The research method uses qualitative methods with descriptive data presentation. The research was conducted at the Biology Education Study Program with a sample of 2020 pre-service teachers, with 57 pre-service teachers selected by purposive sampling. The data source is multiple-choice questions made by pre-service teachers and tested on students in pilot schools in Lampung Province, Indonesia. The results of the study showed that 72.46% of the questions were in the valid category and 18.84% of the HOTS questions were in the low category. The obstacles found were difficulties in compiling questions, especially HOTS questions, difficulties in making homogeneous alternative answers, and distractors.","PeriodicalId":358572,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Education for Sustainability and Diversity","volume":"113 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121381208","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Students consider that literacy is not essential, resulting in low interest in reading students and the impact of online learning; parents do not support student literacy, so students' literacy skills still need to be improved. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental research design with the One Group Pretest Posttest Design type. The population of this research is elementary school students in Pati, Central Java. Data collection techniques using test techniques. The research data was examined through the normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis testing, and n-gain test. The results showed that the effect of paper dolls as a storytelling medium on elementary school students' literacy skills was significant change. This can be seen from the increase in value after being given treatment in the form of using paper doll media as a storytelling medium which has increased. The lowest score in the pretest data was 40, and in the posttest data, it increased to 47, while the highest score in the pretest data was 67, and in the posttest, it increased to 97. The results of the data normality test obtained the sig value data in the pretest value of 0.102, and the sig value in the posttest value is 0.130 or greater than 0.05. So the data has a normal distribution. The paired sample mean difference test results showed an equal variance assumed value of 0.000. The decision was made based on the significance value; the result was a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, so Ho was rejected, meaning there was a difference in the average score between the pretest and posttest. Suggestions in this study are that students are expected to be able to optimize their literacy abilities.","PeriodicalId":358572,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Education for Sustainability and Diversity","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132600729","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The influence of the application of teaching factory on vocational learning on creative catering, developing competencies, producing new innovative products. Vocational catering is a special skill that can help students to be more independent. This learning can create an environment for students to gain experience making products, improve skills, so they can balance their abilities and knowledge. The population of this study were Cicendo Bandung SLB students who took part in the Teaching Factory program. This study uses the method of literature study and quantitative methods with data collection instruments using a questionnaire through the Google Form. This research questionnaire is a type of closed questionnaire, where the researcher gives the opportunity to respondents to give opinions on their choices. From the results of the study there were 23 respondents, 84.4% stated that the teaching factory program could affect student creativity, competence, and innovation, while 15.6% felt that it had little effect on student creativity, competence, and innovation. From the results of this study it can be concluded that teaching factory can be a program that supports student learning, especially for Cidenco SLB students. Because with this program students can be creative, innovate and practice their abilities directly in preparing themselves to enter the world of work. Therefore, it is hoped that the government and schools will be more aggressive in procuring this program.","PeriodicalId":358572,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Education for Sustainability and Diversity","volume":"744 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117014379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
