Ribeiro","doi":"10.5212/emancipacao.v.20.2014214.009","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5212/emancipacao.v.20.2014214.009","url":null,"abstract":": The article analyzes some impacts of the ongoing capitalist crisis in the Social Work profession, placing it in the social and technical division of labor. Particularizes the debate in the reality of the Social Workers who work in the municipality of Parintins, state of Amazonas. The content is based on bibliographic review and documentary research which was conducted in eight Course Completion Papers - TCC of Social Work, from the last five years, presented to the Federal University of Amazonas - UFAM, Parintins campus. The main objective was to identify the importance of population participation in the execution of social control mechanisms. We start from the assumption that it is essential the existence, interlocution and good functioning of the participation instances as a fundamental element in guaranteeing the social and political rights of the population. Thus, through the bibliographical review, we constructed an argumentative basis based on some theoretical categories such as: history of the democratic State of rights and the conception of social participation that enabled us to base the qualitative analyzes of the data collected. Participants were members and servants of the Public Ministry of Paraná and representatives of the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná, partner institution in the development of actions. This characteristic brought to the public policies severe consequences among them, social assistance. The Brazilian welfare has been suffered hypertrophy since the beginning of 2000, despite that the situation is permeated by contrast and recently minimized and selective. This study is theoretical research of bibliographical and documentary type aims to understand the particularities, advances, and retreats of the social assistance that take it or not overcoming familism. The work conclusion is that services created in politics in the years 2000, nationally typified include defamiliarizing aspects.
