The properties of these fluids are affected and modified through the application of these magnetic fields, which has many applications in the engineering area. To carry out the analysis, a circular geometry is taken on which the magnetic field acts perpendicular to the direction of movement of the fluid. The magnetorheological fluid used is Basonetic 5030. The inlet velocity of the fluid is considered to be 1.31 m/s for the geometry of 20 and 30 mm, respectively. The Bingham viscosity model is used to obtain the viscosity. For the numerical solution is used a commercial software, in which has been used a UDF for the application of the Bingham viscosity model. Among the reported results is the velocity profile and the pressure drop along the duct for magnetic fields of 0.01 to 0.5 Teslas, here is observed the influence of the magnetic effects on the magnetorheological fluid with different diameters.","PeriodicalId":356684,"journal":{"name":"ECORFAN Journal Taiwan","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129803918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The goal of this project is to improve the evaluation of the performance of a method for enhancing arteries in coronary angiograms, which use fractional derivatives. In this work an algorithm for automatic enhancement of vessels in coronary angiograms is evaluated, the method uses the Hessian matrix, the eigenvalues and the Grünwald-Letnikov fractional derivative with fractional order ω the in the interval (1,3). The probes of the performance of the method were made using a set of 20 coronary angiograms with its respective ground-truth image and the area under the ROC’s curve. The fractional orders are 2<ω and the second interval 2≥ω. The results show that the maximum values of area under the ROC’s curve are obtained when the derivative order is in the interval 2<ω<2.15.","PeriodicalId":356684,"journal":{"name":"ECORFAN Journal Taiwan","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123532853","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this distinguished plant has other benefits that may be used in non-conventional applications. The aim of this work is to investigate the optical properties of a mucilage to obtain a deeper and more detailed knowledge about possible non-alimentary applications of this organic material. In this work, we investigate some optical properties such as the absorbance and reflectance of a powdered mucilage in wavelengths ranging from 200 to 1300 nm. In addition, samples of commercial sunscreens were analyzed in the same band to compare their optical properties with those of the mucilage. We also discuss the feasibility of employing this mucilage as a unique active ingredient in organic sunscreens because of its optical characteristics. Finally, we comment on the limited usefulness of the sun protection factor as a measure of sunscreen's efficacy.","PeriodicalId":356684,"journal":{"name":"ECORFAN Journal Taiwan","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116862547","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The conditions for the presence of a ferroresonance in an electrical system can present high overvoltages that can result in damage to critical equipment, high costs of corrective maintenance and plant shutdowns. These impacts mentioned justify the importance of analyzing, predicting and being able to establish strategies that avoid ferroresonance. In the present work simulations of radial feeders are shown where the ferroresonance event is presented as well as strategies to mitigate it by observing the behavior of voltage signals through simulations in the ATPDraw software.","PeriodicalId":356684,"journal":{"name":"ECORFAN Journal Taiwan","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127980907","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So, its diagnosis is important. The aim of this work is to present a new approach to enforce faults diagnosis in Discrete Event Systems modeled by Interpreted Petri nets without limited to much its language. This approach is based on a Regulation Circuit that reduces the relative distance between any two pair of transitions that prevent the detection of the firing of transitions whose occurrence indicates that a fault occurred. By modifying the initial marks of the net that make up the Regulation Circuit, language limitation is avoided, and the diagnosis is established in k steps. First, the terminology used in the Interpreted Petri nets and the diagnosis are established, then the relationship between theses nets and the Regulation Circuit is reviewed to determine the characterization of nets where they can be added, they are analysed and then the proposal is made. The proposal is an option to force faults diagnosis in binary Interpreted Petri nets that are not diagnosable without limiting so much its language that represents their behavior.","PeriodicalId":356684,"journal":{"name":"ECORFAN Journal Taiwan","volume":"119 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133474085","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method integrates five stages: 1. Point cloud generation from RGB-D images; 2. Surface model generation; 3. Surface model refinement; 4. Texture generation and mapping; 5. Texture enhancement. The use of image processing algorithms for texture enhancement and the refinement of the surface models enables the improvement of the appearance of reconstructed models. The performed experimentation shows the results of the proposed method for five small textured objects. The appearance of reconstructed models was evaluated using a visual quality index; a sharper texture helps to improve such index.","PeriodicalId":356684,"journal":{"name":"ECORFAN Journal Taiwan","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133291403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has demanded that educational actors face and adapt to a series of changes that have been generated by the implementation of digital environments in the teaching-learning process. It is in this scenario where the objective is to identify the students’ emotions from High school with respect to their learning in a virtual environment. They experience a series of emotions that according to Lin, Su, Chao, Hsieh and Tsa, (2016) can generate the ideal environment to develop more successful learning processes through positive emotions. To achieve this objective, a quantitative investigation was developed, and a questionnaire with a Likert scale was designed and applied to a sample from the Enrique Cabrera Barroso Regional High School. This instrument revealed the emotions they experience in a virtual learning environment during their learning process and their interaction among the actors. Considering the results, we find that students experience a series of internal emotions that are decisive for adapting to a virtual environment.","PeriodicalId":356684,"journal":{"name":"ECORFAN Journal Taiwan","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130726939","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
