The algorithm is developed for Fixed Point Processor. It only required fixed point multiplier 32×32 and fixed point adder. In addition, the algorithm uses Table Lookup method with the size of table being less than 2 Kbytes. Hence, computations are speed up significantly although it does not require many resources. One of the advantages points is that the algorithm computes Sine and Cosine functions without extra floating point units; it can compute fraction numbers under fixed point format. In some applications which require high accuracy in computing, this algorithm needs to be analyzed carefully to satisfy the error in computing. The algorithm's correction is verified successfully by ModelSim-Altera software.","PeriodicalId":347166,"journal":{"name":"2014 11th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology (ECTI-CON)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134138529","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed communication protocol is achieved by introducing the control codes of tag/data type and the bit error rate (BER) is reduced by using the central read technology. A digital timing synchronization circuit is also proposed to achieve clock synchronization between biosensor nodes. The proposed TDMA baseband is fabricated successfully in a 0.18-μm CMOS process and designed with verilog HDL. Game Theory is a tool which can be applied to allocate the limited resources among the selfish users in CRN. The distributed users actions and decisions can drive the system into an equilibrium state. We analyze the Nash Equilibrium (NE) solution for different CRN scenarios beginning from simple scenarios (`Fixed: 3 link, 2 ch' and `Fixed and Random: 5 link, 3 ch') then to a more complex one (`Random: 10 link, 4 ch'). We then develop policies for channel allocation for CRN based on the results obtained. These general policies can be used in other CRN scenarios to reach equilibrium solutions with less computation resources and time.","PeriodicalId":347166,"journal":{"name":"2014 11th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology (ECTI-CON)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121491964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The intermittent characteristics of the RERs will affect the transmission network expansion planning (TNEP). Consequently, this paper presents a new problem formulation and solution procedure for the TNEP which can cope with the intermittent characteristics. Taguchi's Orthogonal Array Testing (TOAT) is used to select the scenarios which represent the loads and RERs uncertainties. In this paper, a new index “Renewable Energy Leak (REL)” is proposed to evaluate the “unutilized or leaked” renewable energy in the TNEP. For minimizing the investment cost of transmission network expansion, annual generator operation cost, and annual transmission line loss cost, the meta-heuristic Adaptive Tabu Search (ATS) algorithm is used while the system operating limits including REL index are taken into account as the optimization constraints. The proposed procedure is tested in a modified IEEE Reliability Test System 79. The results show that the proposed method is efficient and promising.","PeriodicalId":347166,"journal":{"name":"2014 11th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology (ECTI-CON)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-05-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124253403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Surveillance, Traffic Control, Driver Assistance & Biomedical imaging are few to name. Higher accuracy is vital in each application. Thus accuracy enhancing techniques are used in each case. Among many other techniques Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) is best known for its recursive least-mean square algorithm for error elimination and optimum estimation. Yet detecting and tracking of objects in an unknown territory using a mobile platform remains a challenge. Effective management of risk significantly helps increase rate of project success as well as reduce potential costs of failures. This paper proposes an innovative card-based game which simulates entire cycle of risk management. During the activity, the participants form an organization called “A Risk Management Incorporation (ARMI)”. They are then given chance to experience, analyze, plan, repeat and evolve their risk management processes. It is challenging to design and develop a scalable system for managing a massive amount of data to be stored, processed, and transferred. In our proposed system, we integrate advantages of several techniques, which are reactor pattern, MVC model and Blueprint CSS framework. In our performance test based on reactor pattern, the simulation results show that 100 percent of successful rate can be achieved at high load. The implementation of web application based on MVC model provides modifiability and extensibility in our service platform. Furthermore, the web application development base on Blueprint CSS framework can support various web browsers.
