363800,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114578341","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, how to realize stable and reliable task offloading under information uncertainty remains a critical challenge. In this paper, we propose a matching-learning-based task offloading algorithm to address this challenge. First, a low-complexity and stable task offloading mechanism is proposed to minimize the total network delay based on the pricing-based matching. Second, we extend the work to the scenario of information uncertainty, and develop a matching-learning-based task offloading algorithm by combining matching theory and upper confidence bound (UCB) algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve bounded deviation from the optimal performance without the global information.","PeriodicalId":363800,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117126851","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among these, applications with ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC) are at utmost importance due to stringent requirements. In this work, single carrier (SC) transmission is considered as a promising solution to meet demands of systems with URLLC. Firstly, SC system parameters affecting reliability and latency are comprehensively explained. Additionally, these parameters are optimized in time and frequency domain to achieve URLLC. Later, adaptive roll-off factor usage within a SC block is proposed to provide more efficient resource utilization. Trade-offs between reliability, latency and system efficiency are shown via computer based simulations. SC transmission inherently offers flexible structure to optimize the trade-offs through proper parameter selection.","PeriodicalId":363800,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129524264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two open circuits used as switches are employed in the CLLs elements to make the antenna frequency-reconfigurable in four operating modes: a single-band mode (2.2–2.7GHz), two dual-band mode : (0.8 to 1.1GHz/2.2-3GHz), then (1.5–2.2GHz/ 2.8–3.2GHz) and a triple-band mode (0.8–1GHz/ 1.6 to 2.2 GHz /2.6–3.1GHz). The monopole antenna is resonating at 2.45 GHz, while the CLL elements produce other operating frequency bands covering a number of wireless communication systems, including GSM, DCS, UMTS, WLAN, WiMAX and S-band. The simulated results of return loss, surface currents distribution and radiation patterns are presented and discussed.","PeriodicalId":363800,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128036852","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Satellite IoT, as an important complement and extension of the ground IoT, provides services in areas where oceanic and desert areas cannot build terrestrial IoT base stations. However, due to limited spectrum resources, spectrum sharing between terrestrial IoT and satellite IoT is likely to be required, which will inevitably lead to uplink and downlink co-channel interference between systems. This paper analyzes various interference scenarios that may occur on the uplink and downlink of terrestrial IoT and satellite IoT. Then, we establishes a global dynamic model of interference volume, and obtains the dynamic distribution of global interference of low-orbit satellite IoT through simulation. Finally, the paper uses the low-orbit satellite IoT global interference scenarios, interference distribution model and interference analysis model to obtain the dynamic analysis of the global uplink and downlink interference of the low-orbit satellite IoT, and uses the interference analysis results to give suggestions for the deployment of Low-orbit Satellite IoT.","PeriodicalId":363800,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117006053","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The key challenge is to achieve good resource management that will result in minimum energy consumption. This problem has been the subject of extensive research. In this paper, we report major solutions to the existing work proposed for the infrastructure cloud. We categorize these solutions based on approach optimization, used methods, and objective models. The latter are introduced by mathematical formulations that may be classified as mono-objective and multi-objective formulations. Typically, the single objective takes into account energy. Whereas, the multi-objective considers others, like resource utilization. Extensive simulation, using cloudsim, shows that the multi-objective formulations provide significant improvement than the mono-objective ones. Indeed, the results show an improvement of as much as 12% in the average energy consumption and 15% in the average resource utilization.","PeriodicalId":363800,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131509534","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system we propose is a combination of BLE, Acoustic and LiFi technologies. Our approach is not just arithmetic but using real time computed metrics that act precision indicators or \"Dilution of precision\" (DOP) weights of the results given by each technology. Depending on these DOP-like indicators, we were able to judge how much precise and accurate the returned results are. Our new approach was confirmed during experiments showing that the precision of this new hybrid system is much better when using these new precision metrics.","PeriodicalId":363800,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC)","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115756937","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Service Function Chain (SFC) mapping is a key problem in IoT network resource allocation. There are two challenges in virtual resource allocation include: 1) how to map SFC requests to appropriate devices in the right sequence; 2) how to assure QoS requirements of SFC requests. Therefore, to meet the sharp increase of IoT traffic amounts and the diversification of IoT service requirements, a multi-objective service function chain mapping mechanism is proposed with two sub-mechanisms. First, a SFC mapping algorithm is designed to embed VNFs onto the substrate layer based on cost and load balancing. Then a reliability-aware SFC backup algorithm combining SFC backup and VNF backup is presented to economically and efficiently improve service reliability. The simulation results show that the algorithm can significantly improve the acceptance ratio of SFC requests, reduce cost, ensure network balance, and achieve long-term sustainable operation of the network.","PeriodicalId":363800,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC)","volume":"293 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116528524","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
