Software Development Methodologies Evaluation: The Importance of Contextual and Technical Criteria 软件开发方法评估:上下文和技术标准的重要性

SDM selection has always been a challenging task for the organization. Besides, the emergence of complex software requirements, changing requirements, source limitations, and inflexible project planning are often new challenges that the software industry faces. This situation urges the need for more practical and realistic software development methods, paying attention to the allocated budget and resources in projects, and developing high-quality software products. Two essential things that need to be borne in mind in selecting an SDM are technical and contextual criteria. Technical criteria consider SDM's technical suitability and adaptability for the project and organization. Contextual criteria usually focus on the organization and individuals' characteristics. Nevertheless, only a few studies are available to pay attention to these both aspects. This study identifies and prioritizes contextual and technical criteria for SDMs evaluation through a systematic literature review study and a survey. As a result, this study has identified five dimensions for technical criteria comprised of 13 items and four dimensions for contextual criteria, including 16 items. The identified criteria were evaluated and prioritized by 32 SDMs experts via a questionnaire. Due to enormous number of mishaps at junctions, there is an extensive need of a method to minimize the mishaps around the junction areas. This paper presents a method of smart traffic signalling along with an effective data dissemination that informs the vehicles to stop, accelerate or decelerate near the junction, to minimize the overall mishap rate. The proposed method allows the traffic light controller to control the timing of traffic lights in the emergency situations and also effectively disseminate the data to the vehicles moving towards the junction informing them about the condition of the junction. It proposes designing systems employing small-scaled, loosely coupled, and independently deployable microservices. There are several benefits of microservices architecture in terms of maintainability, scalability, and productivity which have led to rise in its popularity. Even though there are several studies about development in MSA, the studies on the quality of the microservice-based systems are limited. In this study, we propose a quality model based on fuzzy logic to measure and assess quality attributes of systems in MSA that can be used by software architects, developers, and project managers. We focus on maintainability of microservices because it is one of the most important quality attributes of software systems. We identified sub-characteristics and properties of microservices that affect maintainability, and constructed a hierarchical quality model based on ISO/IEC 250xy standard SQuaRE (System and Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation). Our fuzzy model measures maintainability of microservices in three levels, i.e., low, medium, and high. We provided a basis for the development and application of quality models in industrial practice as well as a basis for further extension. To demonstrate and evaluate our methodology, we used open-source applications designed in MSA. Accordingly, it is also very important to provide the accuracy and degree of credibility of any simulation software by using the proper methods. However, plenty of V&V methods have been created to be applied in the V&V process for simulation models until the end of last half century. Therefore, the method selection process required to perform V&V activities tends to be complex, especially when planning feasibility and cost issues for various simulation projects. This paper introduces Goal-Oriented Categorization (GOC) approach as a dynamic V&V method selection strategy. It outlines two main techniques for constructing the GOC model: i) using a default criterion, categorizing V&V methods based on their identified features; and ii) setting a specific goal to categorize V&V methods when simulation project management information and relevant software metrics are obtainable. In this study, an integration of environmental, mechanical, and software errors in a common language is proposed for an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) application targeting advancement of autonomy, which is one of the important components in Industry 4.0. For this purpose, a semantic ontology for knowledge-based state monitoring is presented. The proposed approach addresses interoperable communication for condition monitoring using semantic technologies. A common fault tracking system has been developed by creating a dictionary for three different types of faults received using RDF. The proposed system is designed to read information of vehicle plate numbers automatically from digital images for many purposes; such as over-speed control, parking areas, traffic control, and top governmental agencies, etc. The proposed system mainly consists of two stages: the first stages are the recognition process which consists of vehicle detection from license plate number, localizing and plate position estimation, segmentation of words and numbers, and license plate recognition stage. The second one is the use of the neural network; three different types of networks were used. (pattern net, perceptron, and multi-layer neural network). simulation result indicated that pattern net has a very good performance in recognizing the license plate image compared to the other two types of networks. On the other hand, cooperative communication along with energy harvesting has been shown to be more useful in increasing system capacity, data speeds, data transmission dependability, and energy-deficient relaying. The purpose of this study is to conduct a performance analysis of Internet of Things (IoT) networks based on dual-hop and half-duplex SWIPT based Cooperative Relaying (SWIPT-CoR). A Decode and Forward (DF) relaying protocol is utilized to harvest energy using a Power Splitting Relaying (PSR) method, and a Harvest and Use protocol is used to transmit the information signal to the target IoT device. The Average Symbol Error Probability (ASEP) is calculated analytically and confirmed using Monte-Carlo simulations as a performance indicator. This study looks at the relationship between depression and the factors contributing to depression in the elderly. Obesity and depression have a bidirectional negative relationship. Older people experience symptoms of depression that have gone undetected and untreated. Therefore, the proposed solution provides the elderly with overcoming depression and loneliness in everyday life and looking after themselves. An elder's life revolves around eating well-balanced meals and staying healthy. This system will include a food picture recognition capability for determining calories and nutritional content. The system will assess the area, size, and volume of food and provide advice such as activities to reduce food's calories. It will also propose alternative healthy food if there is any harmful food in the image. The use of diet to keep improving both health issues is a cornerstone strategy to manage depression in patients. Because chronic diseases and depression have similar physiology, equivalent dietary recommendations could be beneficial. Malnutrition is a significant issue among the elderly. On the other hand, adjusting food-related habits is complicated.
