Such fuels and their combustion processes are characterized by higher environmental, energy, economic, and operational properties. Of great interest is the use of gel fuels prepared by thickening emulsions and suspensions to the state of elastically deformable materials for the aerospace industry and thermal power engineering. Gel fuels have advantages over widespread liquid fuels in environmental and fire safety aspects of storage processes, transportation, and combustion.","PeriodicalId":341242,"journal":{"name":"NONEQUILIBRIUM PROCESSES: RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126822930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nonequilibrium plasma can excite the gas molecules to higher energy states, directly dissociate or ionize the molecules and, thereby, has the potential to produce reactive species at residence time and location in a combustible mixture and then to efficiently accelerate the overall pyrolysis, oxidation, and ignition. Previous studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of plasma-assisted combustion by using direct current, alternating currant, microwave, radio frequency, and pulsed nanosecond discharge (NSD). Due to the complicated interaction between plasma and combustion in different types of plasma, detailed plasma-combustion chemistry is still not well understood.","PeriodicalId":341242,"journal":{"name":"NONEQUILIBRIUM PROCESSES: RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124837995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
