This risk is even greater with Parkinson's disease. This research highlights the fact that, during walking, the need for cognitive resources increases with age and with Parkinson's disease. It also demonstrates that after an intensive exercise program, the demand for resources is reduced. However, neuropsychological tests to detect cognitive disorders are not well suited to this population.
