Strain is the norm even outside of exceptional public health situations. The onset of a surge - whether massive or overwhelming - regardless of its duration, requires adjustments, some of which must be anticipated. We present an original model of hospital-private practice synergy at the heart of crisis management. However, donor-recipient incompatibilities, particularly ABO incompatibility, pose a significant immunological barrier. Desensitization protocols, which remove the antibodies responsible for these incompatibilities, are an increasingly common method used to address this issue.
