The analysis shows that similarities prevail over differences.  In both British and Armenian fairy tales spatial transference takes priority over the temporal one, when the main characters’ adventures or heroic deeds are presented; temporal transference is more common when evil deeds are described, especially the ones that happen at night. Besides, tragic and evil events are likely to take place more in enclosed areas than in open places.  The numbers three and seven occurring in British and Armenian fairy tales have the same symbolic meanings. The differences concern the numerical indication of time points usually observed in British fairy tales and the presentation of the narrative space, which is somewhat different in view of the diverse country landscape of England and Armenia. While the opening formulas are almost identical, the closing formulas in Armenian tales reveal some differences, ending with a reward for the listener and teller of the fairy tale as well as with blessings and behests directed to the listener.","PeriodicalId":355760,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 3rd International Academic Conference on Research in Social Sciences","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127000134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An inquiry into the interrelationship between justice in the commencement, during, and at the end of war reveals the centrality of human rights and just peace. Conversely, jus post bellum 's failure is associated with discrepancies in jus ad bellum and jus in bello conditions of just -war. The study, therefore, observes an intricate relationship between the three principles of just-war. This correlation is further stressed on the importance of jus ad bellum criteria of right-intention and proportionality principle of jus in bello to rightly administer judgment for crimes committed during war. To complement the already existing laws of warfare, the paper distinguished crimes based on intention into presumptuous, not-presumptuous, and un-presumptuous. Thus, all three conditions of just-war synergistically work together to justify a just-war claim for right resort to force.","PeriodicalId":355760,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 3rd International Academic Conference on Research in Social Sciences","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114305999","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the course of the turbulent history of the Balkans, we can find many examples that coincide with the efforts to homogenize the population, the creation of nation-states, involving all the inhabitants of the same nation, and this has been accompanied by mass expulsions, unprecedented expressions genocide, as well as a lot of violence, expropriation, etc. In this aspect, the most dramatic example occurred in the last decade of the XX-th Century, when the Serbs forcibly expelled and exercised genocide on the Albanian population of Kosovo, with the sole purpose of their departure, the homogenization of its territory, in an attempt to realize the \"Načertanije politics\". This and other facts will aim to analyze and describe this paper. In fact, the fall of Yugoslavia had begun as early as, in the 1980s, it took the form of a multidimensional and regressive collapse, rapidly due to the coming to power of the nationalist and speculative ruling classes in the republics of the former Yugoslavia, who found in nationalism a new mechanism for legitimizing arrogant and uncontrolled power. The Balkans has been, is and will be the object of study and research of various scholars in all fields. These and other aspects will be addressed in this paper.","PeriodicalId":355760,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 3rd International Academic Conference on Research in Social Sciences","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130309304","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even if the conditions caused by the pandemic are interpreted as similar or the same stress factors, this situation leads to different psychological effects in individuals. The changes that the pandemic brings to daily life and their associated effects may be associated with individuals' thoughts and emotional abilities on health. The basic beliefs and schematic structures underlying health cognitions allow individuals to perceive, interpret and live the world as they are inclined. Emotional Intelligence (EQ), can be interpreted briefly as one's recognition of one's own feelings, understanding the feelings of others and managing their own feelings. In this respect, the fact that the person notices change in their emotions with their experiences also causes them to understand and reorient behavioral reactions. Increased social awareness and social skills with emotional intelligence, when working in a supportive way, cause individuals to react more functionally to stressful events and are likely to engage in supportive behaviors towards their environment. In this respect, Emotional Intelligence (EQ) plays an important role both in developing functional health cognitions and for the ability to better deal with health problems. In this research, it is aimed to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and health cognitions as well as the sub-dimensions of health cognitions, and communication with the families of the students living away from home in quarantine in an island country such as Cyprus. This research is a quantitative and illustrative study designed according to the relational scanning model. The sample consists of 122 students. As data collection tools, firstly demographic information including the frequency of communication with the family in a week and the effects of corona virus on daily life are used. As the second data collection tool, the Schutte Emotional Intelligence Test Main Form is used. The third data collection tool is the Health Cognitions scale prepared by Heather D. Hadjistavropoulos and her colleagues (2012). For analysis of data as SPSS descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation test for the existence of linear relationship between subjects and multinomial regression technique are used for factor interactions. In the findings section of the research, data examining the relationship between emotional intelligence and health cognitions are analyzed with descriptive findings about the effect of COVID-19 outbreak on daily life of students who are studying away from their family on the island. When looking at the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on daily life, it is seen that it is \"noticeably\" is the highest comment at 42.6%. Adherent to the religion in question or not, the expert has respectfully and objectively tried to observe its application in the lives of the faithful, in its rituals, and practices. She appreciates and can articulate how that religious tradition has impacted on the cultural milieu. She can address its evolution, its highs and its lows. While clear standards exist for identifying an authority on any of the world’s major religions, today’s media largely relies on disparate criteria in their coverage of new religions. Journalists remain largely reliant on personalities who lack appropriate academic training. The “expertise” of some of media’s main sources stems from a questionable narrative that stereotypes and marginalizes millions, denying their religiosity and assessing them based on criteria that could equally be applied to mainstream religions and, yet, for the time being, are not. Few of the individuals making inchoate, often alarmist assertions about new religious movements have any advanced academic training in religion whatsoever. Some alleged authorities cited by the press have no university-level training at all. While today’s media professionals are commendably cautious in reporting on incidents involving race, religion, or ethnicity, they lack such deference in their coverage of new religions. Today’s media leaders should come to terms with the implications of this extant dichotomy of standards.","PeriodicalId":355760,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of ‏The 3rd International Academic Conference on Research in Social Sciences","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133064790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
