Due to COVID-19, Maru Design had a problem managing and dividing the team because the company lacked workforce. Consequently, Maru Design’s Instagram and YouTube page tended to be inactive. As a result, Maru Design was experiencing low brand awareness problem. I conducted an online questionnaire to 102 people who were representatives of Maru Design’s target market, which was Surabaya citizens between the ages of 20 and 40. The solution was creating a promotional video in partnership with Maru Design. This promotional video can be used to increase the brand awareness of Maru Design by showing the unique selling point (USP) of the company. The promotional video was made by applying theories in the steps of making a promotional video (Maguire, 2016) and language used (Samantha, 2014). This video is aimed at improving the company’s brand awareness for future clients. Based on the research that I did, I found that Samaya still lacks of brand awareness, because only a few people know about Samaya. Therefore, the best solution to increase Samaya’s brand awareness is by creating a promotional video with USP (Unique Selling Points). There are several Samaya USPs that I highlight in the video such as the unique menu, private meeting room, and board games. The video is uploaded to Instagram and also to paid promotion accounts in Solo city, so the video could be watched by more target audience. A promotional video is the right effective solution is because video is one of the tools that is often watched by the target market when they seek out and discover the product they want to buy.","PeriodicalId":359834,"journal":{"name":"K@ta Kita","volume":"177 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133716219","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One popular series is BoJack Horseman. The show intrigues me because throughout its six seasons, it manages to show how childhood trauma deeply affects BoJack, the main character, as an adult. In this study, we want to analyze the root causes of BoJack’s childhood trauma and the coping mechanisms he did. The findings of this research suggest that there are two main reasons: maltreatment from caretakers and loss of a loved one. Furthermore, there are four forms of maltreatment from his parents: hurtful words, broken marriage, domestic abuse, and gaslighting/guilt tripping. To cope with his trauma, BoJack used four strategies: escapism, dark humor, suicide attempt, and professional help. Through a combination of these four strategies, BoJack was forced to deal with his childhood trauma to become a better person.","PeriodicalId":359834,"journal":{"name":"K@ta Kita","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128769970","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Child neglect is the failure to provide for the shelter, safety, supervision, and nutritional needs of the child. Child neglect is an underrated topic because it can be difficult to determine whether a parent is neglecting his/her child due to its unintentional nature. This paper explores what child neglect is, the possible effect of it such as disorganized attachment disorder, and ways to recover from said disorder. This paper uses the Attachment Theory by John Bowlby and the finding of the research is in the form of a screenplay. The screenplay uses tragicomedy as its genre, telling a story about a boy, Benny, who was neglected by his father as a child and now suffers from disorganized attachment disorder. Throughout his journey, he tries to recover from it by building trustful relationships and face his father about his neglected past.Keywords: child neglect, disorganized attachment disorder, screenplay, tragicomedy","PeriodicalId":359834,"journal":{"name":"K@ta Kita","volume":"420 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130038544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Petra Kharisma Abadi, now PeKA, is a company that makes and sells food-boxes in Magelang and Kedu areas. The customers are mainly from Magelang, 60% females 40% males, aged between 25 - 55 years. The main problem that I have found from the customer survey is lack of brand awareness, because the target customers cannot recognize the name of the company and its’ product. From the customer survey, I found that the solutions are making a new brand name, logo, and slogan. Besides, the company must highlight the USPs (durability, beauty, and low price). I used theories that focus on my main subjects, which are brand awareness, brand name, logo, and slogan. There are three benefits from the solution: target customers can be more familiar with the company, can boost sales by having the target market’s trust, and can later have a correct method of promotions after good branding.","PeriodicalId":359834,"journal":{"name":"K@ta Kita","volume":"142 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116348062","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, upon reaching their destination, immigrants often suffer from mental health problems. This work addresses how an immigrant status increases one’s likelihood to develop the early symptoms of schizophrenia and how to recover. It does so by using Blair Wheaton’s theory of the sociogenesis of psychological disorder and a phenomenological and participatory research written by Larry Davidson and his colleagues. It warrants a publication of the phenomenon in a creative form. This novella explores the perspective of Lukas Bertram, a wanted politician who left Earth for the planet of Morael, where he would try to survive amidst discrimination, give up, succumb to schizophrenia, and eventually recover. According to the findings, Lukas’ fatalism became the mediating variable between low socioeconomic status and his initial development of schizophrenia. Overcoming fatalism by reestablishing social connection and sense of control, thus, sparked his recovery process.","PeriodicalId":359834,"journal":{"name":"K@ta Kita","volume":"119 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115178913","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In conducting this study, the writer used the theory of Interactional styles by Holmes (2006). This study was done using a qualitative approach. The result of this study showed that Mark Baum used both feminine and masculine features of interactional style when talking to his interlocutors with different statuses. The writer also found out that the use of features of interactional style, such as aggressive interruption, direct, and autonomous, can be affected by the difference of status. However, analyses on the moral behaviors of atheists and religious people show that atheists behave similarly to any other group and that they possess their own methods of discovering a moral foundation. This thesis explores the discrimination atheists face within Indonesian society, and how atheists are able to develop and possess their own moral foundation. This thesis uses Turiel’s psychological Social Domain Theory, which is used to explain the moral panic around atheism as well as how morality develops outside of religious teaching. Therefore, this creative work intends to bring forth the urgency of mental health awareness, especially on women who are more prone to mental illness than men. The chosen topic is schizophrenia, which can result in fatal impacts, including suicide, if left untreated. The story follows Sandra, an Indonesian female police detective who unknowingly is battling schizophrenia while trying to catch a skilled mysterious criminal. After a series of regressions, she grows more miserable, reaches peak devastation when struck by grief, and tries to end her life. However, she manages to overcome the pain and, with the help of proper treatment, puts the illness under control. Conclusively, this work aims to highlight the importance of early treatment and awareness of mental illnesses.","PeriodicalId":359834,"journal":{"name":"K@ta Kita","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128984666","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
