Als Lösung wird deshalb die vollkommene Automatisierung des Straßenverkehrs propagiert. Mit dieser Lösung begibt man sich aber offensichtlich in eine Sackgasse. Vielmehr ist eine signifikante Reduktion nur durch die simultane und vollkommen gleichberechtigte parallele Steuerung des Fahrzeugs durch den menschlichem Fahrer und die Automatik zu erreichen. Es wird gezeigt, wie eine solche Fahrzeuglenkung aus ergonomischer Sicht aussehen könnte.
