The objective consists in discriminating groups of close users. These groups are composed of users with similar behaviors. Event related to the user’s behaviors are recorded and transferred to a database. An approach is developed to determine the groups of the users. A non-parametric method of estimating a probability density is used to predict application launches and session openings in an individual way for each user. These algorithms have been implemented and demonstrated their effectiveness within a complete virtualization environment for workstations and applications under real conditions in a hospital.","PeriodicalId":358814,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Applied Smart Systems (ICASS)","volume":"165 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115478057","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the major contributors to the higher compression performance of HEVC is the introduction of larger Coding Units (CU) with recursive partitioning mechanisms. This achievement in performance is accompanied by a high computational complexity, making this new standard very difficult to be embedded in current multimedia services and broadcast platforms. In this paper, a performance evaluation of All-Intra (AI) parallel realization of HEVC encoder is proposed, using a heterogeneous Octa-core CubieBoard4 platform that includes two quad-core ARM A7 and ARM A15. We used the OpenMP paradigm for parallel realization where each thread is assigned to a core processor to encode a separate frame. AI configuration is used to break coding dependencies between successive frames, which allow the parallel processing of a set of images. Experimental results shows that the proposed parallel realization of HEVC encoder, using eight threads, reduces the computational complexity to about 4.35×, without any loss in coding performance. These results do not match to the expected acceleration due to the heterogeneity of the platform.","PeriodicalId":358814,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Applied Smart Systems (ICASS)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124933348","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first study has been done on controlling the double star induction machine (DSIM) by using field oriented control technique using a PI regulator. After, we present the theory of sliding mode control. We can see from the simulation results that the second proposed control system (SMC) is a robust nonlinear optimal controller. In order to reduce a torque ripple, the sign function is used, that is will be more explained in this paper. Let’s start with the problematic imposed on the low-voltage power system where we see the harmonics in the power grid imposed by the non-linear load voltage rectifier, electric motor, transformer, etc These harmonics pollute the supply network on the one hand and deteriorate the electrical devices on the other hand. To solve this problem, we have mounted a voltage inverter in parallel in the network between the power source and the load (our case a rectifier). This produces currents by offsetting all harmonics by applying direct power control (DPC). The results obtained in the laboratory by a test bench clearly show us that the graphs are similar with those obtained by the simulation. Then, the choice of the parameters of the system gave us a good quality of electrical energy. Thus, they meet the necessary conditions (THDis) less than 5% and ($(cos varphi )$ is close to unity) according to the recommendation IEEE519.","PeriodicalId":358814,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Applied Smart Systems (ICASS)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122830912","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some of the attributes are redundant while others are irrelevant, or are even unnecessary to the classification problem. Feature selection plays a crucial role in medical data analysis by identifying and removing irrelevant features from the training data. In this work, a feature subset selection method is proposed using hybridization of a genetic algorithm with a simulated annealing meta-heuristic and combined with SVM classifier. It tries to reduce the initial size of data and to select a set of relevant features to enhance the accuracy and speed of classification system. For evaluation, the proposed method is applied to eleven public medical datasets and then compared to two other methods of feature selection applied on the same datasets. Experimental results have shown that the proposed method with optimized SVM parameters gives competitive results and finds good quality solutions with small size.","PeriodicalId":358814,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Applied Smart Systems (ICASS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128381369","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
