Problems of the application of the RPN method and ideas for overcoming these problems are considered. Two variants of action priority matrices are proposed, both symmetrical in terms of the number of qualitative categories for the severity, occurrence, and detection (SOD) scores. The new matrices are compared with the original matrix and with each other.
