Patients excluded from the study are those previously operated previously, history of cervical trauma, operated for a brain tumour. \u0000RESULTS: we had 91 CM patients, 58 (63.7%) were male, and 33 (36.26%) were female patients and the means age for this surgical procedure was 32 years old. Moreover, all of the patients were gone through the Posterior Fossa Decompression, C1 Laminectomy and Duraplasty. For duraplasty, we took autologous cervical fascia, 1patient had C1 assimilation. 12 (13.1%) patients had hydrocephalus; Ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt was placed. Headache was in 91 patients with duration resolved in 87 (95.6%) patients, neck pain was in 82 (90.1%) patient resolved in 74 (90.2%) cases, syrinx was in 36 (39.5%) cases improved in 28 (77.8%) cases, cerebellar sign improved in 40 (83.3%) out of 48 (52.7%) patient, limb numbness resolved in 56 (71.7%) out of 78 (85.7%) cases swallowing difficulty was 31( 34.0%)cases and improved in 24 (77.4%) cases and weakness in upper limbs was relieved in 31 (34%) patients.","PeriodicalId":34119,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Dow University of Health Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44388319","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In such scenarios, we rely on imaging to give diagnosis to clinicians and also provide a roadmap. A rare scenario like peliosis hepatis has grave prognosis. The etiology is still under consideration. Our main aim through this rare case report is to create awareness amongst clinicians and radiologists since it initially closely resembled hepatocellular carcinoma and atypical hemangiomas. It was through our close analysis and detailed literature review that we came to close diagnosis.","PeriodicalId":34119,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Dow University of Health Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41448011","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This condition mostly affects one testicle, but in ten percent of time, both testes can be involved. Many factors contribute to this problem, including: born prematurely, low birth weight, twinning, being born as small for gestational age, cigarette smoking and alcohol consumption by 1 mother during pregnancy. Cryptorchidism might be diagnosed during a physical examination when baby is born or at any checkup after birth, by \"palpation\" on 2 examination by the doctor. If the normal descend of testes do not occur, many complications can occur like deficiency in sperm count and poor quality of sperm can occur due temperature rise in undescended testes. There is a lower risk of developing carcinoma as a complication, approximately one percent but still the 3 risk persists. Seminoma is the commonest malignancy in such testes, while malignancy being testicular germ 3 cell tumors. Along its pathway of formation and descent, the testes can be found anywhere along, but to be present in abdomen is most prominent. Out of malignancy forming in all undescended testes, there is a rate of occurrence as high as five times in intra4 abdominal testes. Orchiectomy, staging of the disease using radiology and tumor marker testing, and subsequent chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy leads the treatment options in such cases.
