They allow, on an exceptional basis, the delegation of activities or procedures between healthcare professionals in order to improve the flow of care and access to treatment. Treatment is most often provided within a judicial framework, which complicates the therapeutic alliance but at the same time enables care to be provided throughout the process with evolving objectives. Nurses play a key role in this process, in clinical and psychosocial assessment, psychotherapy, and the implementation of drug treatments, as well as in coordination with the various stakeholders (prison integration and probation services, social workers, other caregivers). Structured objective clinical assessment is one of the approaches used to evaluate students' skills. The results of an experiment conducted at the Ifsi of the Rouen-Normandy University Hospital Center highlight the importance of continuing to use this method.
