The parasitics considered for the study include inductor resistance, switching device resistance, diode forward voltage and capacitor equivalent series resistance. An equivalent circuit model is derived and based on the model, the influence of parasitics on the obtainable voltage gain and efficiency of Buck-Boost converter is investigated. It is a matter of worry for Distribution Network Operators (DNO). This issue can be resolved by increasing integration of renewable energy sources in the distribution systems to satisfy the growing electricity needs. Besides, advanced energy-efficient technologies such as Conservation Voltage Reduction (CVR) are considered to reduce the substation demand by regulating the voltage in a lower voltage regulation range (120-114)V, keeping voltage of the customer devices in permissible voltage limits. To attain higher substation energy savings, smart PV inverter Volt-VAr control has been incorporated. Time series simulation has been performed in OpenDSS environment for yearly load demand.i.e., 8760 hours of customers. The impact of seasonal variation of PV system characteristics has been examined on IEEE 13 node three-phase unbalanced distribution network along with voltage-dependent load model. The reported configuration yields bandwidth of 7.5% and 2.9 % respectively at lower and upper band. It also reported AR bandwidth of 40 MHz and 11MHz for lower and upper band, however the reported work does not provide in depth analysis of resonant modes responsible for dual band circular polarized response. The present paper gives in depth analysis using resonance curves and surface current distributions for dual band circular polarized response for reported configuration. From parametric investigations done it is detected that slit dimensions on main patch and defects created in ground plane using rectangular slot and truncated corners modifies the TM10, TM01, TM11 modes of main patch that yields dual band with circular polarization. Further optimization of same configuration is done on FR4 yielding impedance band width of 1.1 % and 1.3% for lower and upper band. This new type of FSS is the modification of a square loop FSS and it exhibits a stable response. The designed prototype of an array of double square slotted frequency selective surface (DSSFSS) is fabricated and the measured results are compared with the simulation results performed with a Finite Element Method (FEM) solver i.e. Ansys High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). The transmission response is stable under oblique angles of incidence ranging from 0 to 60 degrees. This paper deals with a single VSC (Voltage Source Converter), which is used to maintain the power quality of the microgrid and regulates its load voltage and frequency. The VSC control strategy is seamlessly switched the modes of microgrid from an islanded to the grid/DG (Diesel Generator) set connected mode, according to the power balance. An quadrature generalized integrator (QGI) based control of islanded/grid/DG set connected modes of the microgrid is presented, which improves the behavior of microgrid under nonlinear unbalanced load and unbalanced grid voltages condition. The robust automatic synchronization control unit has provided the seamless mode of switching and supply the uninterruptable power to the end-users. The microgrid control strategies are validated on MATLAB/Simulink. The important part is to use the techniques which give us high speed and minimum distortion. The work presented in this paper focuses to remove unwanted noise from a 6us pulse wave generated in high energy Medical Linear Accelerators developed for treatment of cancer. As a prototype, pulse wave of 6us is first generated using NI (National Instruments) Multisim software and is also tested in MATLAB and LabView. VHDL (Very High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language) code is then generated for Lowpass Digital FIR (Finite Impulse Response) filter using MATLAB FDATool which gives similar response as that of Bessel filter. The filter is implemented on Spartan 3A XC3S700A series FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and simulated with the help of ISE (Integrated Software Environment) Xilinx (v14.7) software to generate FPGA response. A combination of machine learning algorithms such as XG Boost, Support Vector Regression, Random Forest Regression is used temperatures prediction of silicon heat source which resembles to IC chips on FR4 substrate board for cooling under horizontal forced convection. Three-dimensional steady state conjugate heat transfer module with non-isothermal fluid flow is selected from COMSOL Multiphysics 5.4 to study heat transfer and fluid flow. For cooling constant heat flux of 5000 W/m2, 2.5 m/s air velocity is selected. A total of 100 simulations have performed, from which 80 configurations are used for training and rest 20 are used for testing. Python language is used for programming for Ensemble Learning. It has gained a great interest of researchers in the last few decades on skin lesion analysis. Computer based diagnostic systems are reliable source for clinicians in early detection of melanoma and help to predict the stand alone warning and treat the patients before time thus increasing chances of survival. However, it is difficult to accurately recognize melanoma skin lesion. We present an review of novel approaches used in computer aided system by comprehending key features of melanoma along with discussing the prominent techniques used in following phases like preprocessing of image, skin lesion segmentation, feature extraction from images and classification of skin lesion. We discuss various methodologies and results acquired at each phase. This is often accomplished by utilising a DC-DC Converter and an MPPT Algorithm. However, the irradiance that exists in nature is a continuously varying quantity, and conventional MPPT Algorithms function by varying output parameters of the DC-DC Converter, rather than maintaining the output voltage and current at a required reference. In this paper, a multistage control strategy is explored which successfully outputs a regulated voltage as the output even in conditions of varying irradiance. Especially, solar energy-based dish-Stirling power generator needs a supplementary source of energy for uninterrupted continuous power supply. The battery energy system may be a support system to the solar dish-Stirling arrangement for continuous power supply. This is the proposed system for demand-side power management and voltage stability. The classical PI controller is adopted for easiness of the controller design strategy and its implementation. The DC bus voltage of the autonomous microgrid is maintained during demand-side power management. A newly developed metaheuristic algorithm Atom Search Optimization (ASO) is explored to achieve the objective of the proposed work. The results obtained are compared with the results obtained using the particle swarm optimization technique, and it is found that the ASO gives better performance.
