In addition, there are findings of new active faults in the Cugenang area that can potentially threaten the safety of the population. Therefore, it is necessary for the Government to reduce physical and material losses and reduce the number of casualties if a similar incident occurs again. BNPB is the leading sector in disaster management in Indonesia, one of which is disaster risk reduction efforts. This study aimed to analyze the role of BNPB in the efforts of nonstructural mitigation activities in the Cugenang Fault area of Cianjur Regency. The research method used was qualitative with an exploratory design. The data in this study were obtained from interviews, documentation, and observation in Cugenang District. The results of this study showed that BNPB's role in nonstructural mitigation efforts was carried out through activities: Policy Recommendation for post-disaster spatial plan of Cianjur 2022, Dissemination of information about the risk of natural disasters in Cugenang, Preparation of disaster risk assessment 2023. Conclusion The Cugenang Fault is an active fault that is prone to earthquake threats. Therefore, the government is obliged to protect the community from the threat of earthquakes through nonstructural mitigation activities. The research suggestion is for the local government to make a RTRW policy to protect the community from earthquakes through nonstructural mitigation activities.","PeriodicalId":356487,"journal":{"name":"International Journal Of Humanities Education and Social Sciences (IJHESS)","volume":"48 207","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140708506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this regard, it is important to know the climate suitability of the mangosteen plant and its projections, which will be used to take development planning steps in the appropriate area and support the increase in exports of mangosteen plants in West Sumatra Province to support national resilience in the face of climate change. The data used were monthly rainfall observation data and monthly air temperature for the period 2006-2015 at 46 rain posts in West Sumatra Province. The Minangkabau Meteorological Station is used as a reference station for monthly air temperatures estimation in 45 other rain posts which were calculated using the Braak method. Besides, land physical data such as soil texture and slope were used in each district in West Sumatra Province. Projected data used the Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP) 4.5 scenario model for monthly air temperature and monthly rainfall from the Model for Interdisciplinary Research on Climate (MIROC5) model with resolutions up to 20 x 20 km in the period 2006-2040. The projection data was divided into the baseline period for 2006-2015 and the projection period of 2031-2040. The climate suitability period was made for the present period 2006-2015 and the future projections for the period 2031- 2040. The results showed that the area of West Sumatra Province for the Very Appropriate category (S1) was decreasing in the projection period of 2031-2040 compared to the 2006-2015 baseline period. This can be seen in the projection period of the Very Appropriate category (S1), the area was reduced to 2,584,234 ha (72%) while in the baseline period the Very Corresponding category (S1) reached 2,811,321 ha (78%).","PeriodicalId":356487,"journal":{"name":"International Journal Of Humanities Education and Social Sciences (IJHESS)","volume":"78 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140708001","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the maritime areas facing complex challenges, considering the numerous legal violations and threats to the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), is the North Natuna Sea. The objective of this research is to analyze the operational patterns and preparations patterns of the Indonesian Navy Vessels (KRI) for deterrence strategies in supporting the national defense system. This study employs a qualitative method, utilizing interviews as a research instrument, supported by literature reviews, including books and other written references related to the research object. The results of this research indicate that the deterrence strategy has not been optimally implemented. This is due to various encountered challenges in the efforts made, highlighting the need for evaluation and improvement of both operational and preparedness patterns of KRI. This is essential to ensure that the deterrence strategy in the North Natuna Sea region, supporting the national defense system, can be carried out effectively and efficiently.","PeriodicalId":356487,"journal":{"name":"International Journal Of Humanities Education and Social Sciences (IJHESS)","volume":"48 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140707313","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The InaRISK map released by BNPB, shows that the Defense University is located in an area of Bogor Regency that is prone to disasters, especially landslides. Disaster risk assessment is an approach to show the potential negative impacts that may arise due to a potential disaster. The potential negative impacts are calculated based on the level of vulnerability and capacity of the area. This potential negative impact is seen from the potential number of people exposed, property loss, and environmental damage (PERKA BNPB, 2012). Researchers conducted an analysis of landslide and earthquake disaster vulnerability at the University of Defense. A study of building and population vulnerability to potential earthquakes and landslides was conducted at the University of Defense. The components of social vulnerability at the University of Defense in the event of an earthquake and landslide were obtained. Researchers obtained data on population capacity and building conditions at the University of Defense. Landslide and earthquake disaster risks have the potential to occur at the University of Defense. The University of Defense has the potential threat of landslides because the buildings of the University of Defense are located on hilly slopes. The vulnerability of the University of Defense buildings, the University of Defense buildings have not been designed to be entirely earthquake resistant. This can be seen in some buildings that have visible cracks. It is necessary to retrofit or strengthen the foundations of buildings in the Defense University area that have experienced a decrease in performance such as cracking, shifting, displacement. An important component where the University community and students need self-protection and rescue skills through training.","PeriodicalId":356487,"journal":{"name":"International Journal Of Humanities Education and Social Sciences (IJHESS)","volume":"19 S26","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140708329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The palm oil agribusiness system is closely related to the palm-based cooking oil industry system. However, the two systems each have a structural pattern that has a very high level of complexity. The Palm Oil industry has a market structure of oligopoly in the downstream, and oligopsony in the upstream. This condition allows the dominant company to become a price maker at all stages of the palm oil industry supply chain. The buying and selling system occurs by mutual action of buyers and sellers. In traditional markets, the relationship between traders and buyers is not just the seller receiving money and the buyer receiving goods, but can form social relationships that exist in the buying and selling process. The focus of this study is to analyze the Attachment Pattern of Fish Traders in the Traditional Market, Nanggalo District, Padang City. This study uses a qualitative approach that takes a descriptive type. Purposive sampling was used to select research informants. Research informants are attachments between fish traders. The data collection method begins through in-depth interviews, observations and document data collection. The unit of analysis is carried out from several stages, one of which is data collection, data reduction, data analysis and drawing conclusions which are referred to in the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this study show that the existence of fish traders in traditional markets is inseparable from the cooperation between traders in the process of taking fish. This is marked by the relationship that occurs between large actors such as large agents to small agents as well as to traders where a network has been established, which in turn forms attachment between traders which is characterized by trust in providing merchandise at the initial stage with a system that is no longer the same at the beginning. know, but already at the stage of being able to take fish first with the system of being allowed to owe and the installment system.","PeriodicalId":356487,"journal":{"name":"International Journal Of Humanities Education and Social Sciences (IJHESS)","volume":"17 14","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140715408","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
