Superpixel algorithm is supposed to generate superpixels with required boundary adherence, compactness as well as less computational complexity. However, most of the existing superpixel algorithms do not perform satisfactorily when it comes to compactness and boundary adherence, as they are a paradox in nature. In this paper, we propose a new superpixel segmentation method based on density peak (DP) clustering and modification of the original DP algorithm. The experimental results have been compared with state-of-the-art methods, both quantitatively and qualitatively, revealing the efficient outcomes that adhere to the object boundaries better than others.","PeriodicalId":359456,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Conference on Information and Computer Technologies (ICICT)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126896414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is a need for the data to be complete and accessible without missing points that interfere with more inferior results. A solution for filling in missing points is proposed in an automated way using the k-mean algorithm, which allows obtaining the necessary data from the nearest data sources. To estimate that these data are geographically close to each other, k-means use the clustering principle by dividing the data sources into specific clusters, respectively, taking their location by Lat and Lng. The existing solution helps to use AODPF with previously missing points, which was not possible when repeating the experiment with those metrological stations for which it was not possible. Article answers to three questions: Does the missing data fill in increase the accuracy of the forecast? The algorithm that fills the missing data shows automation and standard features? Does the Kalman filter increase the accuracy of the forecast? Of course, with limitations.","PeriodicalId":359456,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Conference on Information and Computer Technologies (ICICT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125823149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In other words, it brings improvements in order to increase the performance within the architecture. Its capability was tested on different scenarios using different datasets and using LeNet-5 architecture. So, these different testing conditions strengthen our proposal, the fact also emphasized in the experimental phase. We used such as datasets: MNIST, Fashion-MNIST, CIFAR-10, CIFAR-100 for a classification task, and Beijing PM2.5 dataset for a prediction task to determine the rank of air pollution. We introduced two variants of this function, the first variant being Soft Clipping Mish with a predefined parameter and the second variant being Soft Clipping Mish learnable, the learnable parameter giving us more flexibility into weights updates. This learnable parameter was initialized during the training phase with a value equal to 0.25. Our proposal was inspired by a recent activation function called Mish.","PeriodicalId":359456,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Conference on Information and Computer Technologies (ICICT)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133820965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This technique is used to compress LAS files, producing slightly better overall compression gain than the popular LAZ compression engine. Furthermore, the B-plane compression technique has other advantages. B-plane compression processes each of the ten attributes within the LAS files independently, allowing for parallel processing of LAS files, unlike LAZ which uses the return number and number of return attributes to provide context for compression of X, Y, and intensity attributes. Additionally, B-plane compression processes each attribute in a similar manner, with only minor adjustments to the compression technique for the intensity and return attributes as they are compressed as unsigned integers. All other attributes are compressed with the exact same algorithm. Overall, B-plane compression produces on average 1.48% increased compression gain when compared to LAZ compression for lossless compression of LAS files. Additionally, we introduce a quantization step in the compression of X, Y, Z, and intensity attributes, allowing for lossy compression and large compression gain.","PeriodicalId":359456,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Conference on Information and Computer Technologies (ICICT)","volume":"110 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125405624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the 5G network still needs to evolve to unfold the full potential where the network will use the higher frequency bands (i.e., millimeter-wave band) for the additional spectrum (i.e., 400~800 MHz) and boost the network capacity by several folds. The cell site coverage reduces significantly in higher frequency bands which is 100m radius compared to several kilometers in 4G networks. Therefore, the small cell densification will be the key to meet the high availability requirements of 5G networks. But each cell site will need to have a direct connection with the core network called the backhaul network, and it must meet the ultra-low latency requirements of the 5G network, which will be a new challenge. This paper introduces a backhaul network for 5G based on free-space optics and analyzes the backhaul link performances. It is found that there are several mechanisms that negatively affect the optical backhaul link while some of them are climate-related (e.g., rain, fog, and snow), others are related to atmospheric constituents (e.g. gaseous molecules).","PeriodicalId":359456,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Conference on Information and Computer Technologies (ICICT)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115408048","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to weather conditions, moisture, and intensive use, pavements tend to crack which requires maintenance and repair. Over the last few years, crack detection has become an active research area with the advances of deep learning techniques. Nowadays, multiples techniques are being explored to automatically detect cracks in images. In this paper, we consider the crack detection problem as a semantic segmentation task where we differentiate between crack and noncrack pixels. To do so, we use an encoder-decoder architecture equipped with a dilated convolution module to better capture the contextual information and preserve the spatial resolution. The evaluation of the proposed architecture demonstrates its effectiveness at detecting cracks in pavements and achieves an mIoU of 81%.","PeriodicalId":359456,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Conference on Information and Computer Technologies (ICICT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129643886","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a solution, edge computing (EC) has been introduced into these IoT systems. However, if too much of the cloud functionality is migrated to the edge, then the collected data cannot be shared between IoT systems, thereby decreasing its usefulness. We propose a multi-agent-based flexible IoT-EC architecture that balances the global optimization by the cloud with local optimization at the edges to optimize the roles of the cloud and edge servers dynamically. In this paper, we explain the simplified multi-objective optimization solutions for IoT EC. We also execute a simple traffic simulation to evaluate the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":359456,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Conference on Information and Computer Technologies (ICICT)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131227654","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It aims: 1) to identify the IT infrastructures utilized in LUCs specifically the hardware, software, network, and peopleware; 2) to determine the maturity level of IT infrastructure in LUCs in terms of incident management, request fulfillment management, and problem management, and; 3) to devise a framework that will assist these LUCs to improve and sustain their IT infrastructures. The study utilized quantitative research design and established criteria among intended LUCs. With IT infrastructures' maturity level, most LUCs indicated Level 1, interpreted as “Initial” which revealed that there are IT processes that needs to be documented. These findings serve as the input to Technology Management (TM) framework that can be used to improve and sustain their IT infrastructure. The said framework provides a concrete plan to ensure that IT infrastructure is well managed and will not lead to wastage.","PeriodicalId":359456,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Conference on Information and Computer Technologies (ICICT)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129907517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A clock synchronization ramp sloping compensation method is presented in this paper. Firstly, a voltage-current circuit is used to convert the clock signal into a synchronous current ramp signal, and then the wave of PWM is produced by comparing it with the loop error. Moreover, the RS flip-flop stability is ensured from the aspects of circuit timing and circuit structure. External resistivity parameters and external voltage set the maximum duty ratio so that the circuit can avoid sub-harmonic oscillation. Using the delay circuit to delay the main power MOSFET (NMOS) signal rise edge and active clamp MOSFET (PMOS) signal fall edge, realize interactive drive time adjustment of active clamped circuit. A high voltage BCD process fabricates the designed circuit to satisfy the voltage requirement from 8V to 36V and prevents the generation of latch-up. Simulation and verification results show that the clock synchronous ramp sloping active clamp PWM circuit has a good load adjustment rate and high efficiency. The maximum duty cycle can reach 80%, and the efficiency reaches 90%.","PeriodicalId":359456,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Conference on Information and Computer Technologies (ICICT)","volume":"129 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121156169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
