Water irrigation has a number of advantages, including an increase in crop yield, protection against famine, revenue generation, and the avoidance of mixed cropping. It also has advantages in navigation, hydroelectric power generation, and the creation of employment opportunities. It should be noted that irrigation has both advantages and disadvantages, just like everything else. Irrigation has a number of disadvantages, including the waste of irrigation water, the formation of marshy lands, damp weather, and the loss of valuable agricultural land. Drip irrigation is one of the surface and subsurface irrigation methods that we will discuss in this paper. We will also discuss the various effects and advancements in this technique that have occurred as a result of the research conducted. Last but not least, the significance and necessity of this system will be discussed.","PeriodicalId":345208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Engineering Research and Application","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128578853","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is sustainable, ecofriendly, durable, and economic concrete. Machine learning methods could an alternatives to determines strength without destruction tests conduction of the mix samples. In this study, to analyse the experimental investigation and prediction of compressive strength using artificial neural network. In experimental analysis, M2 mix got optimum point in the compressive strength among all mixes. ANN model is used to predict the compressive strength of geopolymer concrete. ANN model prediction has negligible errors. So, it can be stated that machine learning methods are capable to predicts the strength of concrete accurately.","PeriodicalId":345208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Engineering Research and Application","volume":"188 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116213563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The coefficient of permeability influences the seepage of water through soil. This coefficient of permeability further depends on the viscosity of water, average particle size, and void ratio of the soil present at the location. Variation of these factors results in the variation of the coefficient of permeability which results in the seepage of water through the earthen structures like earthen dams. In hydraulic structures, seepage of water is one of the major cause for piping failure. This study aims to numerically establish the trend of variation of the coefficient of permeability with the variation of viscosity of water which is caused due to changes in temperature at various prominent locations in India. The locations selected are Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Srinagar. These locations are selected to cover each type of geographical condition, climatic condition (mild and extreme), temperature range, and soil type. The ratio between maximum value of coefficient of permeablity to the minimum value of the same was calculated for each location. It was observed that among the chosen locations, Jaipur showed the maximum variation of permeability while Chennai had the minimum variation. The comparison established may provide an additional source of data for the efficient design of hydraulic structures to be constructed near the selected locations.","PeriodicalId":345208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Engineering Research and Application","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127693621","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For understanding the wind loads and their effects on the building Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools are widely used. This paper focuses on the Coefficient of pressure along the circumference at two different elevations for a 7.5% setback provided from all sides at two different elevations using the k- ε model. For the validation of this study, the analysis is first done over a rectangular calibrated model with the same height and base area as that of the setback model and the results of the pressure coefficient are compared with the Indian standard code IS 875 (Part 3): 2015. Variation of Cpe along circumference is observed with a change in wind incident angle from 0 ° to 90 ° for an interval of 30°.","PeriodicalId":345208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Engineering Research and Application","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132349538","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, to cope with this increasing demand and to achieve maximum utilization of resources, tall buildings are being built. However, these buildings are extremely vulnerable to lateral loads, particularly wind loads.To ensure the safety of these buildings, wind tunnel studies are used to examine the effects of wind loads. To combat the issue of shortage of wind tunnel facilities in the world, numerical analysis is used instead. Thus, this project aims to analyse the impact of wind effects on high-rise buildings of different shapes with the help of CFD, by making use of ANSYS. The wind effects have been assessed by obtaining the velocity profile and turbulent profile, pressure contours for different faces of the building, and velocity streamlines for the plan and elevation of the building.","PeriodicalId":345208,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Engineering Research and Application","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132101125","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
