The challenges of the entrepreneurial environment are mirrored in the\u0000higher education system that has the task of preparing students for the\u0000unpredictable and turbulent labour market. Business decisions are vital for the\u0000survival of an enterprise, together with the entrepreneurial functions of\u0000project planning, development and execution, as well as the ability to adapt to\u0000teamwork settings, be proactive and take risks. Accordingly, keeping abreast of\u0000innovative and interactive trends in teaching is a crucial element in the\u0000overall development of the skills and competencies of future entrepreneurs, in\u0000particular, and the teaching process, in general.\u0000The purpose of this paper is to investigate\u0000the satisfaction of students with regard to the benefits derived from the\u0000application of active teaching methods in an undergraduate university study\u0000programme at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management of the\u0000University of Rijeka. Using business simulations in teaching the course\u0000“Entrepreneurial Management and Innovation” is an active learning method that\u0000allows students to experiment with business strategies, in a risk-free setting,\u0000in the strategic areas of managing human resources, capacities, investments,\u0000service quality, prices and marketing. Research for the purposes of this paper was\u0000conducted among second-year, full-time students of the undergraduate university\u0000study programme, using the survey method and a pre-designed structured\u0000questionnaire. Research results point to a high level of student satisfaction\u0000with regard to the innovative approach to teaching and the benefits of active\u0000learning methods used, which the respondents distinctly prefer relative to\u0000traditional seminar-based teaching. The study indicates a high level of\u0000satisfaction with the benefits of simulations in the process of developing\u0000entrepreneurial spirit and managerial skills but also a lower level of\u0000satisfaction in the segment of complexity in connection with previously\u0000acquired knowledge. {"title":"Funding patterns of bibliometrics research","authors":"P. Kokol","doi":"10.32914/I.51.3-4.2","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32914/I.51.3-4.2","url":null,"abstract":"To identify research funding patterns behind bibliometrics as a rapidly expanding science was the aim of the study presented in this paper. We analysed funding information of 8,622 bibliometric papers harvested from Web of Science, among which 1,786 (20.7%) were Papers with Reported Funding (PRFs). The trend in number of PRFs funding in last five years was positive. The most productive countries in PRFs` production were China, the USA and the UK. The same countries were also the most prolific regarding how many times they were mentioned in funding acknowledgements. The number of PRFs published per country was related with OECD reported Gross Domestic Spending on R&D for 2015. There was a significant correlation between number of PRFs per country and the number of all bibliometric papers per country. Far the most prolific funding agency was National Natural Science Foundation of China, followed by the European Commission and the USAs National Science Foundation. Of the five leading global megatrends, two are in the\u0000field of ICT, digital media and new technologies. The main reasons for the impact of IT megatrends are twofold: (1) the digital convergence of the media, ICT and telecommunications industries, (2)the exponential increase in information, computing power and internet transfer data. Digital convergence will significantly contribute to changing business models. For the purposes of this analysis, we have used qualitative research based on a semi-structured in-depth interview. Qualitative research conducted on a sample of 19 representatives of banks. In addition to these type of surveys, an analysis and evaluation of the websites banks was carried out as well, based on the Web Assessment Index (WAI), whereas the Facebook Assessment Index (FAI) method was used for assessing the effects of using Facebook (as the quintessential representative of social networks). The results indicate that internet marketing has vast potential in the banking industry, that the potential of various instruments of internet marketing are not the same and that there are numerous limitations to their implementation banks. This paper aims to use the obtained results to help the banks’ employees and management recognize and consider the potential of internet marketing at a more profound level and properly adapt the selected combination of instruments to different client profiles. The identified barriers to the\u0000implementation of this marketing concept in Montenegrin banks may provide a basis for seeking solutions for their removal, and thus, in the final part of the paper, in addition to reflecting on the identified\u0000problems, the authors put forward their recommendations and suggestions. Plant disease diagnosis helps to improve both the quality and quantity of crop productivity. In existing, to detect the diseases they used the spectroscopic techniques. These techniques are very expensive and can only be utilized by trained persons only. This work proposes an approach for the detection of leaf diseases based on the characterization of texture, shape and color properties. The detection of diseases which are detected using ISRC(improved sparse Representation Classifier) technique. First the GENABC clustering approach is applied to the input image to segment the affected area. Then extract the features from the affected area by using feature extraction techniques. In this paper Improved Transform Encoded Local Pattern used to extract the texture feature, Enhanced Gradient Feature (EGF) to extract the shape and Improved Color Histogram Techniques(ICH) are used to extract the color. And then these features are given to the ISRC classifier to get the exact type of disease on affected leaves. To analyze the performance of the proposed method we use four metrics. They\u0000are classification accuracy, error rate, precision value and recall value.
