This is quantitative research with an explanatory analysis method. The population in this study was the entire Muslim population of Jayapura City, Papua Province. Pre-observational research found that only 11% (22 respondents) of 200 respondents paid social charity to official government-owned institutions, while 89% (178 respondents) paid social charity to private non-profit institutions. Therefore, we obtained data using a questionnaire from 178 respondents who paid social charity to private non-profit organizations. The results show that three important variables can explain why people prefer to pay Islamic social finance to private non-profit institutions: channeling effectiveness, ease of access, and social influence. This study makes implications for private non-profit organizations on how to keep contributors' trust by paying attention to how donors' money is distributed, how accurately donations are distributed, and how the organization is perceived. The example set by private nonprofit organizations should be followed by government-owned private nonprofit organizations to improve their donor services.","PeriodicalId":355993,"journal":{"name":"ZISWAF: JURNAL ZAKAT DAN WAKAF","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122185107","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The UTAUT theory was employed in this study. PLS-SEM was used to analyze the data and test the hypothesis. 158 users of digital payment systems responded to the survey in total. The study's findings indicate that while performance expectancy has no impact on the intention to pay zakat through digital payments, effort expectancy, social influence, conducive conditions, and trust do. Additionally, trust promotes conditions and mediates social effects on behavioral intention, but it does not mediate performance expectations or effort expectations.","PeriodicalId":355993,"journal":{"name":"ZISWAF: JURNAL ZAKAT DAN WAKAF","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131915105","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Waqf-related research includes, among other things, the study of waqf law, productive waqf schemes, empowering waqf for poverty, stock waqf, and waqf connected to sukuk. The most popular articles are frequently those that discuss how waqf can reduce poverty and promote economic empowerment. Studies on the professionalism of waqf institutions in Indonesia are relatively few. A review of the literature on the management of waqf institutions in favor of professionalism was done by the researchers in light of this. This study is a quantitative investigation that makes use of bibliometric analysis. A quantitative strategy for examining bibliographic information in papers and journals is called bibliometrics. In this study, a waqf journal that Google Scholar has indexed served as the population. Publish or Perish 8 was used to select the samples for this study, which were publications with the keywords \"management of waqf institutions,\" \"waqf institutions,\" and \"professionalism of Nazhir\" in Indonesia. The information demonstrated an increase in the number of publications since the average year. According to Google Scholars, there were 82, 89, 110, 141, 147, 143, and 195 more publications about endowment per year from 2015 to 2021. The research's key themes were the effects of waqf on the role of nazhirs, effective waqf management, and nazhir certification. Future research plans are anticipated to concentrate on the professional behavior of waqf institutions and how to best foster professionalism through waqf institutions. In Indonesian waqf institutions, there is a level of professionalism known as nazhir certification. This study is intended to advance waqf research both domestically and internationally so that waqf research can expand with new topics and become more diverse.","PeriodicalId":355993,"journal":{"name":"ZISWAF: JURNAL ZAKAT DAN WAKAF","volume":"362 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132536403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to map the level of zakat literacy in the Kudus Regency using the Zakat Literacy Index and unearth the factors which influence people's behavior in paying zakat. This study uses a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. The results showed that the level of zakat literacy in the Kudus Regency was in the moderate category, with a Zakat Literacy Index score of 77.39. This study also shows that trust in scholars, peer influence, and education factors have influenced people's behavior and zakat understanding level. This paper also proffers implications to optimize the role of the zakat collector unit in order to increase the zakat knowledge of the community and the urgency of innovative and sustainable distribution programs.","PeriodicalId":355993,"journal":{"name":"ZISWAF: JURNAL ZAKAT DAN WAKAF","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128291181","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data for this research originated from the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) business actors in Kartasura Subdistrict, Central Java, Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach to explore the awareness of business zakat and its impact on business progress. The open-ended interviews with a single case study from micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the Kartasura sub-district, Central Java, Indonesia, were executed for data collection. 10 MSME businessmen were interviewed. The data was evaluated using the interpretative approach of the deductive method. The results showed the authors' deductive reasoning from the interview participants, explaining the informants' knowledge regarding zakat from commercial businesses and the impacts that might correspond to their business progress. This research underscores the importance of zakat awareness among MSME businessmen in Indonesia to further practice zakat in their businesses. This research recommended that MSME businesspeople need to know how to boost their zakat knowledge. MSME players must also include their staff to grasp their duties and the social purpose of zakat compliance, which will boost business development. Zakat management coordinators like BAZNAS must pay attention to MSMEs' compliance and zakat literacy because many sectors of the Indonesian economy still rely on them.","PeriodicalId":355993,"journal":{"name":"ZISWAF: JURNAL ZAKAT DAN WAKAF","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129981376","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper examines the institution of Zakat as a tool for alleviating poverty in Nigeria in general and Gombe state in particular, as well as the key roles of Zakat institutions and their problematic operation in the study area. The qualitative method for the study was developed through a literature review and interviews with relevant individuals. The study's findings revealed that the poverty rate of individuals with disabilities is higher than that of any other sub-group of individuals without a disability; thus, societal attitudes toward people with disabilities must be reconsidered immediately. The use of zakat income is a relevant tool for strengthening the skills of vulnerable people, part of which is disabled people. The implications of this study serve as a basis for making recommendations for expanding the scope of distribution of Zakat properties by including consumable properties and cash, as well as textile materials and entrepreneurial packages for the most talented disabled individuals to develop and finance the businesses they have in order to develop poverty alleviation programs in the state.","PeriodicalId":355993,"journal":{"name":"ZISWAF: JURNAL ZAKAT DAN WAKAF","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129002074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study analyzed keywords, topics, journals, and authors that were published in the Scopus database. This study focuses on a journal published between 2016 and 2021. This year was chosen because waqf management research has continued to advance since 2016. In addition, the scope of this study is restricted to three disciplines: social finance; economics, econometrics, and finance; and business, management, and accounting. There were a total of 93 articles that matched the year and topic criteria. Utilizing the Vosviewer application, the data is processed to determine the bibliometric mapping associated with the advancement of Waqf Management research. As indicated by the findings, the study's focus on waqf management has continued to evolve over the past six years. According to the results of the bibliometric analysis, the Waqf Management theme generates five clusters. Cluster 1 includes 15 topics. Cluster 2 includes 6 issues. Cluster 3 includes 4 issues. And Cluster 9 includes 2 issues. This study also demonstrates the need for further research on Waqf Management as a result of the proliferation of contemporary waqf products resulting from the development of waqf studies. This is necessary to preserve the integrity of the waqf and the management of waqf assets so that they remain within the sharia corridor. Since there isn't a clear way to tell if the performance of waqf institutions has gone up or down, one of the most important areas of research is the creation of performance criteria for waqf institutions.","PeriodicalId":355993,"journal":{"name":"ZISWAF: JURNAL ZAKAT DAN WAKAF","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114498241","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
