They depend on information technology to conduct their business processes that are exposed to wide range of security threats, and Portuguese organizations are no exception. How are these organizations taking a holistic approach to allow them to face and handle those threats with confidence? Are the proper technical mechanisms being put in place and are the appropriate information security skills and awareness programs implemented internally? How is all of this being handled by Portuguese organizations? This are some of the questions tackled on a survey addressed to directors of Portuguese organizations in order to map their current cybersecurity culture and corresponding processes.","PeriodicalId":345129,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"408 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114058387","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this line, there are several studies dedicated to service-oriented software architectures and resource consumption models. However, a few of them are focused on the development of generic tools for the dynamic creation of data provisioning services. This article presents the analysis of a tool called Restify, which is able to dynamically create web services to provide an online database as a service. Restify achieved the system interoperability requirements regarding heterogeneous operations, programming languages, and server infrastructures. As a result, we observed that the performance of this tool was comparable, if not better, than other evaluated web services, such as REST and SOAP. Finally, Restify excels by behaving like an interface tool, allowing the management and integration of multiple online system tools with various relational databases.","PeriodicalId":345129,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122332180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is possible by using aggregation rules, which map files and folders to SIPs, and metadata association rules, which add metadata to the created SIPs. The basic workflow can be defined in a sequence of easy steps where the user starts by selecting the folders to be archived and then chooses which patterns will be used to transform the data in SIPs. As an optional step, it's possible to edit the generated SIPs to either enrich them or fix exceptions to the rule. Lastly, it's possible to export to two different formats: BagIt and E-ARK SIP. In this paper we present and discuss all the decisions and ideas taken to implement RODA-in like which workflow should be used, what aggregation and metadata association options are currently implemented, how the metadata templating system works and which other features can be used to enrich the SIPs.","PeriodicalId":345129,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128135131","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many of these environments are not able to provide responses about student learning and do not provide activities that can be monitored by verifying learning performance. Provide students with activities that can be assessed by process-based instruments, how the conceptual framework is more advantageous and effective than punctuating assessment tools based on multiple-choice, test, or project questions. This article presents a model to assess learning in virtual learning environments through the use of individual and collaborative conceptual maps, student's conceptual organization indexes and previous knowledge index. In this model the conceptual maps are evaluated qualitatively and the results are useful to, among others, define the division of the groups for development of the collaborative conceptual map and to inform the index of the conceptual structure of the student. In addition, the model provides information for students and teachers about learning performance.","PeriodicalId":345129,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124827579","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Any change in temperature can cause a damage in the specific properties in products. Because of that, it is mandatory to constantly monitor temperature and log it to offer traceability. Furthermore, if products must be transported, the position coordinates should be taken into account as well, due to the possibility of making mistakes in logistics personnel, taking non-optimal routes to arrive to the destination, and increasing transportation time. Thus, logistics managers need tools to measure, save and analyze temperature and position in real time to make the most optimal decisions. The implementation of systems meeting Ubiquitous Computing can fulfill the challenge, because the generated information is available to be read, modified and stored everywhere and every time. Besides, messengers can be warned about anomalies regarding change of temperatures or coordinates, adding context awareness to the system. This work aims to show a novel architecture to monitor cold chains by using Ubiquitous Computing paradigm, by means of Single Board Computers. The system includes instrumentation, embedded processing with Single Board Computers, real time databases, Human Computer Interfaces, remote management and support to deploy a complete solution. By using this system, companies ensure traceability and integrity of data in cold chains. A study case is presented to validate the approach.","PeriodicalId":345129,"journal":{"name":"2017 12th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130991492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
