It is not a cost but an investment that affects the entire population. However, when it comes to cardiovascular prevention, the facts are clear: women are still too often left out of these prevention programs. Working in intensive care, conventional cardiology, and post-hospitalization units at a public hospital in Seine-Saint-Denis, four healthcare professionals-three registered nurses (RNs) and one advanced practice nurse (APN)-describe the demanding nature of their work in the cardiology department. The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines emphasize the importance of an individualized screening strategy based on the assessment of overall cardiovascular risk and noninvasive imaging.
