Preliminary analyses, including confirmatory factor analysis, convergent validity, discriminant validity, and internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha) were estimated before the main model estimation. To test the various hypotheses, Amos (v.23) was used to do structural equation modelling.\u0000Findings: The study concluded that PT partially mediate MA through M. TQ showed moderating effect on relationship between PT and MA. PT however, had significant positive effects on M.\u0000Research limitations/implications: The researcher only looked at the mediation and moderation effects of M and TQ of the relationship between PT and MA in senior high schools. The study also relied on descriptive survey data, which may not be suitable for causal analysis. Future research should, however, consider longitudinal data.\u0000Practical implication: The study informed teachers teaching mathematics and in other different programs to be equipped with knowledge of how students perceive mathematics so as to select the appropriate teaching approach to influence their interest and belief in the study of mathematics.\u0000 Originality/value: There are studies by some researchers combining these variables under study with other factors to influence students’ achievement however, little attention was on the effect on PT on M.

The study was carried out using the descriptive survey design. The target population was second-year students. Through purposive, proportionate stratified, and simple random sampling techniques, questionnaires were administered to 346 second year students, however, 320 questionnaires were returned. The data collected were analyzed using structural equation model with bootstrap samples. It was found that teacher-student relationship was significant negative predictor of students’ mathematics achievement. The study also discovered that, students’ perception of mathematics, students’ self-efficacy and cooperative learning strategies were partially mediated the relationship between teacher-student relationship and students’ mathematics achievement. It was suggested based on the findings that mathematics teachers should be mindful of their relationship with the students, employ varieties of techniques when dealing with students with bad perception of mathematics and also consider the kind of collaborative learning techniques to be adopted in order to accelerate students’ mathematics achievement.

Various reasons have been advanced in an attempt to rationalize this difficulty. This study through an action research design was conducted to improve students’ performance and conceptual understanding of heat transfer at Oti Boateng Senior High School, Koforidua. The instruments used for the study were questionnaires, pre- and post-test. The study identified rote learning, inadequate understanding of concepts among others as the cause of difficulty in problem solving among students. The study revealed that although there are different methods of teaching, the efficacy of the demonstration method cannot be downplayed considering its role in improving students’ academic performance. The study concluded that for effective teaching and learning of heat transfer at SHS, it is important for teachers to employ the demonstration method in their teaching.

The teacher can aid students in honing their problem-solving abilities to assist them build mathematical concepts that can be applied in real-world situations. This research is a case study involving junior high school (JHS) pupils in Ghana’s Tema Metropolis. For the study, data collection and analysis used a qualitative methodology. Using a purposive sample technique, data from 12 participants–six JHS mathematics teachers and six students–were gathered. Data were gathered through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The primary finding is that JHS pupils at Tema Education Metropolis are unable to present their own issues as proof of conceptual knowledge of algebra word problems.

The reason is that some of the modern concepts, which have been developed to define the species category, do not fit the evolutionary theory. In addition, some other concepts are simply criteria for the delimitation of species taxa. In particular, the biological and morphological species concepts, which are present in every textbook and are used almost exclusively in the teaching of evolution, can intensify students’ essentialist perceptions. However, these perceptions could be effectively dealt with the development of the species problem and the nature of species taxa in the classroom, and also the treatment of species as one more level of organization of biological systems during teaching process. This approach is employed in a lesson with a view to contributing to the structure of a fully developed conceptual framework by the students in order to understand the evolution.

The operative use of substitution depends on two things: in an equation or situation in which variables appear, a substitution is a change of variable, and second, the change of variable is effective only if the change of variable makes the expression easier to understand and makes it possible to solve the problem. Substitution will be successful if the original equation has a symmetry or especial property that is possible to explore, and the proficiency in using the method of substitution depends on this.

A non-random sample of seven respondents, including two experienced mathematics educators and five SHS students, were interviewed and analyzed qualitatively using thematic analysis. The analysis revealed seven themes: individual differences, students’ mathematics interests, participatory lessons, extracurriculars, non-interactive teaching, technology use, and cultural diversity. These thematic findings are related to technical, practical, and emancipatory knowledge constituent interests in schools and Ghanaian social, cultural, and historical settings. A teacher should utilize egalitarian pedagogy so that the students will gain practical and emancipatory skills.

Quasi-experimental design was employed. The University has 1,002 chemistry education students, which formed the study population. However, intact class of level 200 containing 250 students with an average age of 20 years was sampled for the study. Five-facet mindfulness questionnaire with the reliability coefficient of 0.85 and the students’ academic records were used as data collection instruments. Research questions were answered through mean and standard deviation while the hypotheses were tested using t-test and analysis of variance. By the end of level 200, MTM was found to have improved the students’ academic achievement, saved over 50% of the students on probation from dropping out of the university and drastically increased students’ mindfulness. Consequently, MTM is hereby recommended for the teaching of chemistry education students not only in Nigerian universities, but globally to save the students on probation from becoming a university’s drop-outs.

In this research, GAENE 2.1 was chosen because it is a one-dimensional tool that can only measure the acceptance of evolution and does not contain items related to the understanding of evolution and the respondent’s religious beliefs. The assessment of the appropriateness of the tool for our sample was tested with the criteria of Rasch model. Despite the fact that some of GAENE 2.1 items may not show the expected statistical fit and probably overestimates the levels of acceptance of evolution, the tool is appropriated to measure with efficiently and effectively way the acceptance of evolution in the specific sample.

A quasi-experimental research was carried out to determine the effectiveness of visual-based instruction on elementary pre-service teachers’ (PST) conceptual understanding of fractions. Data from 97 first-year PSTs at a college of education were collected using an achievement test on the concepts and operational procedures of fractions. Test scores were analysed using descriptive statistics, and the independent samples t-test. The average change in performance from the pre-test to the post-test was assessed using a normalized gain g for each instructional approach. While the difference was not statistically significant, the computed normalised gains show that the visual-based instruction yielded better results than the traditional lecture method. These findings demonstrate a need for raising awareness among pre-service and in-service elementary school teachers on the effectiveness of visual-based instructional approaches for enhancing learners’ understanding of fractions.
