Representative length scale of Ultra Large Scale Integration (ULSI) cells is going to be in nano-meter order. Dislocation accumulation during the production process in the electron channel of semiconductor device is one of the most serious problems. Dislocation accumulation has an enormous effect on the electronic state of the device. Therefore, the evaluation and suppression of dislocation accumulation are crucially important for the design and development of semiconductor device structure. In this study, we numerically analyze the suppression of dislocation accumulation in the shallow trench isolation type ULSI cells. Accumulation of dislocations is analyzed by employing a technique of crystal plasticity analysis and we evaluate the dislocation density distribution and total length of dislocations in the silicon substrate. Possibilities for the suppression of dislocation accumulation are discussed.","PeriodicalId":341040,"journal":{"name":"Transactions of the JSME (in Japanese)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130585422","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With an optimal combination of injection timing, ignition timing and controlled jet geometry, this combustion process markedly improved thermal efficiency by reducing cooling loss which is an essential element to be reduced for improving thermal efficiency in hydrogen engine. In this study, in order to evaluate the cooling loss in hydrogen engine, characteristics of local cooling loss of PCC combustion are evaluated by measuring heat flux in two locations, one in the leading location and the others in the trailing location in the combustion chamber. As a result, it was found that local cooling heat flux in the leading direction of the jet injected showed extremely high level compare to trailing direction and spatially averaged cooling loss of the combustion chamber in injection angle of 15° of PCC combustion. By enlarging injection angle to 25°, thermal efficiency was improved and local heat flux in the leading direction is also mitigated. This result indicated that capturing local heat flux, especially in the leading direction of the injected jet, is a key to improve thermal efficiency.","PeriodicalId":341040,"journal":{"name":"Transactions of the JSME (in Japanese)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123349753","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, we propose to increase the combustion intensity by incorporating oxygen enrichment with lean combustion. The objective of present study is to investigate the effects of oxygen enrichment on lean combustion behavior in SI engine. Premixed methane-air-oxygen mixture was combusted in a rapid compression expansion machine with varying their concentration. Experimental conditions were determined by identifying the conditions where the laminar burning velocity significantly changes by oxygen enrichment with 1-D simulation of premixed combustion. Histories of pressure were measured to evaluate heat release rate. Luminous flame was captured by a high-speed camera to observe the flame propagation. As a result, laminar burning velocity increased with oxygen concentration, which caused reduction of combustion period and enhancement of the indicated thermal efficiency. On the other hand, this trend was suppressed when the fuel concentration is lower than 6.85 %. In addition, when the fuel concentration is relatively large, flame propagation speed increased with increase in oxygen concentration, which can cause autoignition of end gas. NOx emission decreased or kept almost constant with increase in oxygen concentration, which might be due to the shortened combustion duration.","PeriodicalId":341040,"journal":{"name":"Transactions of the JSME (in Japanese)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120956315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the guidance and scoring of gymnastics are also difficult. In recent years, various sports aimed at improving the performance of players from scientific perspectives are increasing. Even in the gymnastics competition, a player's skeleton is estimated from a number of points with three-dimensional coordinate data in measurement using Light Detection and Ranging(LiDAR), and the operation analysis of the player is conducted. They identify gymnastics skills as a scoring support system and serve to accuracy and fairness of scoring. However, they have not been evaluated how players deal with the apparatus. The grasping the size and direction of the force from the amount of deformation of the apparatus leads to the improvement of the skills. In addition, players are changing the gymnastic apparatus to their own preferences by adjusting the load of cables. From this, the load of cables is an important factor in load condition identification of the apparatus. In this research, we will use the load cell to measure the load of cables and consider whether the load of cables when the quasi-static load is applied is useful for load condition identification of the gymnastics horizontal bar apparatus.","PeriodicalId":341040,"journal":{"name":"Transactions of the JSME (in Japanese)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114102492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its strength was evaluated by the failure function based on the first invariant of stress tensor I1 and the second invariant of deviatoric stress tensor J2, which has been discussed in the related previous paper. We defined a sum of squares of the failure function as an objective function in the optimization. Two types of the adhesive material properties, which put the major weights on only I1 and J2, respectively, were numerically examined. As a multi-material structure model bonded by the adhesive, a thin-walled butt-jointed cylinder was employed to avoid stress concentration at free edges in the adhesive layer. Three kinds of loadings were applied: only tension, only torsion, and a tension-torsion combined load. The shape of optimal adhesive layer according to each condition was in good agreement with the simplified theoretical solution. The kinked part of the optimal adhesive interface necessary for the pipe configuration was also reasonable to diminish the stress concentration around the corner. The obtained optimal shapes for the two typical adhesive material properties suggest that the present optimization method would be applicable dependent to the adhesive material parameters under multiaxial stress states.","PeriodicalId":341040,"journal":{"name":"Transactions of the JSME (in Japanese)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114786146","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
