The main approach of this research is to modify the superconducting ceramic. The composite samples consisting of YBa2Ca2Cu2.8(Ag, Hg)0.2 O7-δ superconductor ceramic and epoxy have been prepared. The sander four probe techniques and contactless induction based on Meissner effect were used to study the superconducting properties of sintered ceramic and composite samples. The results showed that in all composite samples which were prepared by the addition of the ceramic superconducting powder as filler to the epoxy polymer, there was no decrease in the Tc of ceramic superconductor precursor filler; a very slight change was observed. The partial replacement of Cu ion by either Ag or Hg ions was found to modify the superconductive nature. Projects mostly do not have real-time information on labour and material shortage. From the literature, it is identified that project-driven supply chain (PDSC) activities comprise of both on-field activities (i.e., resource and equipment planning, work assignment), and off-site activities (i.e., manufacturing, transportation, and material stocking). Thus, it is imperative to make both on-field and off-site project community are connected to drive the work alignment and ensure to minimise project disruption. The IoT technology bridges the gaps in the current PDSC and assists enterprises for better project planning and implementation. The objective of the paper is to discuss the opportunities that exist with IoT technology for project-driven supply chain organisations in the Industry 4.0 environment. A case study is performed in a project-based organisation. Based on the study, recommendations are given to stakeholders to deploy IoT to track material shortages in real-time and make timely decisions, reduce equipment maintenance costs and improve worker's safety with technology. Especially on cases where heavy industrial activities take place within, or near, the boundaries of protected areas, the preservation of nature is at high risk. In this paper, we utilise the method of life cycle assessment (LCA) to assess the existing environmental situation of a protected area in NE Greece with anthropogenic activities. Moreover, the potential implementation of industrial symbiosis is examined, in order to minimise the environmental impacts within the boundaries of the protected area. LCA is used to compare the existing situation and the symbiotic scenario. Biodiesel prepared from two types of vegetable oils (soybean B15, B20, and Karanja B10) in a novel transesterification process, which involves the single-step production of fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) has been used. This method of fuel production is less time consuming and cost-effective. Brake power, brake mean effective pressure, brake thermal efficiency, and specific fuel consumption are measured under variable load conditions which show almost similar performance trends of various mechanical parameters for the biodiesel as of common diesel fuel. Emission analysis has also been carried out, which shows that there have been decreasing trends of CO and increasing trends in CO2 and NOX percentage in case of increasing load.
