Our goal is to compute the field in the near and far zones and analyze how it depends on electron beam parameters. We demonstrate the excitation of internal resonances of such a scatterer that can be useful in the design of nanoscale noninvasive beam position monitors.","PeriodicalId":343933,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 17th International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory (MMET)","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128356478","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There were tested two popular single-stage neural networks YOLO v.3 and Tiny YOLO v.3 based on the “You Only Look Once” approach. The considered artificial neural network architectures for objects detection has been trained and applied over the specifically created image database. Experimental verification proves their high detection ability, location precision and realtime processing speed using modern graphics processing unit. That approach can be easily applied for detection of many different classes of ground objects.","PeriodicalId":343933,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 17th International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory (MMET)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130962303","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The interaction of the electromagnetic waves with different radial indices has been observed. We have detected owing to a high loss medium, such a waveguide structure does not have a fixed value of cutoff frequencies. We have presented experimental complex permittivity measurement of different water solutions such as liquids food (grape wines/juices) components and also the time interaction of urea-water solution with urease that can find the application in microbiology research. The proposed structure can be applied as a measuring cell for the determination of the complex permittivity of high loss liquids in small volume in wide microwave range from centimeter to millimeter wavelengths.","PeriodicalId":343933,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 17th International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory (MMET)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127677774","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The advantage of such approach consists in convenient final expressions for electrodynamic characteristics of the given transmission line, that also allow for simple transition to the specific case of circular coaxial waveguide. Explicit formulae for the characteristic impedance, transmitted power and attenuation constant are given and their dependencies on waveguide's geometrical parameters are graphically analyzed.","PeriodicalId":343933,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 17th International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory (MMET)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132631623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This technology enables monitoring of physiological parameters while maintaining mobility and freedom of movement of its user. However, establishing reliable communication between an in-body device and external equipment is still a major challenge. The radiation efficiency is constrained by attenuation and reflection losses in tissues. Furthermore, the antennas suffer from impedance detuning issues caused by uncertain electromagnetic properties of body tissues. First, we show that choosing an optimal operating frequency depends on application scenarios and can reduce the losses. Specific designs are then discussed to mitigate the antenna detuning effects due to surrounding biological tissue. Modeling approaches are proposed to lessen the design and optimization complexity. Finally, we present an accurate characterization method of in-body antennas in canonical phantoms using analog fiber optic links.","PeriodicalId":343933,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 17th International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory (MMET)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124748184","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the case of tube we keep its thickness at the nanoscale however thick enough to allow using the classical electromagnetics analysis. Here, analytical solution of the scattering problem is applied. To characterize the aluminium complex dielectric permittivity function in the visible range, we use experimental data. Our results show that aluminium wires and nanothin tubes display intensive plasmon resonances in the scattering in the deep ultra-violet range if their radius is less than 50 nm however less bright multipole resonances can be seen even if it is as large as 2 µm.","PeriodicalId":343933,"journal":{"name":"2018 IEEE 17th International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory (MMET)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129408590","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
