Our findings suggested that development levels of both stock market and banking sector affected total tax revenues positively when nonlinearities were considered. However, we found that there was no relationship between financial development indicators and tax revenue when nonlinearities were ignored. So, our findings demonstrated that the appropriate modelling method considering the characteristics of the dataset is important to get the right results.","PeriodicalId":341851,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Applied Economics","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126504341","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The available options are one of the derivatives that have entered liquid markets. Therefore, this paper presents an example from the most developed energy exchange EEX (European Energy Exchange), with the aim of applying verified scientific methods to check the practice of functioning of liquid energy market, by using options to reduce the risk. The most frequently used models for hedging future open positions and evaluation of premium on options in practice are the Black Scholes and Black 76 model, which are therefore presented in the text. South East European Power Exchange (SEEPEX) has started operating in Serbia. Its development is going to be via integration with regional markets in the direction of integration of the total electric energy market in Europe. That path will be long, but it has already required the knowledge of market instruments used in trading and risk management at the power exchanges. Presented results refer to the essential knowledge of dynamic variables that options bring into the energy market in order to reduce the risk.","PeriodicalId":341851,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Applied Economics","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133820131","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper aims to provide new evidence of the impact of the business sector on children's rights in Serbia. The analysis of the impact of the Serbian business sector on children's rights was carried out through cabinet research of three sectors identified as a priority based on their influence on the economy and children's rights - ICT, food and agriculture, and financial sector. After interviews with managers responsible for corporate social responsibility in the leading companies from these sectors, their potential impact on children's rights has been mapped together with sectoral risks, while opportunities for shared-value engagement between businesses and organizations and institutions supporting children and their rights were extracted. Our research suggests that shared value in the context of the promotion of children's rights goes far beyond traditional corporate philanthropy, and audits how core business operations, assets and practices, advocacy initiatives, skills, and know-how can support children's rights in achieving Sustainable Development Goals.","PeriodicalId":341851,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Applied Economics","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132578310","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A growing need for confirmation of local cultural identities as well as the tourists search for identity could be seen as a response to the globalization of cultural trends. In this paper we set the hypothesis that the cultural tourism, as a sustainable alternative to mass tourism, represents the best model for local development in the turbulent global context, because it optimally uses the authentic characteristics of destinations and the unique elements of identity to differentiate them from competitors. In this way, it protects and strengthens the cultural identity, values, lifestyle and economy of local communities. To test our hypothesis, we conducted a primary research. We used a hybrid methodological strategy, combining quantitative and qualitative methods in order to examine 417 tourists, 296 local residents and 15 experts. We have conducted parallel content analysis of monographs and multimedia resources. Collected data have shown that the key elements of the destination identity are heritage tourism, creative industries, multiculturality and the local way of life.","PeriodicalId":341851,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Applied Economics","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116507083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, the impact on business performance metrics is also investigated. These metrics are product, and service quality, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and operational performance. In the process of selection, 25 out of 110 papers were chosen for further analysis. The sum of samples is 6605. Therefore, the paper has moderate significance and moderate contribution in the domain of ISO 9001 certification. The key findings of this paper indicated that ISO 9001 certification can improve operational performance, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and overall business performance. However, negative impact of ISO 9001 on the mentioned constructs is also noted. For practical implication, companies may use this systematic review as a tool which may help in decision making regarding ISO 9001 standards certification or overall business performance improvement.","PeriodicalId":341851,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Applied Economics","volume":"197 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115005543","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Factors affecting the rapid development of cross-border shopping are numerous, such as price differentiation, quality, convenience, demographic and social characteristics, good organizational structure developed in modern retail and many others. Among the influencing factors, the role of price differentiation of goods and services is very important and it is also affected by numerous factors. Those are: value added tax, profit margins, operating costs, exchange rates, inflation, differentiation of organizational structure in retail, the application of advanced information and communication technology and others. Cross-border shopping is, in itself, very important influential factor for the development of tourism, target retail market, performance of retail companies and living standard. Altogether, this has a positive effect on the overall performance of the national economy.","PeriodicalId":341851,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Applied Economics","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131690377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Given the actuality and mass state of Internet sales, questions and issues of consumer protection will be set within the boundaries of this narrow field of contract law. In the central part of the paper, the authors will present the most important regulations governing this area both in the European Union and Serbia, as well as the degree of their harmonization. They will also attempt to provide answers to some basic questions and issues which customers face when making on-line purchases. The Republic of Serbia has passed a set of laws which comply with the requirements and standards of the European Union. However, it is necessary to continuously conduct the process of education not only of employees in state services and traders, but also consumers in order to raise awareness about the significance and benefits of e-commerce, and above all, customer protection.","PeriodicalId":341851,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Applied Economics","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130022251","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
