Also, it can be used for research and academic purposes, to study different arrhythmia patterns that the human heart can generate, in other words, it’s a modifiable human heart. The innovativeness of the system lies in the fact, that this system generates signals at 9 different channels (i.e. 10 electrodes of ECG machine) in parallel from actual data taken from patients. Unlike conventional ECG simulators, which generates a single pattern (waveform) and feed multipliers of that into 10 different channels. The developed instrument also replicates the human heart by changing delay time between each QRS complex to change pulse rate, a feature which is also absent in conventional ECG simulators. The developed system is tested and validated with an established and certified ECG machine at Indian Institute of Medical Technology (IIMT), Kolkata.","PeriodicalId":350816,"journal":{"name":"2019 Women Institute of Technology Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WITCON ECE)","volume":"2004 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127330496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Conventional digital logic gate integrated circuits have been very useful components in the field of electronics. Two input XOR and XNOR digital logic gates are available as two separate integrated circuits (IC) 7486 and 74266 respectively. Here, an optical integrated circuit (OIC) is presented as a single unit that can cater to the job of the XOR as well as XNOR logic functions. The single OIC contains four XOR gates that are designed using the electro-optical unit – Mach-Zehnder Interferometer.","PeriodicalId":350816,"journal":{"name":"2019 Women Institute of Technology Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WITCON ECE)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121046363","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The rectifier circuit is on R load and it was noticed that even at R load the AC supply is supplying Q power towards the load side. Since R load doesn’t demand Q power, the Q power is demanded by the controlled switches, at various firing angle. The Q power is directly proportional to the Sine of actual power factor angle. In this paper, a disc rotor topology with single layer of permanent magnets per phase is proposed to improve the torque density. Unlike conventional transverse flux machine, the stator construction is simplified by joining c-cores of all phase stacks together in the proposed design. Analytical equations are derived for calculating the electromagnetic torque, magnetizing inductance, and leakage inductance. The disc rotor transverse flux machine is compared with an equivalent cylindrical rotor transverse flux machine using finite element analysis simulation. It is found that the transverse flux machine with disc rotor has higher torque density than that of cylindrical rotor topology.","PeriodicalId":350816,"journal":{"name":"2019 Women Institute of Technology Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WITCON ECE)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123899172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Rajasthan power system having four765 kV GSS, twenty-seven 400 kV GSS, One twenty two 220 kV GSS and four fifty two 132 kV GSS is selected to carry out simulation based case study in MiPower software. Simulation model consists of 943 buses including 85 generator buses, 1142 transmission lines and 201 transformers. The continuous grid operations without operational studies and supervision may lead to create problems in power network. Similar problem is raised up in Rajasthan power network the taps of 400/220 kV transformers of 400 kV grid substation is lower than nominal while at some it is higher than nominal. Due to lack of observation thirteen numbers of 400 kV grid sub stations are observed to use higher tap ratios than nominal which results in higher network voltage at 220 kV level. Even the operators reversing the situation by keeping system shunt capacitors off to reduce the high voltage condition. Test network loading is about10500 MW. Case studies are carried out to observe the effect of reduction in transformer tap position of 400/220 kV, over the thirteen 400 kV grid substations. The impact on voltage profile of busses, system losses, financial analysis, loadings of system elements are presented at last.","PeriodicalId":350816,"journal":{"name":"2019 Women Institute of Technology Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WITCON ECE)","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125463455","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Other reasons for receiving bad measurements at control centers may be due to wrong reading of the meter. There can be a number of reasons for measurement’s value to be recorded as wrong, e.g. outage of meter, drift in meter and bias in the meter.Therefore the measurements received may be erroneous sometimes, due to which the state estimation results may be misleading, and consequently can cause problem in monitoring and control of power system. Thus it is necessary to remove bad data from the measurement set or establish some robust state estimation techniques which can remove the effects of bad data on the estimated states.In this paper the problem of multiple bad measurements detection and identification is defined as a binary variables optimization problem and it’s solutions are obtained by using Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (BPSO). It is observed that this method can be used to identify multiple interacting erroneous measurements.","PeriodicalId":350816,"journal":{"name":"2019 Women Institute of Technology Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WITCON ECE)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115241270","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Extensive research work in the field of optical character recognition has led to the development of robust recognition mechanisms for various languages. The concepts of Artificial Intelligence and Deep learning have played a significant role in technological advancements in this field. But there are still some languages that don't have efficient Optical Character Recognition (OCR) systems but have vast ancient literature in the form of scriptures and manuscripts which are still relevant in the present. In recent years, the conventional Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) has performed distinctly in image processing and pattern recognition applications. But the pooling operation in CNN ignores the important spatial information, which proves to be an essential attribute in many cases. The proposed Capsule Network extracts spatial information and improves the capabilities of traditional CNN. It uses capsules to describe features in multiple dimensions and dynamic routing to increase the performance of the network.","PeriodicalId":350816,"journal":{"name":"2019 Women Institute of Technology Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WITCON ECE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130411851","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
