It is no body suicides that are concerning when a woman is reported missing, presumed to have died by suicide, but no body is recovered. Many are later legally declared dead but many more remain missing. Four cases from the Republic of Ireland demonstrate the similarity in each case but also highlight uncomfortable questions surrounding the women's disappearance. Caution should be exercised as mental health history can be easily exploited, and scene staging should be seriously considered especially if the victim is presumed to have entered water. Any patient with a history of symptoms of CES must be referred to secondary care for urgent MR imaging (MRI) even in the absence of any objective signs of CES. This article reviews the prevalence and clinical diagnosis of CES, the new national guidelines and management in primary care. The standard of care for doctors, the legal basis of national guidelines and an illustrative judgement are discussed. The first victim was a 65-year-old man found dead on a road leading to his village, which passed through a forest. He sustained multiple blunt force traumatic injuries, primarily in the upper part of the body, caused by stomping from an elephant's feet. The second victim was a 28-year-old man found dead along the banks of the River Ganga. In addition to stomping injuries similar to those in the first case, he also had a fatal tusk penetrating wound in the abdomen. In both cases, death was sudden, resulting from shock and haemorrhage due to blunt force and penetrating trauma, respectively. Injuries typical of such attacks often involve blunt force trauma caused by stomping, squeezing or crushing by the elephant's trunk and feet. Its investigators were given significant powers for entering properties, copying and taking away documents and equipment and calling people to interview. Obstruction by individuals, including refusal to address questions put to them at interview, is a criminal offence leading, on summary conviction, to a fine. Phenol is the most toxic component responsible for most systemic signs. She experienced a wide range of symptoms and rapid clinical deterioration with a fatal outcome. The autopsy revealed lesions consistent with cutaneous vitiligo, necrosis of the liver, kidneys, lungs and pancreas. Toxicological and histological analysis confirmed chronic inflammation and acute systemic damage, highlighting <i>Ammi visnaga</i>'s potential toxicity. Its bioactive components vary, with the toxic dose estimated at 1 g per kg. This case demonstrates that prolonged consumption of herbal remedies like <i>Ammi visnaga</i> can be dangerous and indeed fatal. Raising public awareness on the dangers of self-medication and need for medical supervision and education on the dosage and side effects of <i>Ammi visnaga</i> is essential. It came into force on 27 February 2023. This study looks at its impact on birth rates in South Asian communities in England. There has been a non-significant fall in such birth rates since the Act. The independence of such statements is open to question when they are taken in the presence of the alleged abductor. To assess the processes adopted for investigation and prosecution of alleged abductors of girls and women in a defined community, data were collected on abductees in 2022 and 2023 in the four districts of Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab. Police reports were analysed for abducted girls: under 16, 16-18 and over 18. The number of cases almost doubled during the period. Girls under 16 were significantly more likely to be abducted than those aged 16-18 (<i>p</i> < 0.005), who were significantly more likely to be abducted than those over 18 (<i>p</i> < 0.02). In all three groups the abductor was significantly more likely to be physically present in court when a statement was taken from the abductee as to the events of the alleged abduction than her parents (<i>p</i> < 0.001). Abductions were twice as common in rural districts and abductors significantly more likely to be in court than parents (<i>p</i> < 0.01). A 41-year-old male was found suspended from the veranda of his residence by means of multiple woollen shawls tied together to form an improvised rope. Autopsy revealed mechanical asphyxia as the cause of death with no evidence of foul play. The death was accidental, most likely due to the deceased's attempt to descend from the first floor by rope. Surely this is a public health crisis. The Municipality's fragile health infrastructure and its failure to provide a prompt and appropriate medical responses has aggravated ethical tension between animal rights and human safety issues and exposed the inadequacies in the system. The present Article analyses India's medico-legal framework for dog bite cases from various perspectives, including ethical, statutory and judicial. The present Article also looks at the legal framework, comprising the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960, the National Guidelines for Rabies Prophylaxis, 2019, the Animal Birth Control Rules, 2023 and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023.
