At a first glance, the Power Amount Analysis (PAA) may be seen as just a variant of the CPA method, but PAA relies on a completely different understanding of the noise in power traces. The latter exploits a large number of time points in the captured power traces to determine their contribution to the information leakage. It features a faster calculation, less traces usage, and stronger misalignment tolerance compared to a CPA-based attack. In order to further strengthen such an attack, in this paper we propose a framework to consider the injection of the Hamming distance power model into the captured power traces by exploiting the least squares estimation and to combine it with the PAA method. The application example shows that an integration of this attack method and the mentioned power model features good analysis results yielding a considerable performance improvement of the original PAA approach.","PeriodicalId":347937,"journal":{"name":"2012 Eighth International Conference on Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128053060","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on human morphology, the feature of the human body in video surveillance is analyzed. Secondly, \"the head and shoulder projection curve\",\" the proportion of head hair \"and \"height-width ratio \"are extracted as three key parameters by mathematical methods. Finally, the two key parameters are used to detect the moving target, replacing the existing threshold. DSP-based experimental results show that this method can effectively distinguish a moving human object from the moving interferential object caused by environmental change, thus to avoid the false alarms by the improvement of movement tracking stability.","PeriodicalId":347937,"journal":{"name":"2012 Eighth International Conference on Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121271444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, these methods were generally based on the target data without considering auxiliary data. If the knowledge from auxiliary data could be successfully transferred to the target data, the performance of the model would be improved. In recent years, transfer learning has emerged to address this problem. Based on transfer learning, we present a knowledge transferring method to enhance the image classification performance. Since the target data are merely limited on images, we employ an auxiliary dataset to construct the pseudo text for each target image. By exploiting the semantic structure of the pseudo text data, the visual features are mapped to the semantic space which respects the text structure. Experiments show that the proposed approach in this paper is feasible.","PeriodicalId":347937,"journal":{"name":"2012 Eighth International Conference on Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122754421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose to learn incoherent multilevel dictionaries using discriminative clustering in each level. To this end, we present the discriminative K-lines clustering that iterates between identifying the cluster centers and computing the discriminant directions. A scheme for computing representations using the proposed dictionary is also developed. Simulation results for compressed sensing using standard images demonstrate that incorporating incoherence in the dictionary results in improved recovery performance. Furthermore, we implement the proposed algorithms as part of a sparse representations toolbox for the J-DSP software package.","PeriodicalId":347937,"journal":{"name":"2012 Eighth International Conference on Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124520274","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For current researches, compressive sampling techniques focus on compression performances. There are very few papers aiming at the integration of watermarking into compressive sampling systems. In this paper, we propose an innovative scheme that considers the copyright protection of data with compressive sampling. By carefully utilizing the relationships between coefficients, very few amounts of transmitted coefficients are capable of reconstructing the image to some extent. An image is first divided into blocks and each pixel in a block is associated with unique mirror value(s). The original pixel value is modified to its associated value(s) to encode external payload. A block is further categorized as reflective and non-reflective block, depending on the range of pixel values in it. The number of bits embedded into a block can be controlled to achieve different level of image quality degradation. To further intensify the distortion, pixels grouped in block of predefined size is permuted where scalability in quality degradation is achieved by changing the block size. Basic performance of the proposed method is verified through experiments using standard test images. In the best case scenario, an image can hold up to 2.26 bits per pixel of external payload.","PeriodicalId":347937,"journal":{"name":"2012 Eighth International Conference on Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130233910","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The original image is divided into n × n sized non-overlapping blocks and encoded by BTC to obtain the BTC-compressed bitstream. Each block is presented by a low mean value, a high mean value and a binary bitmap. The proposed scheme exploits the correlation among adjacent blocks and embeds data into low mean value and high mean value by prediction-error expansion. Meanwhile, no additional overflow/underflow location map is required. For those blocks with the same low mean value and high mean value, data are embedded into the bitmaps.
