Therefore, how to solve the short-term peak load gap is one of the important issues to be considered in future power grid planning. Based on the actual existing operating rules of the peak regulation auxiliary service market in Shanghai, the specific mechanism of virtual power plants participating in the peak regulation market was studied. This paper establishes a multi-objective clearing model for virtual power plants to participate in peak-regulation dispatch. The upper level aims at maximizing the net income of virtual power plants, and the lower level aims at minimizing the peak regulation cost of the entire system. Considering renewable energy and load fluctuations, a day-ahead and intra-day multi-time scale clearing model is established, and a peak regulation scheduling strategy under specific scenarios is given. Finally, a specific calculation example proves that the virtual power plant participates in the peak-regulation market by the Shanghai peak-regulation auxiliary market mechanism, which can effectively reduce the overall peak-regulation cost of the Shanghai Power Grid, and the virtual power plant operators themselves can also benefit.","PeriodicalId":356667,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd Asia Energy and Electrical Engineering Symposium (AEEES)","volume":"1490 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123365614","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pilot zero-sequence directional protection has a high sensitivity to asymmetric ground faults of the entire power grid. During the period when complex faults occur on one circuit of double-circuit transmission lines on the same tower, due to the existence of multiple fault sources, the pilot zero-sequence directional protection may refuse to operate. Based on the principle of pilot zero-sequence directional protection, taking the single-phase grounding-disconnection complex fault of typical double-circuit lines as the research object, this paper qualitatively puts forward the influencing factors on the misoperation of pilot zero-sequence directional protection. Finally, through RTDS modeling and simulation, the influence of sending & receiving power flow and transition resistance on pilot zero-sequence directional protection when complex faults occur at different fault points is verified.","PeriodicalId":356667,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd Asia Energy and Electrical Engineering Symposium (AEEES)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124928196","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unlike existing LED sink drivers with series-connected structure, the proposed driver has the switched-inductor and switched capacitor (SISC) topology combining with an SI buck-boost converter and a nested-type SC converter in parallel. In the proposed topology, the LED cathode and anode are connected to the SI buck-boost converter and the nested-type SC converter, respectively. The characteristics of the proposed topology are analyzed theoretically. Furthermore, the validity of the proposed topology is confirmed by simulation program with integrated circuit emphasis (SPICE) simulations and breadboard experiments. The integrated energy system needs to have the function of extracting and processing massive data. The integrated energy system can make full use of the self-regulating ability of multiple types of loads and energy storage, and consider the interaction of source-load-storage to obtain higher economic benefits. On the basis of the integrated energy system, establish an electric energy storage model; for a translatable load, establish a load demand response model. Establish a comprehensive energy system model considering electricity-gas-heat, take the total cost of the system as the objective function, consider energy balance constraints and equipment constraints, and use CPLEX solver to solve. Even though these algorithms obtained remarkable performance, an evident disadvantage is that they generally depend on a fixed-length inputting data, where even slight data loss will cause them completely invalid. To overcome this shortcoming, this paper proposes an adaptive neural network based approach which is tolerant for missing data. In this approach, the temporal measurement sequence from each PMU is treated equally by the identical multi-layer neural network to generate abstract representations. Then multiple abstract representations of different PMUs are aggregated by a symmetrical function, followed by an output block to conduct either regression or classification tasks of voltage stability. Massive experiments using different testing systems show that our method is almost unaffected by missing data as well as maintains a comparable accuracy with previous learning algorithms.","PeriodicalId":356667,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd Asia Energy and Electrical Engineering Symposium (AEEES)","volume":"801 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131124273","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This concept is included in the objective function of EV that aims to reduce its charging cost. This concept is defined as a factor on the basis of EV's parameters and requirements, namely capacity, state-of-charge, charging power rate, demanded energy and departure time. Each EV is assumed to have to two working states, i.e., non-cooperative and cooperative. The value of the charging cooperative factor is at the highest value when it is on the non-cooperative state. While the value of the charging cooperative factor is less that the maximum in the cooperative stage, and thus it will allow the related EV shifts charging time slots to others without deteriorating its own changing cost to support other in-need EVs to charge. This introduces the cooperative relationship between EVs, i.e., EVs may cooperatively help each other in reducing their charging costs. The EV charging problem is treated as a generalized Nash equilibrium problem and the solution is reached in a distributed way by utilizing the consensus network. The simulation results proof the workability and effectiveness of the proposed distributed charging control reducing the charging cost of EVs.","PeriodicalId":356667,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd Asia Energy and Electrical Engineering Symposium (AEEES)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131310181","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, due to the low-frequency output current of PSMG, submodule (SM) capacitors suffer from large voltage ripple especially at rated wind speed. Second-order harmonic circulating current (SHCC) injection is effective for ripple reduction, but conventional techniques only suppress the fundamental component, leading to large SHCC at low wind speed, where the ripple is naturally small. The main contribution of this paper involves that a SHCC injection method, considering all voltage ripple components, is proposed, which maintains the ripple within a reasonable limit. Firstly, the voltage ripple is modeled with variable SHCC. Then, the injected SHCC for defined ripple limit is derived, which facilitates capacitance selection. Finally, a case study of MMC connected with 10-MW and 10-kV PMSG is conducted, based on which the voltage ripple with conventional and proposed injection methods, are analyzed and compared. The results demonstrate that SM capacitance can be reduced by 40% with the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":356667,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd Asia Energy and Electrical Engineering Symposium (AEEES)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126976453","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem of CHP unit joint electricity market bidding and heat-side DR pricing problem is expressed as a bi-level model, in which the upper model is the CHP unit decision model, and the lower models are the day-ahead electricity market clearing and the heat user decision model respectively.
