In an attempt to address this challenge, Cognitive Radio Network (CRN) which uses Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA) was proposed. It allows licensed users’ or Primary Users’ (PUs) spectrum to be shared with unlicensed users or Secondary Users (SUs). DSA could be achieved by developing an effective channel selection scheme for SUs spectrum handoff. Selecting an appropriate channel for the SUs to continue their interrupted transmission is a challenging task. Several researchers have used different techniques such as Novel Proactive Handoff Scheme (NPHS) to enhance accurate channel selection for spectrum handoff by considering only channel occupancy. These techniques still suffer some set back like high number of spectrum handoff and delay in channel selection. This paper presents an Improved Proactive Spectrum Handoff Scheme (IPHS) for accurate target channel selection in CRN. The improvement is achieved by considering channel signal quality in addition to channel occupancy as a criteria for the selection of a backup channel for spectrum handoff. Simulation results showed that the IPHS reduced the number of spectrum handoff by 15% and 26% as compared to NPHS and IEEE 802.11 scheme respectively. The lifetime in the biased single well decreases as a function of the electric field in good agreement with the previous result. The tunnelling lifetime is revealed with the behavior of the ground-state shift and the wave amplitude in the first well. As the electric field increases, the ground state energy shifts, leading to lessened constructive interference between the initial and reflected electron waves. As the population and the need for energy grow, demand for LPG steadily increases. This situation causes the rise in LPG imports for countries with an insufficient local supply, including Indonesia. To overcome this problem, the Indonesian Government plans to substitute LPG fuel with dimethyl ether (DME). However, stoves and household burners widely used in Indonesia are designed for LPG. Thus it is necessary to study the fuel flexibility of the burners. Many experimental studies on the substitution of LPG with DME are reported in the literature, but few models have been developed to simulate it. This paper aims to evaluate the performance of reaction mechanisms developed to model DME diffusion flames with various burner temperatures ranging from 300 to 1500 K. Tapered Head Sleeve (THS) connectors were fabricated from mild steel pipes. Five test specimens and a control specimen were produced. Each test specimen comprised two walls, which were connected by THS. An incremental shear load was applied at the joint until the specimen failed. The behaviour of the specimens was analyzed based on the load-displacement response. The feasibility of THS as a wall connection was determined based on ductility ratio, failure mode, performance ratio, and serviceability ratio. THS required an embedded length of 8 times the bar diameter to generate sufficient bond strength. The specimens experienced bar dowel action, which led to a significant horizontal displacement with a ductility ratio of 27.5 to 55.9. The test specimens offered shear capacities comparable to the control specimen, with performance ratios close to 1.0. The service load was only 1/3 of the ultimate capacity, and thus THS was ineffective in resisting shear load. One HDMI cable can only connect one device, even though, when needed, one computer or laptop can be displayed on several televisions or projectors using HDMI Splitter. HDMI Splitter is an accessory that displays content on multiple screens. HDMI Splitter has been circulated with various brands that offer different capabilities and specifications. Therefore, Therefore, thorough consideration is needed in choosing the right HDMI Splitter. This study aims to build a decision support system with the Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) approach using Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS). The COPRAS method solves the selection problem by calculating the utility level of alternatives, which shows the extent to which an alternative is better or worse than other alternatives through a comparison process. Based on existing studies, the utility values of each alternative were obtained, namely: Robot HDMI Splitter producing a value of 53.73%, Vention HDMI Splitter producing a value of 65.63%, Bafo HDMI Splitter producing a value of 97.13, and PX HDMI Splitter producing a value of 100%. However, these techniques could not coordinate traffic congestion in the receiver node, which could make the receiver nodes experience an \"active mode\" most of the time compared to the transmit node. This is dangerous to the network system because of uncontrollable energy usage. In this protocol, the intelligent sensor is strategically located around or implanted in the human body for the collection of human body physiological parameters. WBANs experienced some limitations such as latency and excessive consumption of energy which may hinder the lifetime maximization of the system if not taken care of properly. In this work, four elements are responsible for carrying-out only traffic data, and they are implemented by using the highest priority sensor nodes within a short period used for communicating to the Buffer Traffic Condition (BTC) discussed and the traffic measurement to mitigate active-mode interval in the receiving phase of the improved superframe structure of IEEE 802.15.6. Furthermore, meaningful information about the superframe to mitigate the busy traffic and enhance this protocol was also discussed as its possible functions with the help of an adaptive system. This device was developed to aid farmers in the weed-control procedure. The engine frame is one of the primary elements of the weed wacker. The most crucial component of agricultural equipment is the frame or chassis since it serves as the foundation for mounting other parts. To examine the stress and strength of the frame, this study models the frame of a power weeder machine utilizing finite element analysis using the SolidWorks 2022 program. A total load of 120 N is applied to the AISI 316L used for the frame. The analysis's findings indicate that the maximum von Mises stress value is about 2.51 107N/m2, the greatest deformation is 0.556 mm, and the safety factor is 6.8. Traditionally, bioethanol production from microalgae undergoes three major steps: (i) pretreatment; (ii) polysaccharides hydrolysis into simple sugars; and (iii) sugar conversion into bioethanol by fermentation. Microalgae convert sunlight, water, and CO2 into algal biomass. Diatoms, green algae, bluegreen algae, and golden algae are four main classes of microalgae, whereas the two main species of algae are filamentous and phytoplankton algae. Microalgae convert solar energy efficiently, producing an enormous number of various metabolites. Many studies have been conducted to convert microalgae into various biofuels, such as biodiesel, bioethanol, biohydrogen, and biogas. However, compared to biodiesel, bioethanol production from algae throughfermentation consumes less energy with its simplified process. Considering these advantages, a number of potential applications for microalgae have been proposed and developed. Despite the promising of bioethanol from microalgae, it still has a number of obstacles, such as the low fermentable carbohydrate content of microalgae. This article intends to discuss the methods to increase microalgae carbohydrates thoroughly. Following the Middle East crisis in the 1970s, the oil price increased twofold, doubling Brazil’s spending on oil imports. As a result, the country had to find an alternative type of fuel to reduce its expenditure on conventional petrol fuels. With its vast tropical land conditions, the Brazilian government then put massive effort to establish the infrastructure and research of bioethanol from 1975 and 1989. Research plays a pivotal role in the success of Brazil’s ethanol industry. The country was heavily criticised at the beginning of the programme, but today, Brazil is the second-largest ethanol producer after the USA. Brazil produces the cheapest ethanol in the world and does not depend on fossil fuel to supply its energy demand. Indonesia and Brazil share the same landscape and geographical advantages. This paper aims to discuss the success of the Brazilian bioethanol industry and draw important lessons from it. In a nutshell, Indonesia should increase bioethanol production from renewable sources. Also, the modernization of distilleries facilities, the establishment of new production plants, the introduction of subsidies and the reduction of taxes for ethanol producers are needed.
